Aside from people who bring their pets with them, but don't feel the need to pick up after them like any normal owner would... Yeah, aside from all the feces on the grass, the place was great! (:
Rooms clean. Updated. Lobby isn't the most welcoming. Older hotel. Staff was attentive. Park and fly probably their bread and butter, but maybe need to have them park elsewhere to allow current guests a place to park.
Great place. Way better since the new owners took over and transformed the property plus the owners are local and a well known family in Minneapolis.
It was an alright hotel. Needs some work and updating done to it. The breakfast was not good at all. The people behind the counter checking us in and out were very rude.
For an inexpensive hotel room this place is fine. I stayed there with my child for 8 days. The room though it had some damage was clean. The pool area was clean and some attempt was made to ensure that rules were being followed. The staff was friendly though not always professional. The continental breakfast left some things to be desired. Not a lot of variety. Part way through the week the pancake maker broke and wasn't fixed during our visit. They also ran out of sugar part way through the week and didn't restock. If you're looking for a completely put together 4 star hotel this isn't it. But if you need a safe, semi quiet place to sleep that isn't absolutely disgusting it meets those expectations.
The beds were so comfortable I slept like a baby. The pool was great my daughter had a blasted. She really loved the pancake marker. Clean and friendly definitely would go back.
We book rooms here for our family members when they come and visit. Rooms like new, breakfast is great, the pool and whirlpool salt not chlorinated. You won't regret it.
Room was nice. A little noisy during the night in the hallway. Heater worked too good. Had to shut it down. Breakfast could have been better.
The housekeepers Louis & Margarita are top notch. Very guest friendly, like they really wanted to make my stay as comfortable as possible. And I can't say enuff about Carmen and her awesome breakfast every morning!! Kayla at the front desk, as helpful as they come...Highly recommend this Days Inn..Great job management, on your staff, and running a great business!!
The front desk was friendly, there was a shuttle pick up from the airport, and the bed was clean (checked for bed bugs and the mattress looked pretty new actually). The good employees are what are keeping this place standing.
However, this hotel really needs some help. It's old and very outdated. The mattress looked new, but felt awful - I could feel the individual springs in it. The bathtub constantly ran - you couldn't shut the faucet off fully. It could really use some paint and pretty much new furniture/utilities. Mold in the bathtub...etc.
I got into it for $57 after tax for a night - it's what I expected for the price, but determined it was worth $13 extra to go to the quality inn closer to the airport.
I tried to restore that place in my 7 years working there, sadly it just keeps getting worse. Every recommendation I shared with the various owners was useless. We didn't even have extra pillows or blankets for the guests (any idea how bad it sounds to get a call from someone asking for a couple towels or pillows and having to tell them, 'no, sorry we're out?' Or having to take it from another room?) the place lacks supply/maintenance. There's a couple of people there (like the manager Stacy) who are doing thier best, maybe the new owner can fix that mess...
Not impressed. Ceilings are falling in, security doors don't work, screens ripped open on lower levels in the back of the building, strong smell of marijuana, TV didn't work. Stay someplace else if you want to feel safe.
The beds were hard as a rock and they only give you 3 pillows and when we asked for more they said they didn't have any, but what hotel don't have more pillows? We ended up checking out a day early and they didn't even refund me the money, plus maid service was very rude and when my husband and I were asleep every 10 minutes they were pounding on the door and then calling the room multiple times, even though the do not disturb tag was on. But all in all I hated it the only plus is that it was sorta cheap!
I got a room, with 1 bed and no blanket. It wasn't my reserved 2 queen room. It worked though. Told me I was getting a discount, but it was the same price. Breakfast was pretty good though. Pool was. .. a pool
Very clean, staff very friendly, good price... but the walls are thin like a paper... we can HEAR EVERYTHING from next room !!
The room was dirty especially in the bathroom. Good breakfast selection. It was nice to see a pancake maker instead of the waffle makers. The rooms also smelled like stale tobacco.
Nope. Absolutely terrible hotel. This property should be completely overhauled or torn down. Only redeeming fact was the super friendly clerk at check-in. She was very happy to assist. But the entry way which is littered with people smoking and laying around feels super sketchy and the rooms are extremely dilapidated and worn out. Hair dryer was missing so they took one off the wall of another room and gave it to us. Breakfast wasn’t terrible, but not much if you’re trying to eat healthy. Days Inn in general are lower quality but this hotel is way below that standard. Room smelled of wet dog and beds felt way past expiration date which make me wonder so many terrible gross things 🙄
Plus- Big, comfortable bed. Close to Mall of America.
Negative- · The location felt really shady. The air conditioner was broken. Refrigerator smelled like spoiled milk and had some sticky dried up substance spilled all over the inside. Front desk attendant had little to no personality.
Overall- left a little to be desired...
Pool is accessible in front. Staff is helpful an friendly. Did spot paint peeling an window screen is broken. But the air was on an it was 90°f + outside. Olive garden is a short drive an trader Joe's an with in 30 min of the horse track. In poor traffic with road construction July 2019.
