Short answer. The arena's parking page names no arena lot. The arena and the Timberwolves both point drivers to the ABC Ramps next door, where Ramps A, B and C post a $25 event rate. For the September 18 Lynx game, SpotHero and ParkWhiz sold spaces in those ramps for $20 before fees.
Mayo Clinic Square Ramp is the closest garage, at $30 before fees on both apps. The cheapest app spots started at $5, a third to half a mile away. METRO Blue and Green Line trains stop at Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue Station for a $2 fare.

The ABC Ramps: rates and rules
The ABC Ramps are owned by MnDOT and managed by the City of Minneapolis. The Timberwolves call them the premier parking destination for fans. The arena's Getting Here page lists skyway links to Ramps A and B and Mayo Clinic Square Ramp, but not Ramp C.
- Ramp A, 101 N. 9th St.: enter from I-394, 9th Street or 10th Street. Clearance 8 feet. The arena's south skyway entrance is near this ramp.
- Ramp B, 516 2nd Ave. N.: enter from I-394, 5th Street or 2nd Avenue. Clearance 7 feet 8 inches. The team calls it the closest ramp.
- Ramp C, 318 2nd Ave. N.: enter from 2nd Avenue, 3rd Avenue or I-94. Clearance 8 feet. The team calls it the fastest exit.
- Rates: $25 per event at all three, per ABC Ramps and the MPLS Parking rate sheet. Neither says when the event rate replaces hourly rates.
Paying, leaving and re-entry
- Pay stations in the ramp lobbies take cards, Apple Wallet, Google Pay and cash. The exit columns do not take cash, according to ABC Ramps.
- After paying at a pay station, you have 15 minutes to exit.
- Target Center has a no re-entry policy for all events. The ramps publish no in-and-out rule.
Nearby garages and the app prices
SpotHero. For the September 18 Lynx game, its first 50 listings, all within about two-thirds of a mile, ran from $5 to $40 before fees. Ramps A, B and C, Hawthorne Ramp and City Center Garage were $20 each, or $21.70 with fees. Mayo Clinic Square Ramp, 53 feet from the arena, was $32.55. RSM Plaza Garage on South Marquette Avenue was $5.43, about a 9-minute walk.
ParkWhiz. It showed 49 options for the same game, fees included. Ramps A, B and C were $21.40, Hawthorne Transportation Center Garage $22.60 and Mayo Clinic Square Garage $32.10. The cheapest were $5 at the two Benson lots, 0.5 to 0.6 mile out, and $5.35 at Runyon Lot, 0.3 mile out. The top price was $45.30 at the Church Lot.
Other ramps nearby. MPLS Parking posts event rates of $25 at Hawthorne and $15 to $20 at Hennepin at 10th.
The same lot can price very differently by app. Runyon was $5.35 on ParkWhiz and $26.79 on SpotHero for the same game, so compare both.
Rideshare and drop-off
- Target Center publishes no rideshare pickup or drop-off zone.
- The arena is at 600 1st Ave. N., between 6th and 7th Streets. Its accessible drop-off is on 1st Avenue in front of the building, by the Life Time Lobby entrance.
Getting there on Metro Transit
METRO Blue and Green Line trains stop at Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue Station, which the Timberwolves call an easy walk. The team says several bus routes stop within one block.
The regular fare is $2, good for 2 1/2 hours. Riders 6 to 12 and 65 and older pay $1. An all-day pass is $4 and lasts until 2 a.m. the next day. Rides within downtown cost the 50-cent Downtown Zone fare, with no transfers.
Accessible parking and drop-off
- The arena's accessibility page tells guests who need an elevator to park in Ramp A or B and enter on the skyway level.
- ABC Ramps lists accessible stalls on levels 2 through 7 of all three ramps, mostly near elevators.
- Its rate page lists "ADA Spaces" at $70 to $80 without saying whether that is per event or per month.
- The official accessible drop-off and pick-up is on 1st Avenue in front of the building.
- Staff can meet you with a wheelchair at a skyway entrance or the Life Time Lobby, but not outside the arena. Guest Services is at 612-673-1380 on weekdays.
Construction notices
The arena's Getting Here page carries two undated MnDOT notices: I-94 lane closures, and bridge and ramp repair on I-94 and I-394 between downtown and Highway 100. We did not confirm they are still active, so check your route.
What this guide doesn't recommend
- Resale ramp passes. Vivid Seats listed Ramp A at $39 for September 18. The posted rate is $25, and both apps sold it for less.
- Cash at the exit. The exit columns don't take it.
- Stepping out mid-event. The arena doesn't allow re-entry.
- Assuming Ramp C has a skyway link. The arena doesn't list one.

Which ramp is best for Target Center?
Ramp A or B, for a covered walk. The arena lists both as skyway-linked. The Timberwolves call Ramp B the closest and Ramp C the fastest exit. SpotHero's walking estimate puts Ramp A slightly closer than Ramp B, while ParkWhiz has them about even.
How much is parking at Ramp A?
The event rate is $25. Hourly rates are $4 for the first hour, $9 for up to three hours and $10 for up to 12. For September 18, SpotHero charged $21.70 and ParkWhiz $21.40, fees included.
Where is the best place to park for a Timberwolves game?
The team recommends the ABC Ramps. For the shortest walk at a higher price, try skyway-linked Mayo Clinic Square Ramp. Prices for Timberwolves games may differ from the Lynx prices here.
Can I park for just a few hours?
The ramps post hourly rates, but neither rate sheet says when the $25 event rate applies. On event nights, plan on the event rate.
Is there cheaper parking within walking distance?
