Glila is a wonderful woman excellent customer service which I had received from her on my last visit to Sheraton Pentagon city. She was warm and accommodating, and she was helpful to me.
Rooms were clean and big but you have to pay for parking unless you park on the street but no one does and its $32 dollars a day not cheap and few amenities and no swimming pool
I stayed here for one night while I was heading back home from work. Since many of the amenities were closed, I did not experience the hotel offerings to their fullest extent. What I did experience, though, was a clean room with a beautiful view. The hotel staff I encountered while there were helpful and friendly.
I stayed in a Deluxe Guest king bed with city view on the 10th floor. The view is great. The bathtub was broken, however. Whenever I tried showering, the shower head and rub faucet would both pour out water. Other than that, no problems.
Jonathan was great! Service was excellent! Good social distancing singage.. Hand sanitizing stations thought the lobby..
Horrible experience. Paper-thin walls and can hear everything going on in adjacent rooms and hallway, full of youth groups who were excessively loud all night long. Didn’t get any sleep. Add: night two was just as much of a disaster. The seemingly unsupervised minors in the adjacent room checked out only to be replaced by equally obnoxious loud guests who were partying past what I would believe to be quiet time (1145p). The window is so murky, you can’t see out of it. The leadership here lacks the ability to educate and manage guests for quiet hours and respect to other guests in the hotel. Also, many times, cars were parked in the fire lanes at the main entrance without anyone out front to direct traffic. It also appears that they allegedly book rooms to unsupervised minors. There is nothing surrounding the hotel to walk to. The pool has been out of service for about two years as we’ve stayed here a couple of times in that time period - false advertising. We’ll never stay here again. It should receive “poor” ratings for everything. It’s a shame, too, because the woman who checked us in was extremely hospitable. That was the only positive point about the whole stay. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Great experience at Sheraton at Pentagon City! Very accommodating and friendly staff at front desk. Fast check in and good, clean comfortable room. Good buffet breakfast! Special thanks to Giovanna for taking very good care of our large group! We appreciate it!
We decided to hold our wedding at the Sheraton in Pentagon City after considering numerous locations around Northern Virginia. From the moment we signed on we knew we had made the right decision. Karen and the whole staff at the Sheraton were friendly, helpful, and generous with their time and resources. We held both the ceremony and reception for our wedding in the Galaxy Ballroom and the Sheraton staff were able to flip the room in an hour. The space was beautiful and the view was amazing. We were particularly happy with the food prepared for our dinner, which was affordable and high quality. Like any large event, we ran into unexpected issues in the lead up to and day or our wedding, but nothing flustered Karen and her team. We strongly recommend that anyone getting married in the DC area consider holding their wedding at this wonderful hotel.
It's not bad a simple stay in Virginia especially if you are visiting DC. It's got your basic every day needs. And the staff is amazing. I was disappointed that the pool is only open from 5 to 10 pm and is tiny. Also by the lack of windows to look out. You can't get a good skyline view unless you pay for a room with one.
This was my second time at this hotel because the service was so great. I’d highly recommend the hotel and staff. Everyone was accommodating and went above and beyond to get to know you and make the stay perfect. The front desk was great (even a bag or candy for Valentine’s Day), Helen at the lounge was amazing, Jonathan did everything to make the stay special, and Max in the dining room made each dinner superb (the entire breakfast staff, specifically Giovanna was very kind, too). I want to thank everyone at the hotel for a great stay.
The service is amazing at this hotel. The best service I’ve experienced at any hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area. The vie me is amazing, too. 👍
I returned to this hotel and it was a nightmare of construction noises. Why are hotels allowed to charge normal room rates when they are doing renovations?
Close to DCA and Arlington Cemetery--even closer if you hop the the concrete berm. Spacious room, nice size TV, fridge (though not sure if that is in every room). Comfortable business hotel. Rooms facing the highways can be loud. Bring earplugs.
I booked this hotel through my company and have not been disappointed. The staff is Amazing and gave me the BEST service.
I decided to propose to my partner at the Hotel and I MUST say the Staff made me feel so Comfortable as I was nervous as heck. Johnathan (Guest Services Manager) helped me plan the evening, Karen (Social Catering Manager) was so nice and Christian (Food and Beverage Manager) Catered to our food and made us feel like Royalty!! We were greeted by the Assistant General Manager and another Manager as they watched me propose and cheered us on!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for making the proposal so SPECIAL!!
Our room was clean and housekeeping was on point. We had an Amazing view on the 9th floor in a modern room with LOTS of hot water!!!
We were so Impressed with the professionalism, kindness and courteous service we've received we will DEFINITELY be coming back and have decided to have our Wedding at this Hotel for our friends and family to enjoy!!!
Try this hotel you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!
I have stayed here many times. This visit was no different, clean and comfortable. The only issue was room service. Watch out for the fine print is all I have to say. $48 for a burger and wings is a bit high. Fethi at the front desk was a highlight. He was polite, friendly and helpful in answering all my questions.
