Wingate by Wyndham RDU

The staff is very friendly. The breakfast consisted of cheese omlets, sausage links, pancakes, bread for toast, bagels, biscuits, muffins, three fresh fruits, juices, milk, coffee, tea, grits, oatmeal, and waffles. The beds are firm, firmer then I'm use too. They do have construction going on next door, but it isn't annoying at this point. It's not loud by any means. The shower could have a little more pressure, and the hot water could be a bit hotter, but I understand that they have to have it a certain temperature. We did find that someone decided to take the showerhead off which caused water to leak out the top, but we tightened it and it was fine. They allowed us early check in after a long drive which was beyond my expectations of a hotel. That put them over the top in my opinion. I would definitely recommend this place!!

Todd was exceptionally accommodating in making sure guests got what was requested. The breakfast bar was fully stocked & the food was delicious. There were 40+ retirees in our group & all were pleased.That, in itself, is an anomaly. Todd deserves a bonus!

Great, clean, convenient hotel close to the airport. Would suggest having a car to get around as it is not walking distance from area restaurants but definitely a short car ride away from plenty of options. Clean room that could use some upgrades. Safe neighborhood. Friendly, helpful staff. Free breakfast offering multiple options for almost any diet or picky eater in your group. Reasonably priced for the location and amenities provided. Would stay here again and reccomend.

Very nice. If a person is looking for a hotel near the airport I would definitely suggest staying at the Windgate Hotel.

Nice hotel. Friendly service. Great breakfast. After a bad experience at another hotel on our flight into Raleigh - we booked this room and it's close to the airport. We were impressed with the modern and large room. Nice bathroom. Much better than our first hotel!

Great location. Clean. good for a quick overnight. Guy at check in was nice. My daughter told him we were in town for a Savannah bananas game and explained what it was. When we got back after the game, he recognized her and asked her if she had a good time! Rooms were clean and comfy.

Front desk ladies are so friendly! Rooms are in need of a remodel, but they are immaculate! The sheets are bright white and crisp with a very comfy bed. Thank you Wingate for a great stay!

This place was a cool place to stay because it was closer to my job. That's it.

Check in was fast and easy. The lobby and general area appeared nice and clean. Our room was overall nice and great. A typical (2) bed room, good bathroom and study area so I had a positive experience. If there was anything that I would say/recommend I would say that our room was somewhat on the dark side as I had to turn on all the lamp lights and other fixture lights to brighten up the room. So maybe the rooms could use better lighting/lights? Other than that it was good!

Great experience. Consistent with other Wingates we've visited. Convenient to interstate and convention facilities in the area. Clean, good price. Bag breakfast option is nutritious and convenient. Been here before, will return again.

I stay at Wydham hotels quite frequently, and I'm a front desk manager at a downtown hotel in Texas. This hotel went above and beyond my expectations. It's nicely decorated, the rooms are spacious, and the employees were extremely polite and helpful. Very good breakfast, fast check in and check out, and free airport shuttle. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient airport location.

Very convenient to the airport. Service at the night desk was excellent. We were there less than 24 hrs so can't speak for other services.

It's a really great hotel to stay at if you want peace and quiet, a good night's rest, and a friendly atmosphere. The management and staff are kind and helpful. Also, it's not as expensive as a lot of the other hotels around, and most of all they keep the place clean, with no bugs!

Hotel was nice & clean and the staff was friendly. However, the wifi was impossibly slow. In addition, I was disappointed to see that the heat/ac unit wasn't controlled by temperature, but by dials, so you just have to guess the heat level and fan speed. I'd expect that in a Day's Inn, but not in a Wingate. Overall the for hotel it is a 4, but as a Wingate it's a 2 or 3.

The staff was very friendly and helpfully. The room was cleaned and the beds were very comfortable, not to hard or too soft where you sink into it. Close to everything we were doing. Only complaint was the person next door smoked Marijuana all night and it was making me sick. But I understand that they can’t seem to help that I feel it is not fair to the next person that is going to book that room has to smell it.

We arrived late at night with our toddler and the young lady at the desk was kind enough to get us a milk from the kitchen. This meant so much to us as we were on our way to see our grandma that not expected to have too much time left with us. It was this small act of kindness that meant so much with the extra stress. I did not get the young lady's name, but this was around 10pm on 7/3/2020. Again thank you for your hospitality. You are going to go far in life.

Clean nice room. Appears to have been renovated. Staff nice. Shuttle to airport. Only complaint, toilet was too low to tge floor as though for young children. Had a breakfast buffet that was average.

Very comfortable stay! Front desk staff was amazing. Very polite and accommodating. Just need to be updated for a fresh look.

It's my 1st time in Durham and this hotel was recommended. I can easily see why. It's a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and all the amenities you need. Love the breakfast, design of the lobby and the staff I encountered were all friendly.



