Clean areas. But almost every store and food/drink place was closed.

Really amazing transformation from the old structure šŸŽ‰ Was very easy navigation but took much longer than the old terminals. Love the local choice for food šŸ˜‹ salvaging the mosaic tiles and reinstalling them šŸ«¶ also mimicking parts of the city brilliant! The art is amazing šŸ‘ well done.

The beautiful, new #MCI International Airport is so spacious, bright, modern, interactive and most lovely. Lots of charging ports, seating, restaurants, bars, retail stores and more. Also lots of airport parking. There's even a Sensory Room for travelers to use to calm them before flights. Such a beautiful new airport KC, well done āœ…āœˆļøšŸ˜ā€¼ļø

As always love to travel from this airport not because I am living in Kansas city but the easiness of the airport is unique. Looking forward to seeing the new airport in 2023. The airport kept changing every single time I am going there to either travel myself or pick a family friend or relatives there. Is existing to see how things have started and going to be finished.

The New Terminal is amazing featuring all the amenities you have come to expect from a thriving functioning city. There were no short cuts taken. Absolutely beautiful space with lots of options for shopping and food during your flights and layovers. During your next flight please take some extra time, arrive early, youā€™ll want to check it out.

Kansas City International Airport is a remarkable facility for air travel. It is a massive improvement compared to the old facilities, with far more seating, more amenities, a new lounge, and a brighter space. Plus, you can get far better reception than at the old facilities.

First time traveling through Kansas City MCI airport since the terminal renovations are complete. Great upgrade. Good selection of eating spots. Not quite sure about the multi-sex restrooms since most people don't allow someone other than themselves in their own home restroom.

This new airport is insane! Travel a ton for work and finally we have some places to eat and relax before flights. Got through security in 7 minutes (Flight at 7 so take that into account). It was probably the only time I wouldnā€™t have minded a delay to see everything opened up. Bathrooms are clean and comfortable. More than one coffee option?? Huge upgrade from before.

Very clean, pretty easy to navigate, fun, lots of shops and restaurants. Bathroom has a light system that lets you know if a stall is occupied or free to use. As you walk through the terminal you see lots of things that are true to Kansas City style. Like the BBQ, centerpiece lights resembles a fountain spraying and along the walking path from the terminals to baggage claim are you will find information telling about Kansas City and it's history. There are chairs/benches with charging ports so you can relax while waiting for your flight. I love all the updates and upgrades they've made to the airport

It even smells brand new!! I will say, the bigger security takes longer naturally, but not by too much! They are quite efficient. The airline concierge was super friendly alsoā€”even followed me to security to give me my luggage tracking barcodes. Once you get in the gate, you want to stop at every local eatery and gift shop and blow all of your money. They have a unique and beautiful assortment of souvenirs and giftsā€”it was tempting to buy something for myself. Clean. Advanced. The one downside I have to share though is the drop off lanes outsideā€¦ I donā€™t think the flow makes sense and they can be highly congested.

The new terminal is awesome. We love the red and green lights at parking and in the bathrooms showing open and full spaces. I noticed sometimes in the bathroom the green will stay on even after I close the door and lock it. It rarely messes up and i still love these features ā¤ļø they even have a sensory room for people who need it due to different sensory issues.

Great airport for a large city. Easy to get in and out of and the TSA lines are never too long. Restrooms are fairly clean for an airport. They have a lot of gender neutral ones as well. Four-stars because the food options are pretty bad. I would definitely recommend avoiding your meals here. Whatever time of day. The terminals have very large wide-open high ceilings with plenty of seats.

Itā€™s finished and itā€™s great! A REAL airport once again. I was there at 5am and a coffee shop was open! Beautifully decorated, all modern amenities, lots of food and shopping selections. Only minor problem is the pickup lanes on the lower level - there is often a backup out to the road into the airport.

This airport was due for an update. Kansas City will finally get the great first impression it deserves. Lots of amenities that are needed in an international airport. Great food (BBQ) selection. Great shopping selection. Easy security checkpoints. Lots of things to look at to make the airport more enjoyable.

