The hotel is beautiful, very artistic and modern at the same time. Beautiful Decor inside the room and in the lobby area. They have a nice selection of items in the little convenience store area. Also, have a bar and grill for food and beverages. There is a microwave downstairs, I'm not sure if one can be brought to the room, but there is not one in the room. The only issue I have with this hotel is the HOTEL SHUTTLE. The hotel is literally a two-minute drive from the airport where they pick you up, however we waited almost 25 minutes for the van driver and then once the van got there there was really no greeting. We had to call two to three times and they said give the van driver 5 minutes BUT it's a two-minute Drive and it was our THIRD CALL. You could truly walk to the hotel that's how close it is so for us to wait so long for such a short ride it's UNACCEPTABLE. The only way I will come back to this hotel is if they improve the hotel shuttle other than that a really nice hotel.
Aloft Buffalo Airport is a great looking modern hotel but the rooms were smaller than I expected. No microwave and the beds aren't the most comfortable. Lighting in the rooms could be better.
place is ok, modern feel. bed is not the best, but I like the layout of the suites. Shower pressure was not stellar but I was on floor 5.
Not a full service hotel, but they do make some decent food for dinner. The breakfast is not complimentary. Gym has everything needed besides free weights.
No hot water two days in a row. Pretty shameful for a Marriott. This would be a really great place to stay but definitely needs some new management.
Easy check-in/check out. Very well sanitized premises. Quiet despite the proximity to the airport. Comfortable bed 🛌 and pillows. Room darkening blinds contribute to a good nights 💤rest. Very experienced and friendly bartender. 😊
The hotel does not have a garment steamer for guests to borrow. 🙁It will be great if management considers providing one for all guests attending formal events such as weddings. There is an iron with a board in the room. Not a good option for a quick touch-up on formal attire. The 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is dispensed in a large Superhuman container attached to the bathroom wall. The body wash is offered in the same package. Both products are with marine botanicals, have a pleasant smell and worked well. The fresh brewed coffee in the lobby can be significantly improved, but Starbucks is around the corner. Great experience overall! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
It's a very nice property. It's also crazy expensive. There's gotta be some Giant Coupon or some rewards deals. However, I suspect it's just people who like to pay a boatload for the quality.
Any experiences from around here?
I stayed here twice during the pandemic (September and November 2020), and both times were fine for a stopover on our way to upstate New York. Our most recent visit in July 2022 however was far from expectations. This time I found used bar soap in the shower, hair, and a spot of blood. In addition, the bed was barely made and there was a huge strain on the side of the mattress, which we found because we had to make the bed ourselves. They also gave us only one bath towel and one hand towel. We had to go downsides to get more. The elevators, our floor, and our room stunk of weed when we first arrived. When we tried to discuss this all with the manger upon checking out, there was no one in the lobby and about ten people waiting to be helped. I know it's been hard on many coming out of the pandemic, but when there's blood in my shower, I think you should just not sell the room.
It is right across from the airport, which would be great if you're flying, and they have no pet fee, which is the big reason we've stayed here. They also offer long term airport parking. Unfortunately we'll have a hard time returning here.
Nice staff. Clean room (kinda smells like bleach tho and there’s a lot of wood). Above all, they have a free pool table in the lobby, which transcended my 4 star review into a 5 star review.
All I can say is yikes! This place isn’t clean. I’ve stayed here 3 times and while the last 2 times were fine, this last visit was very disappointing. Our room smelled strongly of weed, asked for another one but was told they were sold out. Then found the bed war poorly made revealing a gross stain on it (see picture).
Went to take a shower around 11 before bed and found a previous occupant’s soap and blood in the shower. Utterly gross. I went to talk to management about it the next morning but there was no one to be found. Guess I’ll reach out via phone on a week day.
I know it’s hard to get enough staff to clean rooms right now but if you don’t have the labor to clean all your rooms don’t sell them.
I have well over 400 nights in Starwood and Marriott properties and this was a low point for sure.
2 stars for decent previous stays but this last stay probably was my last.
Aloft are pretty much the same wherever you go, but I did enjoy my couple night stay here. I cannot speak on the amenities like the bar or the gym, but I did enjoy the breakfast. The rooms were clean, nice sized.
