The rooms were right for the price. Had to put a refundable $10 down to use the safe. Thought that's just a basic amenity in all hotels nowadays, like a bed, toilet, shower, tv, etc. But I got 72 channels on a 32" flat screen with all the good ones like FX, TNT, Fox, TBS, ESPN. I even got Fox Sports Southwest, I watched a Texas Rangers game against Seattle. They internet is terrible. It could be my too I'm position to the closest access point. I'm literally the 3rd room from the front desk, so you think close to the lobby, and main router, bandwidth would be decent. I think it's a software issue with the consent page, you gotta check and Agree & Continue. Cause it's hard to get it to pull up.
We had a pleasant 2 night stay. Emily was very friendly at the front desk. Rooms are clean and beds are super comfortable. Thanks for the hospitality super 8! See yall next time!
Stayed here while I was in the area for QuakeCon. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Very reasonably priced especially for it's location and the fact it was one of the very last places with rooms near the Gaylord. Rooms clean but a little run down, good enough for the price though. Parking was a little limited but there was a huge empty parking lot next to it within a reasonable walking distance. I would stay there again.
yes, my boyfriend and I stayed there last month. It was a terrible experience all around. It was under his name. You are welcome to email me if you need more confirmation!
When we got there late at night, about 15 people got off the shuttle from the airport (that took over an hour to get to us!) and the woman at the front desk was busy with another couple checking in. That would have been fine, but she then proceeded to spend a significant amount of time telling them about the local dining options, but adding at the end of EVERY suggestion with "but they are closed right now" or something like that. The couple was just asking for somewhere simple to eat quickly and go to bed. She wasted a lot of time telling them about all of the closed restaurants close by, never answering their question. I finally chimed in and told them the McDonald's across the street was open. She rolled her eyes and kept going. Everyone was getting irritated. Finally that couple just walked away because they weren't getting any answers other than what I gave them. When we got to the counter, she took the ID & credit card, then started talking to someone else behind us about their room for several minutes. Just standing there holding our stuff but not doing anything with it. Finally I asked if we could get going, it's past 11pm and everyone there just wants to get their rooms. She seemed irritated that we just wanted to get into the room. She asked us at least 3 times if we needed the shuttle in the morning even though we told her no, that we had to have an UBER because the shuttle doesn't start until 5am and we needed to leave before that. It was like she wasn't paying attention to anybody. She needed to focus on the customer in front of her, be expeditious in doing so, and try to deliver some customer service appropriate to that time of night. By the time we got to our room, we had been in the lobby for over 20 minutes even though when we arrived there was only 1 couple there checking in and we were next in line. She wasted at least 15 minutes saying and asking ridiculous things. We were already there for a funeral and she knew that. We had told her that right off the bat, explaining all we needed was sleep. Aside from that, the hallways smelled horrible and when we finally got to the room it was an immense let down for the price we paid! The rooms were overpriced and the service was terrible.
I’ve been staying here for a number of years on a fairly regular basis. Let’s start with front desk, always friendly. Rooms are clean, location is great, flat screen Tv’s with all the channels including golf. Now I’m going to be honest here. This is not a Double tree or a Hyatt. It’s just a nice clean hotel that I think you’ll enjoy staying at.
