On-Site Airport Parking Availability & Rates

Whether you’re looking for a convenient parking lot or garage, SMF offers various parking choices to all airport passengers. Daily maximums run from $12 in the economy lots to $21 in Garage 1, per the airport's parking page (checked October 4, 2026).

See below for a full list of SMF long term parking fees as well as short term prices.

• Garage 2 is under construction next to Terminal B. The airport lists it as opening in fall 2026 and describes a six-story, 5,537-space garage. Until it opens, Garage 1 is the closest parking to both terminals.
• Garage 1 serves both terminals: the pedestrian bridge to Terminal A is on the 3rd floor and the one to Terminal B is on the 5th floor. It charges $2 per 30 minutes until 3½ hours, then the daily maximum of $21 per 24 hours. Vertical clearance is 8 feet 2 inches.
• The Daily Lot is situated before the garage entrance on Airport Boulevard. Free shuttle service is available every 15-20 minutes to and from the terminals. It charges $2 per 30 minutes until 2½ hours, then a daily maximum of $14.
• The South, East and West Economy Lots are the SMF cheapest parking option. They are the farthest lots from the terminals, with no walkway, so you ride the complimentary shuttle, which runs every 25-30 minutes; the airport says to allow up to 60 minutes from parking to the terminal. They charge $2 per 30 minutes until 2 hours, then a daily maximum of $12.
• Rates rise when Garage 2 opens: the airport says daily maximums will go from $12 to $14 in the economy lots, from $14 to $19 at the Daily Lot and from $21 to $28 for garage parking, with no increase in 2027 and $1 a year from January 1, 2028 through 2031. It has not published the exact date.

All parking at the airport is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Since reservations are not available (the airport plans them for 2027), we recommend you arrive early to have more time to park in case a lot is filled. Cashier booths no longer take cash: pay by card at the exit, or use a pay-on-foot kiosk for cash. Accessible Parking / Handicapped Parking

People with disabilities that have a valid ADA placard can park in one of the many designated parking spaces in any parking lot at the posted rate. Shuttle buses are lift-equipped but note that shuttle service is not provided within the garage.

Oversized Vehicles

If your vehicle is more than 21 feet long, you will be charged double the posted rates. Vertical clearance in the SMF parking garage is 8 feet 2 inches.