My only complaint is that the showers leave a lot to be desired in terms of water pressure, size and shower head spray.
Stayed here for a night while visiting the Niagara falls. Place is pretty clean and staff are nice. Room is large and spacious.
Bathroom and room had stench like PORT A POTTY, I was too tired to ask to be moved to another room because I had a lot of stuff to carry with me. It would’ve been nice if we had a good room in the first place. It was not nice going to sleep and waking up to that stench..
CHECK THE ROOM BEFORE YOU UNLOAD.
Great hotel and a good deal in Buffo. Rooms clean. Extremely nice and accommodating staff. And very quiet, although that may be because there are very few flights in and out of Buffalo Airport.
The hotel seems to accommodate Canadians waiting for their Covid test results before crossing the border.
Arrived at hotel at 2 a.m. due to cancelled flight. Front desk woman was so kind and patient trying to check the whole flight crew in at once. Rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the staff was welcoming. Thank you!
Very unique room design. Not to my liking but to others maybe .Room was booked for a 2 day getaway to enjoy the pool .Very friendly staff and nice 24 hr setup for snacks or a microwave quick meal. Covid protocol in place especially with pool having reservations for individual family to enjoy privately.
Everytime i come back to Buffalo!...I stay at the Aloft...my home away home!! The best sleep ever 😴
Great place I loved it. Only thing I would recommend is that they get TV's that allows you to change the settings. The TV was way to dark and there was no way to brighten it. Other than that it was lovely.
I enjoy staying at this hotel chain. I had to stay at this property because my flight was cancelled due to weather and rescheduled for the next day. The room was good. The food was good. The lounge was nice. It was good value. I recommend it for a place to stay the night before departing or if you land late at night and need a place to stay. I believe they also have long-term parking options.
First time staying there. We absolutely loved it! Food was amazing. Room was clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Thanks fir the great stay
Very nice staff! Clean and convenient to airport.
My wife and I have stayed here at least twice a year for the last four years as our midpoint stop on the road between Chicagoland (our residence) and the greater Boston area (my parents' domicile), and without doubt, it's one of the best hotels we've stayed at. First, the concept of a hotel where pets are welcomed instead of tolerated is excellent for us, as we regularly travel with our two cats, and pet fees at other brands often range from unpleasant to exorbitant. Second, the rooms themselves have everything we need and nothing we don't, as does the hotel itself. There is a small pool and a decent-sized fitness room, though my wife and I have used neither (and in the time of Coronavirus, they aren't permitted to open them anyway). The lounge has a pool table, seating area and bar, and a convenience area with snacks and made-to-order hot breakfast in the morning, most of which we have used ourselves. For those worried about it, there is an airport shuttle - we come in on I-90, and the hotel is only minutes from the freeway, making our trips easier and simpler. Finally, but most importantly, the staff at this specific Aloft property are OUTSTANDING. They've been accommodating of a range of minor issues we've had on the road, from late check-in through late check-out, and the service is prompt, full, and pleasant - every shift, every stay, weekend or weekday. We love this property, and we plan to keep this as our midpoint stay between my folks and our home for the foreseeable future.
As a small post-script, the luggage carts here are also much easier to use than most chains - they're similar to the luggage trolleys you can rent at most airports. Unlike those hotel-standard six-wheeeled brass monstrosities that run away on you at the slightest incline or breeze, these are FAR easier to control when loaded down with our luggage. The damn things actually have brakes that prevent them from moving unless you're squeezing down the handle! This might seem like a minor point for most, but with as cold and windy as Buffalo is in the winter, being able to load a cart by myself without having my wife freeze her butt off holding it down is something I've been thankful for every time we stay here on our way for Thanksgiving or Christmas with my folks.
My daughter and i have stayed here a bunch of times. She loves the pool, but im more a fan of the excellent restaurant/bar. Cool modern feel, and the staff is helpful and friendly. One of my favorites.
The worst Customer Service I’ve ever had at any hotel they took $100 dollars off my card and the deposit was supposed to be $50 dollars then when I called they said they only charged me $50 dollars when my bank account clearly says otherwise they rob your money. I will never stay here again.