Super nice room, clean and welcoming. I selected the hotel for the distance to DCA, the price per night, and the shuttle service. Didn’t expect this hotel to be as nice as it is, considering the previous reviews, but it really is. I’ve been in the military over 20 years and have lived all over the world, and this place is nice. Yeah, my room didn’t have a fridge and the location isn’t within walking distance of any amenities, but there’s a restaurant downstairs. Don’t believe the entitled whiners, you can’t beat what you get for the price.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and free shuttle to Metro Station. Unfortunately there are no restaurants or shops around. The food in the restaurant was pricey but that’s no unusual when your paying for convenience. Since we were staying for a week, we requested a fridge and microwave and they were very accommodating and brought them to our room. Overall we will book again.
I stayed here last September. I would not to like to recommend this hotel.
First of all, the accessibility of this hotel is very awful. You can get there only your car or shuttle. There is not anything to go around the hotel (only houses and maybe military camp?). Second, its customer service was not good. After staying this hotel and using a room service, I requested a brief document itemized but eventually the hotel do not provide the document although they replied me to provide it. I gave it up to receive the document.
Its room was not bad but I think there are reasons why the rate is a little cheaper than others around there.
Wonderful! I was supposed to be there for an event that got canceled But since the reservation was non refundable I decided to stay anyway. I'm glad I did! The Room was spacious, the bed was absolutely fantastic, I was able to give myself a spa; face and hair treatment, I ordered Room service, had a bottle of wine and it was absolutely glorious. This hotel is a good place to get away, for a Saturday night my floor [9th) was very quiet.
This motel was once a very beautiful and comfortable hotel. It no longer is. The carpet is showing noticeable wear from many years of hard use. The mattresses are noticeably worn. The thermostat does not work on the heating unit. You either have maximum heat or no heat at all. The frame around the bathroom mirror had been broken and badly reglued. The mini fridge look like it had been drug down the street on a chain. You can do better.
Do yourself a favor and pick ANY other hotel. I am an ambassador at Marriot. Construction at the hotel began at 6am. Loud bangs right above the room. Checked out and tried to get my car out, turns out you need the key to exit, I tried calling the front desk and no answer. I parked my car again and went back up the elevator to the front desk and was told to just press the intercom button. So I went back to the parking garage and hit then intercom button. It rang for 5 minutes before someone finally picked up and let me out. Also requested a receipt in person, and on the app with no luck. Have called 4 times and no answer.
Nice basic hotel that met all my needs on my work trip. The big plus was the shuttle service to & from Reagan National airport and the delicious breakfast buffet. Took off one star because the water temperature in the shower was a bit hard to control.
Overall, nice place. Mattress in room was very hard, pillows were too soft. No fridge or microwave, at least in the room I had. Great views from room overlooking DC. Pool on roof with even better view. Restaurant a little overpriced vs food quality. They charge $10 per day to park in their garage. During busy times, you will wait quite a while for an elevator to the lobby from the 16 floors. Only one elevator down to garage levels. Scheduled to be remodeled late 2019, early 2020.
It is a bittersweet review. I stayed there for my mothers funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. The staff was very nice to us. My father who was handicapped and they got us a bigger room. Sadly I will be returning for my fathers funeral. they are very nice and its a difficult time and kindness its truly appreciated. The view on the capitol is quite spectacular and The Air Force Memorial is close by. Arlington National is close by. Its a nice very clean place to stay and its not expensive.
Great staff, exceptional service, the front desk staff always had big smiles and helped with suggestions on places to visit. There’s a complimentary shuttle to and from the closest mall and metro station. My room had a very comfy bed and extra soft pillows that made each nights slumber very refreshing. The stunning view of DC was the cherry on the pie! The gym and pool are decent too. Highly recommend!
Worthy mention, thanks so much to Stephen and Gelila at the front desk 😊
This 5 star review is specifically for DJ, the waiter. He provided easily some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. So warm, friendly, and patient. We had a big group of people and never did he seem stressed out, or annoyed (which is usually what happens with big groups). He was super attentive and kind. He was the best!
My company ran a conference here. There were caterpillars in my room, dead bugs, and additionally the hotel staff lied about giving me some "reward points" for future stays due to the inconvenience. When I asked to switch my room as the Program Director of the conference, they mentioned the "best they can do" was get my room "cleaned" and could not switch me to another room. After a bit of back and forth and probably realizing I was the Program Director of a conference at the hotel, they "magically" found another room. It seems the "best we can do" response was a clear lie. Would not go back and would not advise to run your conference here.
Nice hotel. A little deceptive. Internet is extra, and so is parking. I was offered half price for parking, but I feel like most guests are offered this. I booked my room from Priceline and I thought I got a great deal at a nice hotel, but turns out this hotel has two sections. There's the main hotel and then there a small separate building that has the lower tiered rooms. The separate building directly faces the main entrance of the hotel. Once you step in, you immediately feel like you entered a cheap motel with a faint funky smell. Granted, you still get all the amenities you'd have in the main building. The room I got was in that small separate building. It's a little dingy, and smelled a little funny. In general, this is a nice hotel, but just keep in mind that if the price looks too good, you're probably in that side building.
Got to the hotel super early but they allowed me to check in early. Staff was super friendly and made sure I was accommodated.
The room was great. It was very spacious and clean. The beds were also very comfortable. I would say the rugs look a little outdated but the room was amazing. I will stay here again if I am in the area!
