The port's own garages and lots charge a $20 daily maximum, cannot be reserved, and are assigned by cruise terminal. An off-site shuttle lot in Dania Beach was quoted at $95.13 all-in for a 7-night cruise (September 26 to October 3, 2026), against up to $140 in a port garage. Heron Garage serves Terminals 2 and 4, Palm Garage serves Terminals 19, 21, 25, 26 and 29, and Lot C sits next to Terminal 18. Oversized vehicles pay $25 a day, and both garages have a 7-foot clearance.
What the port charges at its garages and lots
Every port-run garage and surface lot uses the same fee schedule. You pull a ticket at the entry machine, the daily clock starts at that moment, and you pay when you leave. The port does not accept reservations or pre-payment, so there is no way to lock in a space ahead of sailing day.

The port counts a vehicle as oversized when it is wider or taller than a standard space. Both garages have a 7-foot clearance. RVs, trailers and other vehicles too tall for the upper floors, up to 24 feet long, get special limited parking instead, so call the parking management team at 954-468-3680 before you drive in with one. The port's parking guide lists that number under SP Plus Parking.
You can pay with cash, credit or debit card at contactless machines on the first floor of each garage. The port suggests taking your parking ticket on the cruise with you, so you can pay at a machine on the way back to the car and skip the exit line.
Which garage or lot serves your cruise terminal
Your terminal decides where you park. Heron Garage covers Terminals 2 and 4, Palm Garage covers Terminals 19, 21, 25, 26 and 29, and Terminal 18 has Lot C next door. The port asks drivers to drop passengers and luggage at the terminal curb first, then go park.

Space counts, clearances and terminal assignments come from the port's parking page, and the port's interactive parking map shows where to drop luggage for each terminal. The port's official parking guide FAQ describes the roughly 400-space lot between Terminals 18 and 19 as the one used when the Terminal 18 lot and Palm Garage are full, so the closest option can run out on busy days even though the port has more than 5,500 spaces in total.

The port lists assignments sailing by sailing, so look up your own date on the port's Find A Cruise listing, which shows the terminal and the assigned garage or lot for each departure. We only checked September sailings, so Holland America, Viking, Crystal and Cunard guests should look up their own date rather than rely on the table above.
Port garage or off-site shuttle lot: what 3, 4, 5 and 7 nights cost
On a 3-night cruise the port garage costs about the same as the off-site lot and saves you the shuttle ride. The gap grows with every night: on a 7-night cruise, Park By The Ports was $44.87 less than the most a port garage can charge.

How to read the table: the port garage column multiplies the $20 daily maximum by the number of nights, because each daily rate starts when you pull the ticket. The port does not publish how it prices a short final day, so treat that column as the ceiling. The Park By The Ports column is the total ParkingAccess quoted for those exact dates on September 15, 2026, with taxes and the $9.95 service fee included. Your dates may price differently, so search them before you decide.
Two things can flip the math. Park By The Ports' shuttle covers the first 4 people in your party and charges $10 for each extra person, so a party of 6 adds at least $20 and makes the port garage the cheaper choice on a 3-night or 4-night cruise. A party of 5 on a 3-night cruise also comes out ahead at the port. Oversized vehicles pay $25 a day at the port, which is $175 for 7 nights, but Park By The Ports does not accept RVs at all.
Park By The Ports: what the Dania Beach lot includes
Park By The Ports is an uncovered self-park lot at 100 Fronton Blvd. in Dania Beach, 3.9 miles from the port, with a shuttle to the cruise terminals included for up to 4 people. On every date we searched in September and October 2026, it was the only off-site lot with space to book on ParkingAccess for Port Everglades sailings.

The shuttle hours matter more than the price for afternoon departures. If your cruise line assigns a check-in time close to 2:00 PM, call the lot at 954.727.5566 to confirm when the last shuttle leaves.
ParkingAccess also lists cruise parking at Pier Sixty Six Hotel & Marina, 0.8 miles from the port on SE 17th Street, but it showed as sold out for every date we searched between September 18 and November 1, 2026.
Getting your car through the port security checkpoint
Everyone in the car who is 18 or older needs a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, plus cruise documents at the checkpoint, and the vehicle can be screened. Only the Eller Drive checkpoint off I-595 is open 24 hours.

From I-95 southbound take Exit 26, from I-95 northbound take Exit 24, from I-75 take Exit 19, and from Florida's Turnpike take Exit 54. Each of those leads to I-595 East and the port exit. After the checkpoint, security hands you a placard to hang on the rear-view mirror or leave on the driver's side of the dashboard where it can be seen.
Florida Statute 311.12 makes it illegal to keep a weapon in your vehicle on seaport property, and that includes a car parked in a port garage for a week. The port tells drivers to store guns off port property for the whole cruise. Details are on the port's security page and the port's directions page.
Drop-off, pickup, taxis and rideshare at the terminals
Drop bags and passengers at the terminal curb before you park, and never leave the car unattended in a drop-off lane. Most guests are off the ship between 7 and 9 AM on return day, and anyone picking them up can wait for free in a cell phone lot.

Pickup and return-day details come from the port's arriving and departing guide. If your flight home leaves from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, the port notes that airlines there may only check bags up to two hours before departure, so a same-morning flight still needs some buffer.
Disabled parking and the port's fee waiver
Parking is free in every port garage and lot for a disabled driver whose car has one of three things: a Florida Toll Exemption Permit, equipment such as ramps, lifts or hand controls, or a Disabled Veteran license plate from any state. A regular disabled parking permit is not on that list, and the port says agents will not waive fees for any other reason.
The waiver comes from Florida Statute 316.1964, and the Disabled Veteran plate has to be on the car that is parked at the port during the cruise. Every port garage and lot has disabled spaces with access to crosswalks and elevators, according to the port's disabled parking page. If you need a wheelchair-accessible shuttle at an off-site lot, call Park By The Ports before booking, because we did not find that described on the lot's home page.
Who should skip the port garage, and who should skip the shuttle lot
Neither option is right for everyone. The port garage suits short cruises and big groups, and the off-site lot suits week-long cruises for 4 people or fewer.

How much does it cost to park at Port Everglades?
The port charges $4 for up to an hour, $8 for up to 5 hours, and a $20 daily maximum in every garage and lot, or $25 a day for oversized vehicles. A 7-night cruise costs up to $140 in a port garage. Park By The Ports, an off-site shuttle lot, was $8.99 a day, or $95.13 all-in for a 7-night cruise, on ParkingAccess on September 15, 2026.
Do I need to reserve parking at Port Everglades?
You cannot reserve at the port. It does not accept reservations or pre-payment for its garages and lots, and spaces go to whoever arrives first. Off-site lots such as Park By The Ports do take reservations, and the lot says a reservation guarantees your spot.
Do the port's garages fill up?
