Offering around 18,000 artworks and artifacts, the Asian Art Museum is a perfect place for anyone interested in Asian culture and tradition. It’s located at 200 Larkin Street in San Francisco. Since there’s no official Asian Art Museum parking facility, our team will help you find a safe and cheap spot for your vehicle. Learn about the nearest garages and outdoor lots, their hourly rates, and street parking availability. You’ll also discover top public transportation options in the city if you decide to use the subway or a bus to get there.
Hours & Admission
The museum is open between 10 AM and 5 PM Friday through Monday and 1 PM to 8 PM on Thursdays. It’s closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
General admission is $20, while students pay $14. Tickets are free on the first Sunday of each month and available at half a price after 5 PM on Thursdays. Kids younger than 13 can enter free of charge on any day.
Top Parking Near the Asian Art Museum
The museum’s website recommends two nearby structures: Civic Center Garage and UC Hastings Parking Garage. Both are within easy walking distance and offer plenty of spots, but some visitors find them pricey. We’ll provide hourly and daily fees and then list top alternatives; compare them to find what works for you.

This one is an underground parking structure located at 355 McAllister Street, a quick walk from the museum entrance. Rates depend on the time of the day:

|Daily Maximum (24h)
UC Hastings Garage
The UC Hastings parking structure at 376 Larkin Street is open from 6 AM to 11 PM. The cost is $8 per hour, while the daily maximum is $32 and applies after 4 hours. However, the museum members who validate their tickets will pay $11 for 4 hours of parking.
Tip: Visit the museum on a Sunday to take advantage of a special $10 rate that applies on Sundays only.
Our team singled out the most cost-effective alternatives in the area, most of which are available on SpotHero. A visitor’s average time in the museum is two to three hours, so we listed the fees for three hours of parking.
