Absolutely amazing hotel a few miles from downtown DC. Convenient parking in its own dedicated garage on property, directly off the highway and with beautiful views of downtown from the rooms. We could see the Capital building lit up at night. Gorgeous lobby and clean, modern rooms. On site gift shop and restaurant, as well. Very nice price for a very nice hotel. Highly recommended.
I have stayed at this hotel twice. Once about three years ago and once over the summer of 2021. Wow what a decline in service and upkeep. It is kind of like the Cecil hotel at this point. Bound for great things, but it just falls short.
Front desk are not even remotely friendly. I was literally charged the wrong amount for a deposit (2x what it should have been) and a series of mishaps with service and housekeeping. Including being asked to come to the front desk at 11 at night so they could “swipe my card” to extend my stay (not because I was having such a good time). I was generously offered nearly 200$ In restaurant credits because being overcharged. I declined because there was nothing I could eat from their restaurant and I asked for points instead…that never happened either 🙄🤷♀️
I reached out to the manager who took over a month to get back to me and never resolved the situation.
TLDR: it’s cheap for a reason. Spend the extra money to stay somewhere nicer so you won’t be kicking yourself for getting stuck here
we came for a 3 days wedding. Service was terrible. no one came to cleaned our room. the whole 3 days our room was uncleaned. I called front desk everyday and all they told me someone will be there shortly. But no one came. It was a very terrible experience at Sheraton pentagon hotel. I will never stay here again.
Decent staff and rooms but Beatriz who works in the restaurant was amazing! I stayed here every week in August and she was consistently an excellent employee for this Sheraton. Very welcoming, friendly and great at her job! Would definitely stay here again just for her!
There are not enough words to describe how amazing my stay was. My significant other and I only stayed for one night, but it was definitely a stay to remember. This is because Miles and Marcus at the front desk were very hospitable and relatable! They took amazing care of us and make sure we had everything we need! Big shout out to them! Will definitely be coming back again!
I decided to stay at this hotel for my birthday weekend, it was convenient to the highway and all the surrounding shops! The gentleman on 3rd shift made the stay well worth it. He was always smiling and willing to go the extra mile to make sure our trip was enjoyable! Well Done 🤍
My family and I stayed 3 nights and I was delighted, no smoking rooms, no noise allowed in the other rooms, the ac worked very well, not noisy, very clean and disinfected the room. The Hotel is very well centralized just 6 minutes from the national mall and close to many places to eat. Parking only 10$ per night and only 50$ for incidental fee. I would stay the next time I return to Washington. Super recommended.!!!!
The pool was closed even though the website site said it was open, the only food we could get was overpriced and had bad service, the only drinks available that were non alcoholic was mountain dew and Pepsi and water, the wine was 13 dollars in a PLASTIC cup and it came in a can that you had to pour yourself. It was five stars but it deserves 1 star. The restaurant was rated highly but there is none just a angry man who takes an hour to make your food

Great location across from DC. Great views. Nice rooms. Only con is the pool and observation deck were closed. We were hoping to watch fireworks from the rooftop terrace. The front desk (Marcus) is very friendly and helpful.
Was very disappointed. Not knowing the pool was closed. The reason why I booked the hotel. Checked in at 3. Took my bags up to the room and changed into bathing suits and went up to the pool area only to be let down. Immediately went to front desk to check out and checked out at 4. I received no refund. Nowhere on the site did they mention the pool was not operational.
My family and I stopped by for a night on our way to the beach. Great staff. We loved Markus, he's the best! Excellent view. Nice, clean rooms and the hotel restaurant food was really did.
Daniel is the reason our stay was fantastic. He is dressed to impress. He has the nicest personality and he went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. 10/10
On September 2, 2017, my husband and I got married in Alexandria. The wedding day was fun and amazing and exhausting. My husband had painstakingly done research ahead of time to select the perfect hotel room for our wedding night and happened to choose a room at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel. He is usually very frugal, but for such a special occasion as this, decided to pay extra for the King bed room with a capitol view. What a marvelous way to cap our big day!