This is also one of the most modern and handicapped accessible airports in the country. Adult changing tables are available. Quiet rooms. Gender neutral bathrooms. Updated bathrooms. Pet relief areas. And lots more.

The last time I came through this airport, that was old with laterally nothing onsite and limited of airlines. KC did a great job transforming this airport and terminals into a modernized airport with many airline options and many shops, restaurants, and bars available. All the bathrooms are genders.

A lot of folks appreciate the convenience of the current Kansas City International Airport, as do I. However, itā€™s NOT like most airports across the country. For many reasons such as VERY few places to eat and shop, especially within the gate areas. As well as the overall design of the horseshoe shaped terminals. Iā€™m really excited about the new airport thatā€™s scheduled to open in March 2023. It will definitely be a much new and better experience.

Also, found out that they are going to demolish the old terminals asap. Guess we are losing a vital part of KC Aviation history.

This is a great and modern airport. It's because I had to drive around to try to figure out where to drop off the rental car because there was no signage that it gets 4 stars. Other than the lack of signage, I would give this place a 5 star.

Love the new terminal compared to the old one.

The old one was quick and easy to get in and out of but had nothing in the way of amenities.

This new terminal is massive and is honestly overkill for a city this size. However it's still extremely quick and easy to navigate through even though it's much bigger than the old airport terminal.

I love the architecture and the sculptures and artwork everywhere. The fountain in the middle of the main rotunda is awesome and is my favorite piece of artwork in the whole airport.

The new airport has tons of amenities, lots of restaurants and more than enough bathrooms.

Although the restaurants are mostly barbecue places.

And one of the coolest things is all the jet bridges are glass which is awesome for aviation enthusiasts like me.

Small airport but nice. Terminals are little half circles. Once you get past security, there isn't much to do besides walk the loop or browse a tiny shop or two. Also tons of birds in the area. We saw around 1,000+ pigeons or similar small bird in a giant flock. Pretty cool! If the bathroom near your gate has a line, try walking to the other side of your terminal loop.

The new terminal is nice but it is still a busy place to be. I recommend making the rule that you arrive two hours before your flight so you can make it to the gate. There are several food options, coffee shops, and bars to choose from when you are here. It is a god airport overall and it is one I recommend when you are flying. Have a great trip and come home safe!

So this is the first time I have been to the new airport. It is big and the entrance is massive. We went really early because other people who traveled recently said that it was slow getting their baggage checked at southwest. We had no problem at all. If was really busy I could see standing in really long lines.

The new design is a little different. There were a lot of charging outlets by the seating area which is really nice. However it being the first flight out, I felt like most of the shops were not opened yet. Compared to the food options at the last mci, there were a lot more options.

Overall it is really nice but a part of me misses the old simple airport, you know where you could come an hour before and make your flight no problem.

I'll have to see what it is like coming back to the airport in a few weeks.

Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is a nice older airport, a little cramped and short on space. Kansas City International Airport is clean, well managed, and maintained. There are only a couple of restaurants or bars in either of the 2 concourses. The concourses are narrow, and space/seating can be limited, especially when flights become delayed. The airport is about a 20-minute drive to downtown Kansas City.

If you find my review helpful, please give me a thumbs-up šŸ‘ Thank you!

This is my first visit to Kansas city and I was welcomed with an incredible piece of art airport. The design is modern and out of curiosity, I asked when the airport was commissioned. It's a new airport and it's fresh. Be mindful of all gender restroom although it has its privacy. I look forward to using this airport again.

Love the new airport! So easy to navigate and lots of good selections for food.

Iā€™m disappointed though that there are more ā€œall genderā€ bathrooms than traditional bathrooms. Iā€™d give 5 stars if that werenā€™t the case.

