Hilton is still charging the full rate for rooms, but half the amenities are missing because of absurd "covid 19 measures.". The bar is closed. The restaurant is closed. The ice machines are shut down. There is no house keeping service unless you make a special request. (No one tells you until you find out the hard way.) Overall, a less than satisfactory experience. The shuttle service was good!
The Hilton Crystal city is really in an airport hotel oasis. It is very close to DCA airport so very convenient from perspective. The downside you are in a building canyon with very little to do unless you want to catch a Metro to downtown or perhaps Old Town. The Hilton Crystal city feels dated with heavy furniture. But it was comfortable and had a very reasonable rate (I can not vouch for the parking cost).
Absolutely the best service and nicest people thank u for all u did for my family and his Club Brothers as we brought my husband to his resting place in Arlington.
Great staff, clean rooms. I couldn't use a desktop computer in their business lounge - only wifi throughout the building. Parking is $35 a day.
We needed to have a small gathering of family for an inurnment of two loved ones at Arlington National Cemetery. First order of business was identifying accommodations. When I called, I asked for group sales and was greeted by Karen. Polite and professional, and interested in making our stay as easy as possible. She did a great job. This was out first stay outside of our home since the start of COVID. I would say that the Hilton is taking this very seriously: hand wash stations everywhere, all employees were wearing masks even outside, etc. While this is an older hotel in their chain with smaller rooms, we were still comfortable. Karen also provided us a two page list of restaurants all within a 2-3 block walk. Checkin and checkout was easy. Thank you Hilton staff and Karen.
Hotel is very dated. Heating and air conditioning is under the window which is usually only in cheaper hotels. Heat and air conditioning is very noisy. TVs are very old and small. Furniture is old. The only upside is the staff .
Very close to all the sights in DC.
Friendly staff and clean and quiet room.
Very clean and nice professional service
Door lock batteries were dead, thermostat batteries were dead, and the TV didn’t work. Felt very dated compared to other places in the area. Room was clean and employees were all friendly, though.
Everyone in this hotel is top notch.Dave was so helpful to our group ; VOCALIZE. The bed was comfortable and the meeting space was amazing. Thank you so much!!
1. Clean rooms
2. Location near to airport
3. Nice amenities like pool and fitness center
4. Nice hospitality
AC/Heater was very loud. There was a leak from the ceiling in the bathroom on the day we were checking out. Staff were nice and helpful.
This is a wonderful hotel. Clean, restaurant in the hotel also. If you are a gold or diamond member, even better as they have a executive lounge and serve free breakfast in it every morning. A wonderful experience, highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again!
The hotel is very nice.
However the customer service is horrible . I asked a Hispanic guy of they had a list of local business restaurant and said no. In a ride way he was use Google if you want to know what is around. Really?
I love Hilton's but will not recommend it. Hilton Gardens is nice is like a block away from it their customer service is great.
The staff is very friendly. Especially in the executive lounge where they have $3 beer and wine. great food at the happy hour. Walking distance to many restaurnts.
Pretty good, but not great. Ottoman in my room is ripped. Mirror frame has a big chip. There are holes in the bath tile that are poorly filled. The hot water stopped working at one point too.
The people are very nice. And the executive lounge is top notch. (Not sure why they charge fir drinks during the evening reception though.)
All I all, it’s fine but not up to Hilton brand standard. And not for this price.
Overall decent place. Clean rooms good service. Excellent breakfast. Unfortunately they had a lot of secret charges and parking was not only absurdly expensive when it should have been free for customers and they also dont warn you ahead of time.
Front desk staff very nice! Room is clean and appointed nicely. Great location if flying into or out of National!
Stayed here over the Veterans Day weekend. The room was comfortable, as you’d expect from a Hilton. However, the breakfast situation over the weekend was not pleasant. The food was cold and not replenished frequently enough, the servers regularly forgot drink orders and didn’t welcome anyone when they came in (which also meant there was a long line of people waiting to be sat and no one acknowledged it). This happened both days we were there.
Also, while waiting for the hotel shuttle at the airport, we tried calling the number for the hotel numerous times and it rang and rang and no one picked up.
Quite old building, in desperate need of an update. the bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft. Someone else in our party's room did not have hot water in the morning.
Excellent service. Cory at the front desk did a fantastic job. Well done, thanks again.
Nice hotel...but..bellman talking to other employees so had to unload own luggage ! Cost Hilton some goodwill and a nice tip for the bellman..
Clean, modern, and well kept hotel. Staff was nice and I loved all the amenities they offered. Starbucks located inside which is always a plus
Not really a four star hotel. Room is small. Desk is full of dust. Front desk staff are cold. Toilet in my room is almost clogged. Restroom near the meeting rooms is dirty and smells as bad as airport restrooms. The hotel overall is old. Not worth the money ($200+). Really not much better than a typical two star hotel. Might be the worst Hilton I've been to. The location is good but there are other hotels nearby at the same price range such as Marriott.
I had a wonderful experience with this Hilton. The staff were friendly, food was good, shuttle to airport was convenient. It’s just a short walk to the Metro and I used a three day pass to get everywhere!
I didn't stay here. My wife was going to stay with a Christian Tour for three days. She passed away on Sunday and the tour left Newton, N.C. on Thursday. Christian Tours refunded me all, but the hotel penalty. It was $219! I heard all kind of reason for the penalty, but none make any difference. It is their so called policy on cancellation. Only trouble my wife didn't cancel, she died. I'll remember this till my last breath here on earth. You get the shaft here it is their policy. Reviews won't exit without giving one star!
Stayed here for the last two weeks for work. Overall stay was great, executive lounge helped me save food $$, maid staff was super helpful. The receptionist Timicha definitely was the highlight of the stay. Super friendly and helpful from the time I confirmed my room prior to arriving, to checkin and throughout the stay. She is likely the best receptionist I have interacted with while traveling, hands down.
I was Walking down the street and crossing at a crosswalk when their Hilton shuttle blew through the cross walk and I had to jump out of the way read when I called the hotel they apologized and said they will give me 10000 points as a Hilton member. They never called me back or gave me the points. When I arrived at the hotel because I work in the same neighborhood, they told me the bus couldn't have been bears because it was at the airport but couldn't tell me what time I had told them the bus had almost hit me. I've been called the corporate office who simply told me I should go to every Hilton in Crystal City Virginia to find out who's bus it was.
Definitely avoid this hotel. Only one elevator was working and it took 20 minutes to get to the lobby. The crowd of people on it were desperate to get off. Half the light bulbs in our dated room were burned out. The beds are uncomfortable and hot water seems to be scarce. I'm guessing the owners are cheap as they are charging for tiny glasses of wine and beer in the executive lounge. They also will not let you take any drinks out of the lounge like bottles of water or soda. This place is just bad.
Not the place they make it out to be, or what we expect from a Hilton. Mattress sags, AC sounds like a lawn mower, $35/parking is same price for non guests. They want you to reuse bath towels, but only one towel hook.
Most electric outlets are so worn out, that I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. I've stayed in more comfortable budget motels. Not worth $200/night.