It was nearing 10 PM when we finally dragged ourselves to the hotel. My feet hurt, I was still in my wedding gown, and we were both ready to pass out after the day's excitement. We walked to the front desk to claim our room, which my husband had had reserved for weeks.
The clerk told us the room was no longer available and tried to get us into a room with two Queen beds and no capitol view. I could not believe it. We had made a reservation and the hotel staff had not honored it. Despite the reservation, our room was given to someone else, and on our wedding night of all nights. To say I was appalled would be an understatement. We were treated rudely and without any sympathy. We were transferred to a hotel 15 minutes away called Hotel Alexandrian on George Wash Memorial Pkwy where we received exquisite treatment.
I was so disappointed in the staff at the Sheraton. Nowhere did it say in the booking details that our reservation could be forfeit after a certain time. I have worked in a hotel - someone behind the Sheraton desk made a bad call that resulted in loss of our service.
Best deal in DC. 5 minute shuttle ride to the metro. Beautiful old hotel that's newly remodeled. 65 inch 4k TV. Highly recommend.
Ashley, at the front desk was very welcoming, the food ( breakfast) was fulfilling, the room and view were awesome overlooking DC. Garage and elevators are in need of cleaning but my car didn't complain nor did my tired legs after two full days of taking in the sites. The proximity to the military bases near Arlington cemetery were very welcoming. Overall a very enjoyable stay and experience. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was very nice and right off of Columbia pike so easy access to the highway. We picked the hotel because we had to bring our dog with us on this getaway. I called the hotel 3x to confirm the price for our dog,$50. Not per night. $50 was the flat fee. Our first night we got a $100 charge for the dog when we called to confirm the front person was rude. She was curt with my guy about the cost stating that it was a $50 fee plus a $50 hold. We didn’t have an issue with the price we just wanted clarification. I think they should just be more upfront when people call to confirm.
The pictures of the room are better thank in person. We had to kill 2 roaches 🪳 and they didn’t even offer a discount. The front desk needs more personality. He never greeted us by Mr. or Mrs.
Do not recommend this place
Very basic room - but very nice. The hotel is beautiful on the inside with its grand ballrooms and foyers.
Older place but clean and super friendly staff. Erika at night check in was wonderful as was the breakfast counter lady.
Angel is the best employee she went above and beyond for us all 3 nights I was there. There was an issue with a3rd party billing me twice she helped me take care of it. I cannot say what would've happened without her. I had to stay an extra night and she stepped up and helped me. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends colleagues and family. I'm a customer for life. Margarer Auffert
Very clean and nice. Front desk personnel have been very helpful and polite, what you would expect from any type of service.
The rooms were extraordinarily clean, the staff was overwhelmingly helpful, the food was pretty darn good and the view of DC was remarkable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in DC.
Staying four night. So far I'm glad we went for this hotel. Location is pretty convenient. We have an amazing view of D.C. Super friendly and attentive staff in the lobby. The hotel is pretty nice. On another note, Swimming pool is close. Gym is open. Appointment required.
This place was without water for first couple hours but all was good after that. Its a beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, and large rooms. We ate in the hotel and so happy they were open until 11 as our flight was late and very hungry. The burgers are awesome!!
This hotel is a great alternative to staying right in the pricier Pentagon City hotels across the parkway. The hotel is a little dated, but the service staff and the hotel room views overlooking the capital area are amazing and well worth it (as is the room rate which proved to be about half of the price of the Pentagon City hotels). The hotel is quiet and the rooms (as well as the hotel in general) is really clean and well furnished. Most importantly, I slept very well without any disturbances. The one issue I did notice is that on the first morning I woke up with freezing cold water and no shampoo – guessing that was a fluke because it did not happen again. Parking is currently $10 /night.
Great Hotel! I had no problem with it! Rooms were clean, beautiful lobby, and free airport shuttle.
