Good hotel, clean and big rooms, good spread at the breakfast, good staff. It was a typical Marriott hotel. Parking is not free but you do get multiple in and out access. You can walk to the nearest metro station via the hotel garage which is great because you can avoid walking in the cold during winters. The Bell 20 restaurant is nice but not a lot of options for vegans and I wish they improve that.
A mixed stay!
Service at the front desk was good, one of the concierge's was able to get me checked into a room very quickly despite arriving about half an hour early. All the staff i interacted with were very pleasant and did their best to help.
The hotel is in a very convenient location on the Blue/Yellow line, just wish that it had been more clear that you could actually access the hotel directly from the underground! When you arrive, you can take the hallway on the right side before the last escalator exiting the Metro and you will be able to take the elevator up to the lobby without having to go street side!
It was weird that this was not more prominent on the website as this would have been great to know before hand, I suppose most of the people staying a this hotel are coming by car.
The main issue with my stay was that a fire alarm was pulled at about 4AM while staying at the hotel. Was able to evacuate down the nearby stairwell, but when guests got downstairs there was no direction from hotel staff. Most people were simply filtering back into the lobby where it was warm. The fire department eventually showed up, but I was never directly told by hotel staff that it was a false alarm. I had to rely on a guest coming back outside to inform me as I was not prepared to go back inside until it was clear there was no danger.
The staff were calm which was good, but it doesn't seem there was a working fire evacuation plan in place and would have appreciated more clear directions/announcements regarding what was going on.
Overall though, the hotel was good, and i will likely stay here again if given the chance. Just hoping that Marriott considers a training/refresher for fire evacuations.
Very nice Marriott. The room I had was very large and nicely updated. The concierge lounge is pretty big. The usual breakfast spread. They have coffee right by the door which is convenient if that is all you are looking for. The bar is a good size and seems to stay pretty busy. Very nice selection of wine with pretty reasonable prices. The wait staff was very good and extremely kind. The front desk staff was also very good. There was a bit of a line when I arrived and they clear it quickly. Overall a very good and well run Marriott.
Room was okay. No bathtub in mine which was quite the downfall. They must have to be asked for because other people I was staying with had them in their rooms. Also, an event was going on during the time I was there so the music was very loud the entire time. However, the location, room service, and overall customer service was great!
Nice hotel and some of the nicest people at the front desk. The rooms have been newly renovated and the hotel is conveniently located near many shops and restaurants. Will definitely recommend and stay again. There is some construction on the exterior of the hotel, but the interior is clean and what you would expect in a Marriott. Looking forward to seeing the hotel after all construction is complete.
Nice, newly refurbished hotel. Very nice staff. Clean open modern room about average in size for a large city hotel. Well located and near the Metro station. As I write this the daily charge for parking is $30 per day. Definitely would stay here again. The only issues/improvements that I would make are more light in the main area of the room and a quieter AC unit. Whenever the AC kicked in it was very loud.
The hotel is nice for the price. Very clean and the service is good. The AC would not go below 73 degrees even with the windows shut all day. We mentioned this to front desk twice, stayed Friday through Monday but it was never fixed. Room 405. Anyways, the breakfast buffet is good albeit pricey at $21 per head. $13 a day for internet seemed steep too.
Edited to add the shuttle has 10 seats. If you HAVE to get to airport for an early flight, as people in a hotel would, take a cab. They only run every 20 min. Under construction but it will be beautiful. Several places still need work. The ladies bathroom on the mezzanine has sewage smell coming up from the floor drain. There are NO restrooms in the bar, you must either go to your room or the mezzanine. Staff and service were great. It is VERY centrally located. Parking garage is available. Breakfast buffet available. Airport shuttle. Taxi rank out front. Sits literally on top of the underground, so easy access to the shops in the underground and the tube service. Bus stop for metro out front. Very poor selection of beer and mixed drinks start at $15. Rooms are stunning and beds are comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff is so welcoming especially Deborah at the front desk. She helped me understand how to get around using the Metro and let me borrow an extra Metro card that she had. She Rocks! The food at the mezzanine was great for breakfast, appetizers at 5:30 and desserts at 7:30. There's shopping right under the hotel with food and the Metro. The rooms are nice and the hotel is being remodeled right now. The only complaint we had was the room air conditioner wouldn't getting cold enough. The thermostat wouldn't go past 74. We like it cooler than that when we go to bed. The fan never stopped but it would kick off when the thermostat got to our temp we wanted and the room stayed warm. Other than that our stay was amazing here!
I have been here four times, and this is a great place to stay if you are in the DC area. They usually have good/ competitive rates, easy access to the metro (Reagan airport only one metro stop away), plenty of dining locations within walking distance, quick metro ride to downtown DC and the museums. The staff here is always very friendly as well. No complaints!
Nice hotel located over metro station (short walk inside). Very professional and kind staff. They worked hard to make us feel values. Hotel is finishing up renovations and the ros are very modern. Plenty of eating places nearby and a great place to stay in DC with convenient metro use.
Convenient location, good staff, tired rooms. Stay on the side away from the highway. Courteous staff that helped with any request. Rooms were clean but could use a makeover. Popcorn ceilings and faux walnut furniture went out a few years ago. You do get used to the road noise after a night.
The hotel is located very conveniently being directly connected to the Crystal City Malls and metro station. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was a standard room with 2 queen beds. One bed was fine, but the other had a very worn and uncomfortable mattress. The room's bathroom was quite large but the shower had a handheld sprayer style shower head with only one setting which happened to be full blast, but there was plenty of hot water. The hotel's underground parking garage was clean and well lit, but the 26 dollars per night fee seemed a bit steep. While this hotel did have it's issues, our stay was all in all a good experience.
Great place to stay when visiting the DC area. The mall under the hotel is very convenient with lots of restaurants nearby. The park across the street is a great place to relax. It is almost on top of the metro but found it is much easier and less expensive to use Uber to get around
The rooms are very nice and the location is great. We run the Army Ten Miler every year and this is a great location. Also Reagan Int Airport and the metro access make this hotel worth the money.
Good hotel that's right by the metro. Easy to get around town. Rooms are clean with decent view. Good snacks on mezzanine.