Will definitely be returning. The experience here made my visit to Durham even more memorable.

This has become my go-to airport hotel. If you're expecting something that matches the low price, this will be a nice surprise.



The rooms are well done. Not crazy fancy, but good-looking, solid, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Fridge and microwave.



Good location vs a lot of other airport hotels. The shuttle isn't just for the airport. It will take you to nearby restaurants, stores.



Nice staff, especially a very nice gentleman who quickly fixed a problem after a long, exhausting day of travel.



Guest laundry ... always a bonus..



And right across the street from a wooded area with a walking path!

We stayed at the Wingate last minute trying to make it from atlanta to VA beach. It was a very nice stay. Clean and comfortable. The bed was cozy and the front office staff was nice. Breakfast was great in the morning with lots of options. Would recommend!

The room was very clean and stocked with the appropriate number of towels. The temperature was easy to adjust to make it perfect in the room. The breakfast was average, what you would expect for free breakfast. The pancake machine was messing up but the waffles, shinning star. No bagels, very few bananas and no other fresh fruit (apples or oranges). They had yogurt ,cereal,juice,milk and coffee. All the staff was very friendly and smiled alot. Location is close to alot of things (highway, restaurants, gas stations) . I would stay here again.

It is as advertised. I read some negative reviews so I was skeptical in making my reservation. It was not bad at all. Good sized room. Restroom small but very convenient. A little wait for the hot water to run. The smell In the hall way was terrible, I did not know what it was. Probably from smoking... the receptionist was very friendly. I love the nearness to everything such as airport. Mall, church, etc. Overall, great stay. I will definitely lodge again as long as the standards do no depreciate.

Good hotel. Breakfast was sufficient. I have had better breakfast, but the room wasn't too expensive.The staff was nice. The room was big. There was plenty of room for 2 people including a sitting area. The rooms were nice. I left behind my international power converter and USB charging device, so enjoy :)

Very nice inexpensive hotel. There are some trivial signs of wear, but I considered them insignificant considering the great location and price.

The hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. When I booked it through Wyndham, it stated there was a hot tub in the room. There was no hot tub, and when it was addressed with the desk clerk, he stated he would inform the manager.

I was a little bit reluctant to choose this hotel because the price was so reasonable, I have had bad experiences with lower priced hotels but this one delivered and delivered well. Check in was a pleasure, you couldn’t have asked for a nicer front desk manager, all staff I interacted with were very friendly. The room itself was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast simple but sufficient. The bed was just right and pillows perfect. Perhaps the Hotel Design is a bit dated but the staff and well maintained furnishings make up for it. It’s close to the airport and also an easy drive to most everything that you would want to see in the area. Definitely recommend it 💯

I only stayed one night because of having surgery. It was very nice and comfortable. My friend enjoyed it.

We're happy with our room. Is very clean. The breakfast was not as expected. There was no eggs and the pancake batter was out and the lady said it will take her 30 min to prepare another bag of batter. So we didn't have time to wait that long.

I had a Great stay at this hotel. The Front desk staff is amazing and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The beds were clean. It is especially important more than ever because of the pandemic. The staff had on mask and there were hand sanitizer machines on the walls to the Elevator. All in all for the price I enjoyed my stay.

More than what I expected clean slept well bathroom very clean, just a little noises in room air conditioning. I definitely will be back and tell others. Friendly staff cleaning my room totally respectful and a big smile, which means alot she must enjoy her job. Thank you

I don't usually post a review, but this one is an exemption. I just want to say kudos to Aman the concierge staff in Wingate Raleigh/Durham for taking an extra mile in helping us return our baby staff that we left in the hotel. It was a very special stuff to our baby because it is her comfort pillow. Thank you Aman for your assistance we appreciate it!

You are crazy to stay anywhere else! I usually stay at Hampton or Embassy or Hilton and this place is definitely right up there with them!! I am a fan!

The bed was too hard for us and the pillows to thin and squishy. I needed more. So we didn't sleep well. But quiet. Love the area.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and provided extra towels and toiletries. The location is near Starbucks and the highway with easy access. Stayed 3 nights, not a big variety for breakfast, but there was enough.

The hotel was very clean and the King Bed room was extra spacious. The hotel is located in a pretty quiet area and was conveniently located by the airport, mall, and any store you can think of. They have hand sanitizer located next to the elevators on each floor and they did the best they could do for COVID precautions. Breakfast consists of baggies with food that you can take to the room and unlimited coffee and whole fruit after Breakfast. I would stay here again if needed!

It was a nice hotel, clean, staff very professional. They served breakfast in separate containers for everyone to just grab. They did the best they could regarding covid. I would come here again.

They advertise a "whirlpool/hot tub" but it was closed. (Not sure if it's under construction but it wasn't even marked on the door.)



