Tampa Convention Center Parking Guide

Updated for current event-night routing and booking paths.

Last verified: September 14, 2026. We checked the City of Tampa, HART, TECO Line Streetcar, ParkWhiz, SpotHero and Vivid Seats pages listed under Sources. Prices are what they published that day and can change by event.

Short answer. The center's own garage at 141 E. Brorein Street is $3 an hour with an $18 daily maximum, or a flat $5 to $50 on event days, paid on arrival. The Pam Iorio, Fort Brooke and William F. Poe garages charge the same, per the city rate table.

Cheaper: the Twiggs Street garage and the Selmon Expressway West lot are $2 an hour, $14 maximum. Private garages on ParkWhiz ran $7 to $44 for the September 19 Red Bull event. The TECO Line Streetcar is fare free and stops at Dick Greco Plaza, outside the building.

City of Tampa garages near the center

The center is owned and operated by the City of Tampa. Its parking page gives four garages the same rates: $3 an hour, $18 daily maximum, or a flat $5.00 to $50.00 on event days, paid on arrival. The city's rate table (updated October 13, 2025) agrees and adds that event rates apply until 6 a.m.

  • Convention Center Garage, 141 E. Brorein Street. 454 spaces, 11 ADA, 2 EV, 6 feet 6 inches clearance, no long-term parking.
  • Pam Iorio Parking Garage, 301 Channelside Drive. 790 spaces, 41 ADA, 2 EV. Overnight allowed until 6:00 a.m. Formerly South Regional. Clearance not published.
  • Fort Brooke Parking Garage, 107 N. Franklin Street. 556 hourly spaces, 6 feet 8 inches clearance, overnight until 6:00 a.m. The venue's 2020 blog post puts it about 0.3 miles away, a 7-minute walk.
  • William F. Poe Parking Garage, 802 N. Ashley Drive. 932 spaces, 22 ADA. Clearance and walk distance not published. Organizers can prepay here; drivers enter a tag number and the organizer's code at the pay station (city special event parking page).
  • Twiggs Street Parking Garage, 901 E. Twiggs Street. 890 spaces, 22 ADA, $2 an hour, $14 maximum.

No reservation seller, in-and-out rule, oversized-vehicle option or lost-ticket charge is published. Payment apps: Passport, PayByPhone, ParkMobile and Flowbird, each with a convenience fee. The 2020 blog post's $1.60 an hour and $5 to $12 event rates are stale.

Front Drive meters and the Selmon Expressway lots

Front Drive, 333 S. Franklin Street. 36 metered spaces, 8:00 a.m. to midnight daily, no overnight parking. The venue page says $4 an hour; the city's rate table says downtown meters are $4 the first hour and $3 after, and its meter page says enforcement runs 8 a.m. to midnight seven days a week. Which applies to the Front Drive is unclear.

Selmon Expressway West Parking Lot. 54 spaces, 1 ADA, $2 an hour, $14 daily maximum. The parking page puts it at 201 S. Ashley Drive; the entrances page says 301 S. Florida Avenue, the address the parking page gives the CAMLS lot (64 spaces, 5 ADA, weekends only).

Upcoming events on the center's calendar

From the venue calendar for September 14 to November 13, 2026. Private events are left out; the public and ticketed labels are our reading of the listing. Which figure in the $5 to $50 range applies to each is not published.

Downtown garages on ParkWhiz and SpotHero

Neither app lists the city garages. For the Red Bull final on September 19, ParkWhiz showed 10 listings from $7 to $44: One Harbour Place Garage, 201 Knights Run Avenue, 0.3 miles, $16; Bank of America Plaza Garage, 156 E. Washington Street, 0.4 miles, $32.50; L11 Northern Trust Lot, 403 E. Madison Street, 0.5 miles, $20.

SpotHero quoted an event range of $15 to $20 and a weekend range of $15 to $25: One Harbour Garage from $16.99 at 0.3 miles, Bank of America Plaza Garage $17.24 at 0.5 miles, 509 E. Whiting Street $10.99 at 0.5 miles. The apps disagree on the Bank of America garage's price and distance.

Drop-off and rideshare on Franklin Street

From the venue's entrances page:

  • Front Drive, 333 S. Franklin Street, across from Water Street. Uber, Lyft and taxi drop-off, and the venue's best spot for people with disabilities.
  • Harpoon Harry's Drop-Off/Pick-Up Spots, 225 S. Franklin Street. ADA, rideshare and taxi.
  • Selmon Expressway Bill Changer Parking Lot, 202 S. Tampa Street. Steps from the main entrance on Franklin Street, across from the Convention Center Garage.
  • Buses and motorcoaches: not published. The loading dock sheet lists docks at 211 S. Franklin Street (upper) and 111 Channelside Drive (lower).

TECO Line Streetcar and HART buses

The TECO Line Streetcar is fare free and its rider page says it runs seven days a week to 11 stations every 15 minutes. Stop 10, Dick Greco Plaza, is just outside the building. Stop 11 is outside the Fort Brooke garage at Whiting and Franklin Streets; the streetcar site calls it Station #11 Hattricks, HART calls it Whiting Street Station. Hours are not on the pages we checked, and the streetcar's own fares page still carries a stale 2024 notice about reinstating fares by January 5, 2025.

HART Route 19, Downtown Tampa to South Tampa, lists the center as a destination (schedule book effective August 16, 2026). Marion Transit Center serves Route 19 among others. Bus fares are $2.00 regular and $1.00 discount.

Accessible parking

  • ADA spaces on the venue page: 11 at the Convention Center Garage, 41 at Pam Iorio, 22 at Poe, 22 at Twiggs Street, 1 at the Selmon West lot, 5 at the CAMLS lot.
  • Two on-street ADA spaces sit in the circle drive, per the 2020 blog post.

What this guide doesn't recommend

  • Overnight at the Front Drive meters, or long term in the on-site garage. Both are barred.
  • Assuming an app booking covers a city garage. ParkWhiz and SpotHero list private garages only.
  • The CAMLS lot on a weekday. It is weekends only.
  • A tall vehicle without checking clearance. 6 feet 6 inches on site, 6 feet 8 inches at Fort Brooke.
