How does the DoubleTree shuttle connect with JFK terminals and Federal Circle?

The DoubleTree's complimentary shuttle runs every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, according to the lot instructions on Airport Parking Reservations. On return you call the hotel after collecting your bags, ride the AirTrain to Federal Circle, and wait at the Free Hotel Shuttle Pick Up sign. The AirTrain is free between the terminals and Federal Circle and runs every 5 to 15 minutes.

The hotel owner describes the DoubleTree as minutes from JFK, and the Airport Parking Reservations listing says it is only a mile away. JFK's own AirTrain page confirms that hotel shuttles leave from Federal Circle. The $8.75 AirTrain fare is charged only at the Jamaica and Howard Beach stations, so the terminal to Federal Circle leg costs nothing. Budget time for the AirTrain ride and a shuttle that may be up to 30 minutes away.

Arriving at the DoubleTree

  1. Drive to 135-30 140th St, Jamaica, NY 11436.
  2. Arrive at least 30 minutes before you want to leave for the airport, as the lot instructions ask.
  3. Show your reservation receipt at the valet podium.
  4. Hand over your keys. The valet attendant issues a claim ticket for the vehicle and the keys, because there is no self parking.
  5. If your vehicle is oversized, expect to pay $15 a day at the lot, then board the complimentary shuttle.

Returning from your trip

  1. Collect your luggage, then call the hotel at +1 718-322-2300 to arrange pickup.
  2. Follow the signs to the AirTrain and ride it to Federal Circle.
  3. Wait next to the Free Hotel Shuttle Pick Up sign for the hotel shuttle.
  4. At the hotel, settle any overstay at the lot's posted rates, and note the $25 daily charge if you collect the car after your reservation's departure date.

The recurring good theme is people: the April 2026 reviewer praised the service in a storm, and the February 2025 reviewer said attendants were nice and had the car ready after a call ahead. The recurring bad theme is the return shuttle. The September 2025 reviewer said nobody explained that pickups had moved to Federal Circle, which is where the lot's instructions now send returning travelers.

I'd never use this organization again. I understand that the construction at JFK has caused businesses like yours new challenges to the way that you preform the services provided, but you need to be upfront about the changes. No where in your website did you describe how you were changing the pick-up point, of returning flights, to Federal Circle, instead of the terminals themselves. Then we waited 40 minutes for the Double Tree van which never showed up. We (and others) were rescued by the Residence Inn driver who noticed us still there after his second trip around, who agreed to take us to the Double Tree. To make matters worse, when we pulled up, the two Double Tree vans where parked in the lot. Whenever I use this type of service at LGA, they ask for my ticket number when I call in for the pick-up, that's obviously not a practice of yours. When we got to the hotel I needed to present my ticket, I assumed so the attendant could look-up where my car was parked, he came out of the booth with my keys and proceeded to walk the lot pressing the alarm button to locate my car. For a flight that landed at 2pm. we didn't get on the road until 4:15pm. Kiss this potential repeat customer goodbye. By the way, you owe me $25.00 for the tip I gave to the Residence Inn driver who bailed us out

Only one van to pick up passengers- took at least 45 minutes- in the freezing cold. Had to leave one woman behind. Parking lot was insane! Holiday weekend & cars were everywhere. I called in advance to have my car ready. To their credit, it was wait for me. Took a while to exit but attendants were really nice. Equally frustrated.
