ATL raised on-site parking rates for the first time in eight years on May 1, 2025 — Economy jumped to $20/day, Daily decks hit $30, and International Park-Ride tripled to $30. Off-site lots along Camp Creek Parkway start around $4–$6/day with free shuttle service. But the real decision at ATL isn't price — it's Domestic vs. International. The two terminals have completely separate parking, separate access roads, and separate shuttles. Park on the wrong side and you'll burn 20–40 minutes fixing it. This guide covers every on-site facility with verified post-May 2025 rates, the break-even math for on-site vs. off-site by trip length, SkyTrain vs. shuttle logistics, and the off-site lots that actually serve the International terminal.
ATL has roughly 30,000 on-site parking spaces and still fills up on holiday weekends. After the May 2025 rate increase — the first in eight years — on-site parking costs 30–70% more than it did in April 2025. Economy jumped from $14 to $20/day, Daily decks went from $19 to $30, and International Park-Ride tripled from $10 to $30. Off-site lots along Camp Creek Parkway now start around $4–$6/day, which makes the math obvious for any trip longer than two days.
The single most important parking decision at ATL isn't price — it's whether you're flying Domestic or International. The two terminals have completely separate parking infrastructure, separate access roads, and separate shuttle systems. Choose wrong and you'll add 20–40 minutes to your trip.
Quick decision: Domestic flight → use North Daily/Economy/Park-Ride or off-site with Domestic terminal shuttle. International flight → use International Park-Ride or International Hourly, or off-site lots that explicitly serve the International terminal (not all do).
These rates reflect ATL's published rate increase announced April 21, 2025 — the first adjustment in eight years. ATL cited a 30% increase in the Atlanta metro CPI since the prior rates and $25.5M in projected annual parking debt service.
| Facility | Hourly | Daily Max | Best For | How You Get to the Gate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| North/South Hourly Decks | $10 first hr, $15/hr after | $70 Day 1, $100/day after | Picking up or dropping off someone — terrible for overnight | Walk across the street to the terminal. ~2 minutes |
| North/South Daily Decks | $10 first hr, $15/hr after | $30/day | 1–3 day business trips where you want zero shuttle hassle | Walk across the street. Levels 2–4. ~3 minutes |
| North Economy | $10 first hr | $20/day | Budget-conscious trips 3+ days (South Economy temporarily closed) | Free shuttle bus. ~10–15 min depending on traffic loop |
| Domestic Park-Ride | $10 first hr | $15/day | Best on-site value for 4+ day trips | Free 24-hour shuttle directly to Domestic terminal |
| ATL West Deck | $10 first hr | $30/day | Reliable backup when terminal decks fill; covered + modern | Free SkyTrain ride. ~5 minutes to Domestic terminal |
| ATL Select (Sullivan Rd) | — | $15 uncovered / $20 covered / $40 oversized | Long trips, oversized vehicles, budget travelers | Free shuttle. ~10 min |
| Facility | Hourly | Daily Max | Best For | How You Get to the Gate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| International Hourly Deck | $10 first hr, $15/hr after | $70 Day 1, $100/day after | Quick pickup/dropoff only — absurdly expensive for overnight | Walk to check-in. ~2 minutes |
| International Park-Ride Deck | — | $30/day | Multi-day international trips when you want on-site | Free 3-minute shuttle to International Departures level |
South Economy is temporarily closed due to ongoing construction. A new ~6,700-space South Deck is expected to open around mid-2026 as part of ATL's multibillion-dollar ATLNext capital program.
Off-site lots along Camp Creek Parkway and Sullivan Road typically run $4–$10/day with free shuttle service. Here's what the numbers look like for a 7-day trip:
| Option | 7-Day Cost | Transfer Method | Time to Terminal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domestic Daily Deck | $210 | Walk | ~3 min |
| Economy (North) | $140 | Airport shuttle | ~10–15 min |
| Domestic Park-Ride | $105 | 24-hr shuttle | ~8–12 min |
| ATL Select (uncovered) | $105 | Shuttle | ~10 min |
| Off-site (avg $6/day) | $42 | Off-site shuttle | ~10–20 min |
| Off-site (avg $4/day) | $28 | Off-site shuttle | ~10–20 min |
At $6/day off-site, you save $63 over Park-Ride and $168 over Daily for a week. For a 10-day trip, the off-site savings vs. Daily hits $240. The tradeoff is shuttle variability — off-site shuttle frequency ranges from every 10 minutes (Peachy, Routes) to every 30 minutes (some hotel lots), and most stop running between 11 PM and 5 AM.
ATL West Deck is ticketless. It uses license plate recognition (LPR) to read your plate on entry and exit and calculate the fee automatically. It also has a real-time guidance system that shows open spaces per level. No other ATL on-site lot does this. If you hate circling for spaces, West Deck is the play — but you're paying $30/day for it.
The SkyTrain is not a shuttle bus. It's a free automated people mover on a fixed rail. It connects ATL West Deck, the Rental Car Center, and the Georgia International Convention Center to both terminals. Runs every 2–5 minutes during normal hours. This is faster and more predictable than any shuttle bus.