The only downfall of our room was that it was a handicap accessible room, so we had a huge walk in shower, but the only source of water was a tiny handheld showerhead....and it sucked.

Room was better than expected, clean, roomy, beer and wine on site! Not bad for $78 bucks a night. Would definitely stay here again!

It was great! Felt very safe and comfortable here. Rooms are clean- that's the big plus for me. Not sure about the shuttle service- as I had a rental car.

Our reservation stated our room had a hot tub. We paid for HOT TUB static. Just to get to the room and it has a standard bath tub.

I hope to try this hotel this year. Wyndham usually has nice properties there are a few in Raleigh Durham that are questionable. The airport/ RTP area is a nice area

Management and the entire staff are Outstanding, Professional, Courteous and always accommodating. Wonderful & extremely clean rooms as well.

I stayed on 12/31. The woman at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. I thought price was more than fair for clean room and up to date decor.

Good compared to its competition, and a nice surprise given the price ... except see below re: bedding. Clean linens should be a given.

Nice staff, particularly the shuttle driver--who also quickly fixed a check-in problem after I had a long, exhausting day of travel. The staff at the front desk are almost universally much friendlier than most. Almost. I'm sure the two others, one who almost cost the hotel a customer, know who they are.



But the cleaning ... or lack thereof. The housekeepers are very friendly and do their best. There just aren't enough of them.



Also, daily clean bedding and towels are kind of mandatory unless specified otherwise. I've been here a week, had to beg just to get the sheets changed for the first few days. Finally gave up begging. The sheets haven't been changed in 4 days, towels in 3. And, despite stains on the duvet, it's never been changed.

Our stay at Wingate was good for a weekend get away. The hotel was fairly quiet. There is a dog run for the apartments behind the hotel so we heard dogs barking every so often. Other guests didn't disturb us. There are a lot of restaurants close to the hotel and it is easy to get in and out of Raleigh/Durham via the nearby highway exit.

Rooms are very clean. The only problem I had was the hot water takes a long time to get hot, it finally got hot after about 10 minutes of just letting it run. I didn't like waisting the water but I can't take a cold shower. Every thing else was great.

Nice hotel at a good price. Clean and modern. I would suggest having a car though as it’s not really close to many other shops or restaurants. Breakfast, fitness facility among others. Biggest safe I’ve ever seen in a hotel room.

Good accomodations. Nice clean room. Desk clerk was friendly and made me feel welcome. Hot breakfast "buffet" was good. The sausage patties seemed a tad underdone. Great little pancakes. Didn't have any vending machines with the ice machine. Very limited selection of beverages in the coolers by the front desk. Above all, a good place to rest your head. Would stay here again.

Requested handicap room and it was ready upon our arrival. Close to Duke hospital and Durham Veterans Affairs Hospital. Rooms were clean and now use pump containers for soap, shampoo and conditioner. Please note they add a $50 service hold on top of your room rate.

Very clean hotel. Professional workers they were very helpful. They also have beer at this location for guest. They'll serve it until 1:45am. I thought that was nice. More hotels should have this feature.

Clean, spacious room. Slept well after a day of apartment move in. Fridge compressor was clunking so I unplugged it. Shower head had a leak that sprayed on the shower ceiling. Front desk took note when I reported the next day. Coffee was good and the grab and go breakfast was fine. I'll stay there again.

The only thing bad to say about this place is that they need to train employees about Service Dogs. The check in clerk wanted to charge me extra for my service dog!! The only reason they got four stars was because of the amazing room. Extremely comfortable and nice. HI5!!!

Clean room. Little chippings here and there because the hotel is old. But overall it is a clean and modern room

We use the park and fly quite often.

As usual, we called the shuttle service when we landed and Roc, our shuttle driver, picked us up from the airport.

Roc dropped us off at our truck and unfortunately, we came back to a dead battery (my fault...I left the camera running for the 2 weeks we were gone!).

Without hesitation, Roc offered to replace our fob battery with one he had in his own vehicle.

Unfortunately, the battery didn't fit our fob, so he then offered to jump us.

Obviously, we didn't want to disrupt his work day or the shuttle service for others, so we told him that we'd just call AAA.

He left to go pick up more guests at the airport and said that he'd be back to help.

Although, he was supposed to be done with his work day after he initially dropped us off at our truck, he not only made three more trips to the airport to pick up more guests, but as promised, came back and jumped us.

Needless to say, we were able to cancel AAA and be on our way!

Roc went above and beyond and we truly appreciated his help and efforts:)

Everything from the moment I called and spoke to a lovely lady on the phone, to getting checked in and being taken care of, what's fantastic. I definitely didn't expect to enjoy experiences as much as I did. From good toiletries, to good breakfast, to comfortable bed and pillows, to great parking, to very friendly front desk staff, thank you very much, and as I continue my road trip I'm going to pick Wingate by Wyndham again!
