Mortgage Matchup Center Parking Guide

Last verified: September 14, 2026. The Suns' arena has been Mortgage Matchup Center since October 2025, after a stretch as PHX Arena and years as Footprint Center. This page keeps its old address so existing links still work. We checked the arena, Phoenix Suns, Valley Metro, City of Phoenix, ParkWhiz, SpotHero and Vivid Seats pages listed under Sources. Prices are what those sources published that day and change by event.

Costs are what each source published on September 14, 2026, for the games named. Distances are the walk to the arena at 201 E. Jefferson Street as each seller lists them.

What the arena actually says about parking

The arena's transportation page is short. It says there are several garages and lots within walking distance, that guests should buy in advance through ParkWhiz, that availability, pricing and access vary by event, that parking opens about 30 minutes before doors, and that parking does not include in-and-out privileges. It names no rates at all.

• The two arena garages are named only on the accessibility page: the Mortgage Matchup Center Garage, entered at 1st Street and Madison, and the Jefferson Garage, entered from the south on Jackson Street. Downtown Phoenix Inc. lists their addresses as 211 S. 1st Street and 333 E. Jefferson Street.
• Valet is not open to the general public. The two valet stands, on Jackson Street between 1st and 3rd Streets, are for club and suite guests and open about two hours before an event.
• Drop-off for guests is on 3rd Street just south of Jefferson at the green curb. Will-call drop-off is on 1st Street north of Madison. Cars cannot be left unattended in either zone.
• Doors and timing: the arena does not publish doors-open times on its parking page. The ticket office opens at 3 p.m. on weekday event days and three hours before other events, which is a reasonable proxy for when the garages fill.

Suns home games, October and November 2026

Prepaid garages, ranked by walk

ParkWhiz is the arena's named seller, and its home-opener listing for October 24 is the best current picture of what a Suns game costs to park. On September 14 it showed:

• Kimpton Hotel Palomar valet, 2 E. Jefferson St, 0.1 miles, $40.
• Collier Center Garage, 201 E. Washington St, 0.2 miles, $40.
• CityScape East Garage, 1 E. Washington St, 0.2 miles, $40.
• CityScape West Garage, 50 W. Jefferson St, 0.2 miles, $25.
• Luhrs City Center Garage, 181 S. 1st Ave, 0.2 miles, $22.
• Arizona Center Garage, 0.6 miles, $17.
• Murray Park N Lock lot, alley entrance, 0.9 miles, $8.

The preseason game on October 10 priced the same way, with a $15 lot at 45 W. Buchanan Street as the cheapest close option. SpotHero had not listed any Suns dates yet, but its published range for arena events is $22 to $40, and for a mid-September concert it had CityScape East at $30, CityScape West at $23, Luhrs at $25 and the Adeline Residency valet at $40. JustPark has no Phoenix inventory. The city's own reservation portal, ParkPHX, showed prices from $1 to $38 for October 10, mostly $26, but did not name the lots.

Light rail: the ticket is the fare

Valley Metro's RailRide program makes your event ticket valid as light rail fare from four hours before the event through the end of the transit day. It applies to events ticketed through the arena or Ticketmaster, which covers Suns games, and it covers rail only, not buses. Riding without a valid ticket carries a $50 to $500 fine. The program page lists the October 10, 16, 24 and 30 Suns games by name.

• Coming from the east, exit at 3rd St/Washington. Coming from the west, exit at 3rd St/Jefferson. The Downtown Phoenix Hub at 1st Avenue is a 0.3-mile walk.
• Paying riders: $2 a ride with a $4 daily cap and $20 weekly cap. Reduced fare of $1 for ages 6 to 18, 65 and over, Medicare holders and people with disabilities. Children 5 and under ride free.
• No downtown rail alerts were active on September 14.

Rideshare

The arena publishes Lyft zones only. Drop-offs are at 1st Street and Jefferson at the arena plaza, on S. 2nd Street at The Ryan, on S. 3rd Street at the Phoenix Convention Center, and on E. Jefferson Street at the Hotel Palomar. The pickup point after the game is S. 3rd Street and E. Jefferson at the Convention Center. The Convention Center's own rideshare zone is the 3rd Street pull-in just south of the sky bridge, and it warns the zone can move during events.

Accessible parking

Both arena garages have accessible spaces, on every floor of the Mortgage Matchup Center Garage and on floors 1 to 5 near the elevators in the Jefferson Garage. They are first come, first served, and the arena says demand routinely exceeds supply. A prepaid pass is sold as general parking and does not reserve an accessible space. At street meters, placard holders get one free hour after the meter expires.

Street work near the arena this fall

The City of Phoenix's scheduled restrictions list showed, as of September 13: partial utility closures on Madison Street between 1st Street and Central through September 17 and on 1st Street between Jackson and Jefferson through September 22, both at the arena garage entrance; full closures of 4th Street between Jefferson and Buchanan and of Jackson Street between 4th and 3rd from November 11 to 16, which brackets the Jefferson Garage during the Hornets and Lakers games; and partial private development closures on Washington Street west of 1st Avenue through the end of the year.

What this guide doesn't recommend

• Driving to a garage without a pass. The arena itself tells you to prepay, and the closest garages were $40 with no published drive-up rate.
• A two-hour meter for a three-hour game. Enforcement runs until 10 p.m. every day, weekends included.
• Waiting for a car at the plaza. Pickup is at 3rd and Jefferson by the Convention Center, not where you were dropped off.
• Counting on valet. It is not open to the public.
