Gainbridge Fieldhouse Parking Guide

The connected garage and the arena's rules

The arena and the Pacers both send drivers to the Virginia Avenue Garage on the northeast corner of the building. A covered skybridge on its third floor leads into the arena, and the entrance is off Maryland Street. Advance passes sell through ParkWhiz, the arena's partner, at select locations.

• Size: 2,525 spaces, 44 of them ADA, with an 8-foot-2 clearance, per Denison.
• Rates: a posted event range of $10 to $30.
• Hours: 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays. Weekend hours vary with events.
• Address: Denison lists 155 S. Delaware St. ParkWhiz and SpotHero list 277 E. Maryland St.
• Buses: the arena sends bus parking questions to Denison at (317) 916-1760.
• Re-entry: exits past the ticket point are final, per the A-Z guide. The garage's in-and-out policy is not published.
• Bags: bags larger than 6 by 10 by 2 inches are not allowed inside.
• Bikes: city bike racks sit under the garage near Maryland Street.

RV, oversized vehicle and tailgating rules are not published.

Upcoming Pacers and Fever games

Start times are Eastern, from the arena calendar and its Pacers schedule, which lists 39 home games from October 23 through April 9, 2027. The two preseason games appear on ParkWhiz, SpotHero and Vivid Seats but not on the arena's Pacers page. Fever doors open 90 minutes before tip-off. No Pacers door time is published.

Nearby garages and what the apps charged

Fever vs. Mystics, September 20. SpotHero listed 69 garages and lots, from $6.50 to $70.53 with fees. ParkWhiz listed 35 bookable options from $10.43 to $84.75. Three garages close by, with SpotHero's walking estimates:

• Merchants Garage, 31 S. Meridian St.: $21.70 on SpotHero, about 4 minutes. ParkWhiz had it at $21.00.
• Traction Yards Blue Garage, 26 W. Georgia St.: $23.87 on SpotHero, about 4 minutes. ParkWhiz had it at $27.94.
• CityWay North Garage, 237 S. Delaware St.: $32.55 on SpotHero, about 3 minutes. ParkWhiz showed no online booking and a $22 cash-only drive-up price.

The Virginia Avenue Garage was $33.18 on SpotHero, labeled "Premium Pricing," and $33.72 on ParkWhiz. Before fees both apps charged $30.58, just above Denison's posted range.

Pacers vs. Mavericks, October 23. ParkWhiz listed 28 options, from $10.70 at Capitol Commons Garage to $84.75 for Hyatt Regency valet. The Virginia Avenue Garage was $40.02 for 5 p.m. to midnight, and Traction Yards Blue Garage was $27.94.

Apps can price the same garage very differently. Capitol Commons Garage was $10.70 on ParkWhiz and $27.13 on SpotHero for September 20, so compare both before you book.

Rideshare, taxis and drop-off

• The A-Z guide says rideshare drop-offs and pickups happen on the streets around the arena. No designated zone is published.
• The Pennsylvania Street drop-off in front of the arena is only for guests with limited mobility, per the accessibility page. The street is one-way southbound, and cars cannot be left unattended.
• Yellow Cab offers wheelchair-accessible taxis at (317) 487-7777.

Getting there on IndyGo

The Julia M. Carson Transit Center, at 201 E. Washington St., is two blocks from the arena. It has 19 covered bus bays and is open 5 a.m. to midnight Monday to Saturday and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The arena does not name the routes that serve it, and IndyGo says bay assignments can change.

A two-hour unlimited fare is $2.75, or $1.35 for eligible half-fare riders such as people 65 and older. With MyKey+, fares cap at $6.00 a day and $24.75 a week. Two-hour and one-day passes are sold on the bus, and children 5 and under ride free with a paying rider.

Accessible parking and drop-off

• The arena says several facilities around the building each have accessible spaces. The Virginia Avenue Garage has 44, per Denison.
• The skybridge from the garage's third floor reaches all seating. There is an escalator at the bridge, and elevators are in the arena's northeast area on all levels.
• If you drive a raised-roof van, check the garage's 8-foot-2 clearance first.
• Guests with limited mobility can be dropped off on Pennsylvania Street in front of the arena. Wheelchair escorts start at the Ascension St. Vincent Entry Pavilion, but wheelchairs are limited.
• IndyGo Access trips cost $5.50 to $15.00.
• Accessible parking prices, placard rules and ADA reservations are not published.

Construction and closures

The arena, Pacers and Denison pages we checked published no construction notice, garage closure or event street closure.

What this guide doesn't recommend

• Driving up to the connected garage without a reservation. ParkWhiz already showed it as limited for September 20.
• Buying a resale pass without checking the facility. The Vivid Seats listings do not name a garage.
• Using the Pennsylvania Street drop-off for everyone. It is for guests with limited mobility.
• Choosing the cheapest app price without checking the walk. The $6.50 lot was 14 minutes away.
• Planning to go back to the car mid-game. Exits past the ticket point are final.
