How to make parking reservations at DIA?

Denver International served nearly 34 million passengers in 2022 (according to Wikipedia), and it is one of the busiest airports in the entire U.S. That’s why we created this guide to parking at Denver Airport to help you save time and money and find the most affordable deals.

Airport transportation is provided by the Regional Transportation District (RTD) (DIA). With departures every 15 minutes, the A Line train service travels 37 minutes between Denver International Airport and Denver Union Station in the city's center. Additionally, RTD provides SkyRide, an airport express bus service that connects Boulder or Arapahoe County with DIA. RTD route 104L provides hourly service with few stops to Thornton. Two commuter services, RTD routes 145X to Brighton and 169L to Aurora, have a few runs each day.

Airport Parking Rates & Availability

DIA offers many official parking options located near the terminals. Whether you’re looking for cheap lots or exclusive valet service, you will find what you need at DEN. Daily rates vary based on the lot - from $7 for the 61st and Peña Lot to $168 for Short-Term Parking.

• Short Term Parking provides quick access to Jeppesen Terminal, and it's a costly daily option. Two short-term garages are located on the Arrivals level - in Parking Garage East and West. These covered spots are ideal if you pick someone up or drop them off; overnight parking is not allowed. The hourly rate is $7, while the daily fee is $168.
• Valet Parking is the most convenient option. There is an east and west Valet located in Garage East/West. You can call Valet personnel at (720) 641-7139 in advance to get faster valet service. The rates are as follows: the first hour is $16, and each additional hour is $4. For up to 3 days, the daily rate is $35; it will be only $14/day after that.
• Garage Parking offers two options - Garage East and Garage West - adjacent to the Jeppesen Terminal on the east/west side. They have five levels and include both covered (Levels 1-4) and uncovered (Level 5) spots. The hourly rate is $7, and the maximum daily rate is $30 per day.
• Economy Parking provides the East and West Economy Lots, both situated just beyond Garage East. This is a popular option since it is more affordable than those above, and it is still within walking distance of the terminal. A complimentary shuttle service is also available every 10 minutes. The hourly rate is $6. For up to four days, the daily rate is $18; after that, it will be $16 per day.
• Shuttle Lots are a 10-minute shuttle drive away from the terminal building. There are two parking lots: Mt. Elbert Shuttle Lot and Pikes Peak Shuttle Lot; they have 17,500 parking spaces. Courtesy shuttle buses run every 7-10 minutes. Also, vehicle assistance is available – call (303) 342-4645. There is no hourly rate, and the daily maximum rate is $8.
• The 61st and Peña Lot is the cheapest self-parking option; it is situated on RTD’s University of Colorado A-Line. Courtesy shuttles are not available, but you can use the A-Line commuter rail and reach DEN Airport for $10.50. This is a good choice for long-term parking since the daily cost is only $7. You have to pre-pay your spot here.

Pikes Peak and MT Elbert are great options because they are close, have fast shuttle service, are affordable, and are open 24 hours, seven days per week.

Accessible/Handicapped Parking Lot

Accessible parking is available in each parking facility (except Level 3 of the Garage). They are located in areas nearest the terminal at the garage west and garage east and near the shelters in the economy lots and the shuttle lots. All shuttle vans & buses are lift-equipped.

Disabled Veterans Parking Discount is not available at Denver Int’l Airport.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations DEN Airport offers 36 EV charging locations on Level 1 of the garages and the 61st and Peña Lot. You can use these stations for free, but the standard rates apply.

• If I’m picking up/dropping off someone, is there any cost?

You can use the Cell Phone Lot free of charge. This safe area is located at 7680 N. Wenatchee St., Denver, CO 80249. Alternatively, there is Garage Parking for $7 an hour.

• Is there disabled parking at the airport, and is it free?

Disabled parking spaces are available for ADA and special needs customers in all parking areas. All customers have to own an ADA placard, a disabled license plate, or another similar permit. It is not free of charge.

• How much is Short-Term parking at DEN going to cost?

The hourly rate is $7. Alternatively, you can use Garage Parking for $7 an hour.

No, parking spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but you can make reservations just to make sure you have a secured parking spot in the East or West Garage.

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot

The Cell Phone Waiting Lot (Final Approach) is a free waiting area located 3 miles away from the terminal, on 7680 N. Wenatchee St., Denver, CO 80249. It is a great option for those who want to wait for an arriving passenger since curbside parking is forbidden. There are 253 spaces, free internet access, restaurants, and restrooms.