Airport is clean and efficient, very unlike before. There are no rusty toilet holes, no separated security checkpoints, and departures and arrivals are on separate levels. Would definitely see international carriers come in given the recent upgrade! Restaurant selections are great, most of them are a first for travelers given that they are local. And the Sky Club! How amazing is that?! There is even room for another lounge in Concourse A North. In the middle of the concourse connector, there is a viewing area that features displays telling everyone about MCI's history and the land itself, as well as KC's aviation history. Art selection is fabulous as well, really displays KC well. Now we just need flights to London. (Ya hear that, British Airways?)

This airport has certainly undergone a remarkable transformation! I've been using MCI for 25 years, with a break in between, and it's impressive to see the recent improvements. If you haven't been to MCI recently, you're in for a pleasant surprise.

It remains a compact airport, now housed in a single, modern, and impressive building with terminals A and B. While there's only one Delta lounge, MCI boasts a diverse range of Kansas City restaurants and bars. From counter service eateries to wine bars, BBQ joints, and sit-down restaurants, you have a great selection.

The airport also provides convenient workspaces with numerous plug-in and USB charging stations throughout. The new MCI airport not only pleases the eye but also operates with remarkable efficiency.

Again, it's a significant upgrade from the old Kansas City Airport. The bright, spacious design and ample seating make it welcoming. You'll find a variety of options for purchasing locally made items, drinks, and meals. However, there is room for improvement in the signage for navigation, and some restroom facilities faced minor issues, like missing toilet paper and malfunctioning occupancy indicators. Nevertheless, overall, it's a positive experience at the new airport and a vast improvement over the old one!

Very easy airport to navigate, & the TSA wasn't a big issue! This airport is smaller, & definitely not as hectic as the bigger guys! The food options weren't that great in the airport...but, I'd already ate. That's definitely something they need to improve! Overall a nice simple airport!

Overall great experience, very well maintained and managed airport. Best part was the facilities available at the airport, availability of family toilet facility was a big relief. All of the toilets were well maintained and cleaned frequently. Also the best part was the availability of quiet room which was amazingly surprising. We used the prayer room as a family for our prayers. Highly recommended.

Wow! This new MCI airport is amazing! A huge upgrade for space, design, counter check-in, restaurants, and car valet! It is super clean and surrounded by nice artwork all around the airport! There are a lot of restaurants inside the terminal with lots of options for coffee shops! Valet is pretty easy and starts from 1-4 hours at $12.

Very nice updated airport. Security was a breeze, even on a Saturday morning flight. I like the new scanners where you don't have to take anything out of your carry-on bags. The restrooms are really nice and probably have the biggest stalls I've ever seen. Plenty of room to get in with my carry-on and my backpack and still turn around. I liked the green lights above each stall to let you know which ones were occupied. Lots of restaurants and shops, and everyone was very friendly.

Love the new airport in Kansas City! Beautiful and spacious and easy to find your gate. Love that the bathroom stall doors swing out. Only airport I have ever been to that figured out how effective this is. The pic is for the Super bowl champions!

New MCI/KCI is a breeze.

So spacious and efficient.

One new thing is all the bathrooms are non-gender specific, which threw me off. But once you walk in, itā€™s basically individual stalls and a common sink, so it is not uncomfortable for anyone. Itā€™s rather efficient.

Unlike old MCI, once through security, youā€™re in the whole airportā€¦ like everywhere else. So thatā€™s a huge win for Kansas City.

Thereā€™s maybe like 20 gates. So itā€™s not tiny, but itā€™s small enough that youā€™ll never feel like youā€™re too far from your gate.

Clean easy in and easy out airport. Plenty of food options inside. Southwest airline was delayed a half hour my first time here and bathroom could have been cleaner. Uber Lyft ride share pickup was easy and outside off the curb which made for a better experience.

Fairly small airport. Easy to maneuver. You have to catch a 5 min shuttle ride to the Rental car area but there's no long wait. Today was a busy day. Flights were delayed but the staff did great at keeping everyone updated. You could actually understand the 1MC announcements.

Amazing new airport. I love the bathrooms because of the indicator lights above the stalls so you know which ones are available for use. It is well lit with comfortable seats near the gates. I was very impressed by the design and construction. They did a superb job! I'm looking forward to my next visit!