I really enjoyed my stay. The only issue I had was the breakfast. I was expecting to have turkey sausage for breakfast all they had was turkey lunch meat. That was unacceptable for the price of the food.
The best thing was the great food in the Bristol...great chief, best burger I ever had and the fries and tater totes we correctly cooked. Unluckily they did not have Coke products, only Pepsi. All the vending machines were empty, the pool was closed and they charged an extra $10 per day to park!
I went there last weekend I really like the hotel and the staff service the rooms were nice and clean cause of COVID the make sure everything are clean and there’s a lady working in the front desk her name is galila I really appreciate her and her cooperation
This is quiet but dated. Lobby and dinning hall is look good.
This place was very nice, and the night lady Erica was great. But the morning lady was rude, when we extended she forgot to reactivate our room keys for the room, fitness center and the parking. We did not have hot water for multiple days and when we called they did not answer one day so the morning lady was rude and did not believe us. And the only reason why we didn't change rooms was because we did not intend to extend. Then when we were checking out the morning lady and the manager were making rude comments about our situation. It was a great time...
It's a dated hotel but it is super Quite place great for sleeping in.
We love this hotel! It’s close to DC, affordable, and has great views.
Great motel and the rooms are very nice and the hotel service offers a variety of information about the area
Glila is a wonderful woman excellent customer service which I had received from her on my last visit to Sheraton Pentagon city. She was warm and accommodating, and she was helpful to me.
Rooms were clean and big but you have to pay for parking unless you park on the street but no one does and its $32 dollars a day not cheap and few amenities and no swimming pool
It's always a pleasure to stay at this property. Even in light of the current situation they do all they can to make your stay as good as they are allowed to.
I stayed here for one night while I was heading back home from work. Since many of the amenities were closed, I did not experience the hotel offerings to their fullest extent. What I did experience, though, was a clean room with a beautiful view. The hotel staff I encountered while there were helpful and friendly.
I stayed in a Deluxe Guest king bed with city view on the 10th floor. The view is great. The bathtub was broken, however. Whenever I tried showering, the shower head and rub faucet would both pour out water. Other than that, no problems.
Jonathan was great! Service was excellent! Good social distancing singage.. Hand sanitizing stations thought the lobby..
Horrible experience. Paper-thin walls and can hear everything going on in adjacent rooms and hallway, full of youth groups who were excessively loud all night long. Didn’t get any sleep. Add: night two was just as much of a disaster. The seemingly unsupervised minors in the adjacent room checked out only to be replaced by equally obnoxious loud guests who were partying past what I would believe to be quiet time (1145p). The window is so murky, you can’t see out of it. The leadership here lacks the ability to educate and manage guests for quiet hours and respect to other guests in the hotel. Also, many times, cars were parked in the fire lanes at the main entrance without anyone out front to direct traffic. It also appears that they allegedly book rooms to unsupervised minors. There is nothing surrounding the hotel to walk to. The pool has been out of service for about two years as we’ve stayed here a couple of times in that time period - false advertising. We’ll never stay here again. It should receive “poor” ratings for everything. It’s a shame, too, because the woman who checked us in was extremely hospitable. That was the only positive point about the whole stay. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Great experience at Sheraton at Pentagon City! Very accommodating and friendly staff at front desk. Fast check in and good, clean comfortable room. Good buffet breakfast! Special thanks to Giovanna for taking very good care of our large group! We appreciate it!

We decided to hold our wedding at the Sheraton in Pentagon City after considering numerous locations around Northern Virginia. From the moment we signed on we knew we had made the right decision. Karen and the whole staff at the Sheraton were friendly, helpful, and generous with their time and resources. We held both the ceremony and reception for our wedding in the Galaxy Ballroom and the Sheraton staff were able to flip the room in an hour. The space was beautiful and the view was amazing. We were particularly happy with the food prepared for our dinner, which was affordable and high quality. Like any large event, we ran into unexpected issues in the lead up to and day or our wedding, but nothing flustered Karen and her team. We strongly recommend that anyone getting married in the DC area consider holding their wedding at this wonderful hotel.
