Hotel needs a facelift. Not what I expected from Marriott. My flight was delayed several times, I was trying to communicate this to the hotel through chat using the app. Not one response. I checked in late and informed the young man at the desk I wanted a 4pm checkout. Housekeeping knocked on my door 4 times! They ignored the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. When I called the front desk to complain the gentleman had not recorded my 4 pm checkout. Needless to say I was very upset as I was nursing a bad cold. The staff lacks communication. If I were not using points I would definitely demand a refund!
Oh my Marriott, disappointing, started with hotel shuttle pickup taking 35 minutes for pickup, after checking in, the room given to us had not been made up. Decor is somewhat dated & shows the wear and tear. Room adequate however bathroom definitely needs updating as cracked tile & shower fixture coming undone. Bed is a bit soft memory foam.
Good hotel 5 minutes from the airport. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. Decor and finishes a little out of date but not bad.
Room had an damp musty odor. Felt damp, floors felt wet. Very dated interior. Appeared that mold was bleeding through the paint in the bathroom. Breakfast was disappointing. Apple and orange juice were watered down. The only good was the staff was friendly and helpful however would recommend staying somewhere else.
Clean but not well maintained. I've been staying in NOLA hotels for the last few months and if you can find somewhere else to stay, I'd recommend it. The staff are warm and personable. The room was clean and had a TV, fridge, and microwave. It's nice that the hotel is near the airport, but otherwise the location is poor (airplanes fly directly overhead, the area isn't nice). I won't be staying here again.
Didn't realize for the price we were paying we didn't get a microwave in the room. The beds were super comfortable though. That was definitely a plus. There was a sour smell coming from the bathroom but it was only a one night stay and we were exhausted so we just called it a night. The breakfast was great, my daughter love fresh fruit in the morning and they had alot to choose from.
The employees were nice, but I did not get any sleep because the people upstairs was trampolining through the hotel in their room like a bunch of elephants are a herd of cows from 3 in the morning until 5 a.m. . The breakfast was nice the workers who serve the breakfast where are nice young ladies. The swimming pool could have been cleaner with less trash.
The hotel is very clean, the rooms are a great size and the beds are so comfortable. What really was amazing is the hospitality given by the employees and especially the front desk girl that is there from 2PM-10PM. So glad I was able to find this hotel after a canceled flight. To make the stay even better, the complimentary breakfast was delicious. They also provide a airport shuttle bus that leaves every half hour.
This hotel is small and has narrow corridors and a small elevator that is shared by staff and guests alike. For some reason the swimming pool is under construction and closed down. The breakfast is free but it's your typical free breakfast cereal, toast, etc. My room was very small. Tiny tiny tiny bathroom. However the room was clean. If I ever stay here again I'm definitely going to ask for a bigger room. Free chocolate chip cookies at check-in. The staff seemed to be friendly.
Horrible should not be a Marriott affiliate. Maintenance was in the room supposedly fixing toilet when we arrived in our room. Termites where everywhere all in our beds and food when we awoke.. Photos on the walls had water stains.. Pool closed.. Food lousy. Front desk clerk cannot do anything for you until manager gets in. Took forever for manager to respond. This hotel does not give refunds no exceptions, no matter how you pay.. Avoid this dump if at all possible.. The manager will lie to you to your face.