The Plane Train connects concourses T through F after security. Runs about every 2 minutes. Once you're inside security at the Domestic terminal, you can reach any domestic concourse (T, A, B, C, D) without going back outside. International concourses (E, F) are also on the Plane Train but require a longer ride.
MARTA goes directly into the Domestic terminal. The Airport Station sits between the North and South baggage claims. Red and Gold lines both serve it. The fare is $2.50 to the airport, $5 from the airport. For travelers coming from Midtown, Downtown, or Buckhead, MARTA during rush hour is often faster and cheaper than driving + parking. There's a free shuttle from International arrivals to the Domestic terminal MARTA station.
EV charging is available at no extra cost beyond parking fees. ATL has 275+ chargers spread across North/South Daily decks, International Hourly, ATL West, ATL Select, and other facilities.
This is the one thing most parking guides skip, and it's the one thing that actually matters at ATL.
If you're flying Domestic (Delta, Southwest, American, United, Frontier, JetBlue, Spirit, Alaska — Concourses T, A, B, C, D):
If you're flying International (Air France, British Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Korean Air — Concourse F, plus some Delta international — Concourse E):
If you park Domestic-side and need International: You'll need to take the Plane Train from Concourse T all the way to Concourse F, or exit security and take the SkyTrain. Either way, add 20–30 minutes minimum.
Nearly every off-site ATL lot sits along the Camp Creek Parkway corridor west of the airport or on Sullivan Road south of it. The main operators:
Park 'N Fly / The Parking Spot — The big chains. Multiple locations on Camp Creek. Shuttles every few minutes to Domestic. The Parking Spot 1 (Camp Creek & Potomac Dr) also serves International from their covered parking area, shuttling every ~30 minutes. Rates typically $8–$16/day depending on covered/uncovered and booking window.
Peachy Airport Parking (3100 Sylvan Rd) — Serves both Domestic and International terminals. 24-hour shuttle. Indoor covered option available. Has an app for real-time shuttle tracking. Level 1 EV charging included for indoor reservations through their rewards program. One of the few off-site lots with genuine International terminal access.
Routes Atlanta (2144 Sullivan Rd) — Valet service, shuttle every 15 minutes from 6 AM–11 PM. Rates from ~$5/day. Popular for long-term stays. Domestic terminal shuttle only.
WallyPark (3889 Herschel Rd) — Separate Domestic and International locations. Covered self-parking. Shuttle every 30 min. Rates from ~$8/day.
Hotel park-and-ride lots (Days Inn, Super 8, Quality Inn, Sonesta, etc.) — Cheapest options, often $4–$6/day. Shuttle quality and frequency vary widely. Some run on-demand, some hourly, some stop at 10 PM. Always confirm shuttle hours before booking. Some don't have shuttles at all and rely on Uber/Lyft.
If your international flight departs before 6 AM, most off-site shuttles won't be running frequently enough. International Park-Ride has a 24-hour shuttle, but off-site options may have 30–60 minute gaps in the early morning. In this scenario, either park on-site at International Park-Ride or take a rideshare.
If you're traveling solo for a 2–3 day domestic trip, the math might favor a rideshare over parking entirely. A round-trip Uber/Lyft from Midtown Atlanta to ATL runs about $40–$60 total. That's comparable to 2 days of Economy parking ($40) plus zero shuttle hassle on return.
If it's Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Spring Break week, on-site lots can fill by mid-morning. Economy (North) and Park-Ride fill first. ATL West Deck is usually the last on-site option standing because of its size and the fact that many travelers don't know about it. If you're not at the airport by 8 AM during peak periods, book off-site and don't gamble.
South Economy is closed. This catches repeat travelers off guard. It's been temporarily shut down for construction and won't reopen until the new South Deck is finished (expected mid-2026). If South Economy was your usual spot, North Economy or ATL Select ($15 uncovered) are your closest equivalents.
The I-285 vs. I-85 routing matters. If you're coming from Marietta, Smyrna, or Douglasville (northwest suburbs), you'll hit Camp Creek Parkway off-site lots first before reaching the airport loop. Park 'N Fly Plus and The Parking Spot 2 are the first lots you pass. If you're coming from Downtown or the east side, I-85 South puts you at The Parking Spot Fly (Camp Creek & Conley St) right at exit 72 — one of the closest off-site facilities to the terminal.
Park and Wait Lot is free. Located at 1920 Autoport Drive, College Park. For people picking up arriving passengers, this is the correct move instead of circling Hourly. From I-85 North: take the Domestic Terminal exit, turn right onto Autoport Drive. Well-lit, monitored, and designed for short waits.
MARTA from College Park station is a hack some frequent travelers use: park at the College Park MARTA station lot (free), ride one stop to the Airport station. Total cost: $5 round trip for the train, $0 for parking. Works well if you're coming from the south side and don't want to deal with airport traffic at all.
ATL is in the middle of its largest-ever capital improvement program. For parking, the key impacts:
Expect construction-related lane closures and rerouting on Airport Loop Road and Camp Creek Parkway through at least 2027. Build an extra 10–15 minutes into your drive during active construction periods.