It's not bad a simple stay in Virginia especially if you are visiting DC. It's got your basic every day needs. And the staff is amazing. I was disappointed that the pool is only open from 5 to 10 pm and is tiny. Also by the lack of windows to look out. You can't get a good skyline view unless you pay for a room with one.
This was my second time at this hotel because the service was so great. I’d highly recommend the hotel and staff. Everyone was accommodating and went above and beyond to get to know you and make the stay perfect. The front desk was great (even a bag or candy for Valentine’s Day), Helen at the lounge was amazing, Jonathan did everything to make the stay special, and Max in the dining room made each dinner superb (the entire breakfast staff, specifically Giovanna was very kind, too). I want to thank everyone at the hotel for a great stay.
The service is amazing at this hotel. The best service I’ve experienced at any hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area. The vie me is amazing, too. 👍
Last time I was here I stayed they the rooms needed updated well guess what i got my wish the rooms are updated. The rooms are very nice I’ll be back . There’s one thing I would change. It’s the frontdesk hey need help
I returned to this hotel and it was a nightmare of construction noises. Why are hotels allowed to charge normal room rates when they are doing renovations?
Close to DCA and Arlington Cemetery--even closer if you hop the the concrete berm. Spacious room, nice size TV, fridge (though not sure if that is in every room). Comfortable business hotel. Rooms facing the highways can be loud. Bring earplugs.
I booked this hotel through my company and have not been disappointed. The staff is Amazing and gave me the BEST service.
I decided to propose to my partner at the Hotel and I MUST say the Staff made me feel so Comfortable as I was nervous as heck. Johnathan (Guest Services Manager) helped me plan the evening, Karen (Social Catering Manager) was so nice and Christian (Food and Beverage Manager) Catered to our food and made us feel like Royalty!! We were greeted by the Assistant General Manager and another Manager as they watched me propose and cheered us on!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for making the proposal so SPECIAL!!
Our room was clean and housekeeping was on point. We had an Amazing view on the 9th floor in a modern room with LOTS of hot water!!!
We were so Impressed with the professionalism, kindness and courteous service we've received we will DEFINITELY be coming back and have decided to have our Wedding at this Hotel for our friends and family to enjoy!!!
Try this hotel you WILL NOT be disappointed!!!
I have stayed here many times. This visit was no different, clean and comfortable. The only issue was room service. Watch out for the fine print is all I have to say. $48 for a burger and wings is a bit high. Fethi at the front desk was a highlight. He was polite, friendly and helpful in answering all my questions.
Super nice room, clean and welcoming. I selected the hotel for the distance to DCA, the price per night, and the shuttle service. Didn’t expect this hotel to be as nice as it is, considering the previous reviews, but it really is. I’ve been in the military over 20 years and have lived all over the world, and this place is nice. Yeah, my room didn’t have a fridge and the location isn’t within walking distance of any amenities, but there’s a restaurant downstairs. Don’t believe the entitled whiners, you can’t beat what you get for the price.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and free shuttle to Metro Station. Unfortunately there are no restaurants or shops around. The food in the restaurant was pricey but that’s no unusual when your paying for convenience. Since we were staying for a week, we requested a fridge and microwave and they were very accommodating and brought them to our room. Overall we will book again.
I stayed here last September. I would not to like to recommend this hotel.
First of all, the accessibility of this hotel is very awful. You can get there only your car or shuttle. There is not anything to go around the hotel (only houses and maybe military camp?). Second, its customer service was not good. After staying this hotel and using a room service, I requested a brief document itemized but eventually the hotel do not provide the document although they replied me to provide it. I gave it up to receive the document.
Its room was not bad but I think there are reasons why the rate is a little cheaper than others around there.
Wonderful! I was supposed to be there for an event that got canceled But since the reservation was non refundable I decided to stay anyway. I'm glad I did! The Room was spacious, the bed was absolutely fantastic, I was able to give myself a spa; face and hair treatment, I ordered Room service, had a bottle of wine and it was absolutely glorious. This hotel is a good place to get away, for a Saturday night my floor [9th) was very quiet.
