Front desk staff and the sweet folks at the bar are forst-rate. Ravi, who was at the coffee bar every morning, was particularly kind and professional. The gym is probably the best hotel gym I've been seen; a half dozen treadmills, some free weights, a half dozen bikes of various types, 4 cross trainers, some weight machines, a yoga room with balls, a barre, yoga mats, kettlebell, etc. Really very well equipped.

Only negative thing was the housekeeping was a bit wierd. The rooms are big, clean, well appointed and comfortable, but the staff kept rearranging my stuff - things on counters were moved nearly every day, and once something in one room was moved to another. Two days running I didn't get hand towels, although they were delivered right away when I did asked. Nothing big, but definitely unexpected.

Overall, I'd stay here again.

My husband and I had to unexpectedly stay at the Sheraton Hotel while we wait for repairs to our condo to be done. I have worked in the hospitality industry for years. I will say I believe this location is short staff. Seeing the staff work morning and night trying to make accommodations for guests under the demands is very impressive. The all have executed hospitality very well. They all have continued to keep their composure and patience when busy. I know it can be very overwhelming at times. I think all of the staff here are very personable and do an amazing job. I hope they all are rewarded for their hard work. Its hard to find good help and they all are it!

Love it there!!! My wife works for a resort where we stay, and she liked it just as much as i did. We got there early, and they were able to check in. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The location is perfect, especially if you don't want to stay at the harbor but want to be close to it. There is a harris teeter on the next block. The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean. We will definitely be back to visit.

Surely another wonderful hotel by Marriott. It’s recently renovated so it’s feels like a brand new hotel. The day time staffs were very friendly and nice. Day time was not so much though, I had to beg for his attention as he was too focused on his phone the whole time.

Over all, I always enjoy staying at Marriott, and Sheraton is one of my favorite brands. Thanks to the day time staffs to make our stay special.

The staff were very friendly. The driver for the shuttle service was very bad. The shuttle was to be there at 7. At 7:15, the shuttle did not even stop at pickup. He slowed down, I waved and ran after him, and he kept going. I called the hotel back, and they said they would contact them. When he came back, he yelled at me, asking if I was the one who called and complained. I told him yes because he didn't stop. He argued and yelled about his job the whole way to the hotel

That ride was very uncomfortable with him yelling. Even the people around me said he didn't even stop.

Remember to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your place. They compare thousands of booking web sites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't be let down.

The lady that waited on us was very kind and professional and very helpful. Everything was great!. The only things i didn't like is that you have to pay for parking in the hotel garage. And you also have to pay for breakfast. The room was very nice and clean.

Pros: It was clean and comfy, cozy. We had a king bed and sofa bed suit for 5 members, 2 adults and 3 kids. The bedroom had enough space to put a playpen for our 1 year old. The sofa bed is queen size, but our 2 kids 8 and 11 yo lay across it with no prob. Nice location with many restaurants, walkable and safe. Room was affordable. There's a little fridge and Keurig.

Cones: Literally nothing is included. No microwave. Even water bottle was 8$ Breakfast 17$ per person, parking 32$ per night. You can order dinner in the room till 11 pm, and breakfast till 11 am, or you can go downstairs and there's a buffet, where they serve you food. Food is very basic and overpriced, not worth it.

I've been here 5 or 6 times. Hotel was clean, staff are courteous which is expected of a Sheraton.

My only complaint is the shuttle is only hourly for a 10 minute drive, would be much nicer if it just ran continuously so it was every half hour. I

Always clean, and good value for the money. T. G. Stones is a good place to eat. Great beer selection and great food.

It was a quick stay (one night). Comfortable bed, cable, and fruits and chocolate as treats in the room. The reason I docked some stars is that the sink drain was stuck, which was inconvenient, and in the morning, I needed to prove that I had booked with breakfast included to get my voucher due to some glitch in their system. Other than that, it’s a nice place in a nice neighborhood.

This hotel has had a major facelift during the pandemic and feels crisp, clean and modern. On top of that they provide old fashioned personal service like chef cooked breakfast. When a teddy bear was left in a room by checked out guests (double entendre?) housekeeping scoured the room and produced the precious item to this grandmother's relief. Management couldn't have been more helpful. Many thanks, my large family will be back

Renovated rooms are great, bathroom is beautiful and the new furniture fits. Only thing is the walls are slightly thin and I could hear the hallway conversation or TV from the neighbor. Not too bad other than that

Great view from my room, on the 9th floor. I can see the Capital Building and other government landmarks. I am also in the older part of town with a lot of shops and boutiques.

Great location, food and friendly staff! There is a beautiful courtyard perfect to relax or host a beautiful event. 2nd floor gym is huge and has an outdoor seating area. Walkable to everything in old town and easy to hop on the Dash bus to the metro line.

Hands down the best service in Old Town Alexandria. The entire staff were very helpful and super friendly and just made me feel like I was at home. Out of the staff members, Yvette was super friendly and always had a smile on her face and aided me in every possible way. The rooms smell a bit musty but other than that, great location, staff, and breakfast.

Lots of guests have reviewed the convenient pull up and parking garage, courteous staff and the beautiful rooms, so I’ll focus on one of my passions: the fitness center.

Simply put, the second floor fitness center is the largest and most well-equipped I have ever experienced in any hotel anywhere: multiples of all your favorite cardio machines, plus a healthy dose of weight machines and dumbbells, plus 3 separate yoga/stretch rooms and plenty of floor area. If your fitness routine is important to you, this fitness room all by itself would be a reason to stay here over other hotels. See my pics.

I parked my car in the garage. It was affordable and safe. I wish they had 24 hours airport shuttle service. Staff was pleasant and professional. Facilities was clean and quiet.

The hotel is conveniently located in Old Town, 8 blocks from the active King Street area. The suite was cozy, not large, but two rooms, updated with 2 large TV's, a refrigerator and a good bathroom that met the needs of the two of us. It was quiet. There's a convenient bistro/coffee shop downstairs. And the rate was exactly as advertised, no hidden charges, a very good value for Old Town

The staff are doing a good job trying to do their best in this pandemic. The hotel is well maintained. It is a shame the restaurant is closed but a very nice place.

I stay at the Sheraton Suites, Old Town Alexandria, every quarter, and it gets better every time. I have nothing but wonderful experiences with everyone I deal with. Here is one in particular that I posted on social media regarding one of the managers, Camille:

And she thought no one was watching … Sheraton Suites guest, acting in a way uncalled for. Receptionist kind, patient and professional. Went over to complement her after, and she actually said to me, “I’m sorry you had to witness that.” She really cares! Tracked down an email address for the “manager” the next day off and guess what? It was her, the manager, I witnessed. Thank you for demonstrating what true customer service is Camille, and thank you for the special keychain, but it is YOU who made the difference!

Clean, newly renovated, wonderful staff. Microwave would have been appreciated. There is no place to sit—-one metal back chair and sofa seat is so deep no normal adult can sit on it. Cushions or throw pillows would help. We each had to put two bed pillows behind our backs and we are not short (5’11”)

Treated my mom to a weekend in Old Town Alexandria for Mother's Day. We had a great time the hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and our room was very spacious and reasonably priced. I think it may have cost me around $250 for the entire weekend. We had a two-bed suite with a living room in an amazing couch and 2 TV's along with all the standard hotel stuff. I actually ended up sleeping on the couch because it was so comfortable. My mom says the bed was comfortable too lol. My only gripe was that the elevator from the parking garage to the hotel was out of service the entire weekend.