This motel was once a very beautiful and comfortable hotel. It no longer is. The carpet is showing noticeable wear from many years of hard use. The mattresses are noticeably worn. The thermostat does not work on the heating unit. You either have maximum heat or no heat at all. The frame around the bathroom mirror had been broken and badly reglued. The mini fridge look like it had been drug down the street on a chain. You can do better.
Do yourself a favor and pick ANY other hotel. I am an ambassador at Marriot. Construction at the hotel began at 6am. Loud bangs right above the room. Checked out and tried to get my car out, turns out you need the key to exit, I tried calling the front desk and no answer. I parked my car again and went back up the elevator to the front desk and was told to just press the intercom button. So I went back to the parking garage and hit then intercom button. It rang for 5 minutes before someone finally picked up and let me out. Also requested a receipt in person, and on the app with no luck. Have called 4 times and no answer.
Nice basic hotel that met all my needs on my work trip. The big plus was the shuttle service to & from Reagan National airport and the delicious breakfast buffet. Took off one star because the water temperature in the shower was a bit hard to control.
Overall, nice place. Mattress in room was very hard, pillows were too soft. No fridge or microwave, at least in the room I had. Great views from room overlooking DC. Pool on roof with even better view. Restaurant a little overpriced vs food quality. They charge $10 per day to park in their garage. During busy times, you will wait quite a while for an elevator to the lobby from the 16 floors. Only one elevator down to garage levels. Scheduled to be remodeled late 2019, early 2020.
It is a bittersweet review. I stayed there for my mothers funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. The staff was very nice to us. My father who was handicapped and they got us a bigger room. Sadly I will be returning for my fathers funeral. they are very nice and its a difficult time and kindness its truly appreciated. The view on the capitol is quite spectacular and The Air Force Memorial is close by. Arlington National is close by. Its a nice very clean place to stay and its not expensive.
Great staff, exceptional service, the front desk staff always had big smiles and helped with suggestions on places to visit. There’s a complimentary shuttle to and from the closest mall and metro station. My room had a very comfy bed and extra soft pillows that made each nights slumber very refreshing. The stunning view of DC was the cherry on the pie! The gym and pool are decent too. Highly recommend!
Worthy mention, thanks so much to Stephen and Gelila at the front desk 😊
This 5 star review is specifically for DJ, the waiter. He provided easily some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. So warm, friendly, and patient. We had a big group of people and never did he seem stressed out, or annoyed (which is usually what happens with big groups). He was super attentive and kind. He was the best!
My company ran a conference here. There were caterpillars in my room, dead bugs, and additionally the hotel staff lied about giving me some "reward points" for future stays due to the inconvenience. When I asked to switch my room as the Program Director of the conference, they mentioned the "best they can do" was get my room "cleaned" and could not switch me to another room. After a bit of back and forth and probably realizing I was the Program Director of a conference at the hotel, they "magically" found another room. It seems the "best we can do" response was a clear lie. Would not go back and would not advise to run your conference here.
Nice hotel. A little deceptive. Internet is extra, and so is parking. I was offered half price for parking, but I feel like most guests are offered this. I booked my room from Priceline and I thought I got a great deal at a nice hotel, but turns out this hotel has two sections. There's the main hotel and then there a small separate building that has the lower tiered rooms. The separate building directly faces the main entrance of the hotel. Once you step in, you immediately feel like you entered a cheap motel with a faint funky smell. Granted, you still get all the amenities you'd have in the main building. The room I got was in that small separate building. It's a little dingy, and smelled a little funny. In general, this is a nice hotel, but just keep in mind that if the price looks too good, you're probably in that side building.
Got to the hotel super early but they allowed me to check in early. Staff was super friendly and made sure I was accommodated.
The room was great. It was very spacious and clean. The beds were also very comfortable. I would say the rugs look a little outdated but the room was amazing. I will stay here again if I am in the area!