We were pleasantly surprised with this beautiful hotel. It was clean, modern, quiet, in a pretty good location, and the beds were super comfy. The best part was it was pet friendly and dogs stay free! They have a parking garage right next door (for an extra $30/night) and aside from the elevator being out of service, it was very convenient - we used our key card to come and go as we pleased. The staff was nice, and even though the restaurant was being renovated during our stay and we could not take advantage, we had a really pleasant stay. Our dogs loved it too! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would definitely return again!

Beautiful guestrooms, super clean, excellent staff the only drawback is the elevator shakes you for 45 seconds before it drops you off

Recently upgraded interior. Rooms were well done. They are still in the process of finishing some things up on the outside but nothing too early to disturb folks.

Upon arrival, Joseph E at the front desk was a huge help! Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

Will definitely be staying again when in the area.

Had the best stay for work here this week, front desk was extremely helpful and went above and beyond at every interaction. Great location across from Hanks Oyster Bar, TJs and Oak Steakhouse. Think I found my new home away from home in Old Town.

The room was great. The in room soaps are scented for men. They smell great, but ladies beware. The bedding was very thin. The pull out bedding looked questionable and was not used.

Not really great for children. There was nothing in the hotel for them. There is not a pool or a hot tub. Definitely geared towards adults.

Staff was friendly. Parking was standard. Location was fantastic for what we were there for.

Easy check in and out. Room was fantastic. Room service menu showed cheaper prices than what was charged, so that was a bit frustrating. But all around great stay.

My family stayed at the suites, and they have only positive experience. The rooms were spacious and clean. The inside of the hotel, a little patio was romantic and cute. The hotel is in the heart of Alexandria, so it's close to everything you might need from supermarkets, bars, restaurants, and river.

A welcoming front lobby with complimentary flavored water or tea was especially refreshing after a long drive. Parking was safe along the road and saved us $32 a night. Staff was friendly and our suite was immaculate and stylish. We’ve stayed here on 2 separate visits and are very pleased with Sheraton’s hospitality.

I'm so happy I chose to stay here. The front desk/management staff has been fantastic and so friendly. Ridhi from front desk is awesome and help me faster and more efficiently than any 5-star luxury hotel ever could. The hotel was nice and quiet. Only thing to speed up is the construction going on

The rooms are newly renovated, lovely and clean and very comfortable -- especially the beds! Location is also perfect -- very close to the beautiful stretch of riverfront parks, I took my elderly crippled dog there by stroller multiple times daily. We are eager to return again, and will definitely stay at this hotel, it's our clear favorite in Alexandria.

I started this review off at 4 stars, due to some things that are annoying on arrivall: First of all, they have a beautiful giant fitness room that is 100% closed "due to covid". I don't understand why this is still the case; most other hotels (including ones in the area) have, by now, either opened them up with mask and occupancy restrictions, or via a reservations system. Parking is both expensive and nightmarish: the garage is a confusing maze of extremely tiny spots, and costs $32/night -- higher than in most cities -- whereas monthly parking when I lived there recently was $90/month, cheaper than in most cities. (That said, I was still glad to have the option, and took it). And since the renovation is so recent, there are a few glitches, eg coffee makers and fridges not working. So I started off a bit annoyed, but my dog and I ended up having one of the loveliest long weekends of our lives. Desk staff is also very friendly and helpful, and it was nice that they had some food for sale in the lobby both morning and evening. So it's about 4.5 stars, but I'd call it 5 stars if they opened the gym and made sure all the room appliances were working, which will hopefully be the case soon.

SSOTA rocks customer service for group bookings!

Had a last minute situation in which I had seven of our Dept of Defense federal employees suddenly needing rooms for anywhere from one to two weeks. Reached out to Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria and their Director for Sales & Marketing, Karen Regen-Baum, worked closely with me to make that happen. Her willingness to be creative in finding solutions at a competitive rate was huge in dealing with my folks who'd been displaced from their situation through no fault of their own. Karen and the front desk staff at SSOTA were heroes to me in helping care for our people.

Karen and her team will be my first call the next time I book a block of rooms for one of our organization's events!