Funky decore, strange switches for light. Can turn off when in bed
Covid19 chronicle 08.15.20: The fitness center is open, one person at a time, room temperature control, great water pressure, food available in lobby, McDonald's less than a stone throw and the bed is comfy to me...
Very nice hotel, very clean, nice staff. I was slightly worried about being this close to an international airport but the building is built very well and could not hear a single plane. Very happy with my stay wish I could give more than 5 stars
Extremely dirty! Carpet was very dirty too. Would not recommend until a proper cleaning of the hotel is done.
The hotel was very nice. With the covid crisis business has been very slow but the room was very nice and the staff are very friendly.
Made a special request for low floor away from elevator due to making a road trip with the dog to get away. 100% honored. Bed is almost as good as my one at home and the simple yet stylish nature of the rooms work for my needs when I travel. Aloft has quickly become my one of my favorite hotel chains nationwide thanks to great customer service. Also, haven't heard any airplanes yet but I'm not sure if that's because there aren't as many or the window are just that soundproofed. Either way, I'm happy with the Aloft Buffalo Airport.
In the Covid era, I expect customer service to be even better especially at hotels where they have frequent visitors and staff. Are used to love this hotel but as I stay here overnight, it’s clear that my room was not cleaned with dirt in the bathroom, dirty towels in the hallway on the fourth floor, and there’s no supervision of anyone wearing facemasks including the staff. It’s when things go wrong like Covid, when customer service matters the most.
This place should probably be rated much higher. Rooms are modern and super comfortable. Don't skip the cocktail bar. The food and drinks there are exceptional and their wings were pretty amazing too.
I loved it here! I love the staff; they were professional and inviting! Fun and live environment and it was quite around the room areas
Nice hotel right across literally from the airport. Good windows as I could not hear any planes.
Comfortable bed and rooms, cool bar and reception area. Live music some nights
This place was clean and the people was nice. The swimming pool was good , no hot tub 😪 lobby was very fun, had lots of game for the family to play. Pets stay for Free 😀👍👍
We booked for New Year's Eve party! What a great room. Clean and modern! The bartender Christine was very friendly and very knowledgeable on the Hotels amenities. We ate at the bar went upstairs and came down later to a GREAT duo for our entertainment. Hats , noisemakers and even champagne for the toast! Can't wait till next year. Thank you all.
Beautiful hotel. Awesome staff. Very convenient to Buffalo airport. Meeting/banquet rooms available. Make sure you stop by the bar and say hi to Christine, a fantastic bartender
I cannot day enough good things about this hotel and the staff! We are from Canada and stayed here for 3 nights for a hockey tournament with two of our centres teams-from the moment we got there to the time we left they were so incredible! They had a meeting room where they allowed the kids to play mini sticks (a favourite thing to do when staying in a hotel for a hockey tournament), this way they were contained in a room, door closed and not bothering anyone else in the hotel(brilliant!!!! More hotels could learn from you)! We also drank and had a good time as parents in their lobby which had access to a bar, live music on the Friday night etc. It was again the perfect spot to allow the parents to have a great time and not bother any of the other people staying at the hotel! Well done Aloft! If only ALL hotels could be as accommodating and understanding as you! Would stay here again in a heartbeat for a hockey tournament or just with my own family!
Great hotel with awesome value. A quick Uber ride to downtown and right across from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The staff has always taken care of me and made my experience exceptional.
Super friendly staff, clean rooms, great local beers and delicious food. Perhaps the best Aloft I have stayed at.
As usual! Had a burger for dinner.
It was great.
This was a really nice place. Very comfy beds. They have made to order breakfast down stairs. The coffee was good. Real creamer. I don't care for the little cups of Creamer. Everyone there was very nice. I would stay again.
Great stay in this hotel which looks amazing and trendy. It is extremely clean and ladies at the front desk were helpful. I only think they are priced about 20-25% above their actual value as I compare them with similar class hotels.
The hotel was fine but felt a little cheap. Bar staff was lovely and Patty's wings were really good. The lava cake and my breakfast were almost certainly microwaved. My room could have been cleaner--I saw some old toenail clippings under the bed and edges of the room weren't as clean as I'd have liked to see.
A perfectly serviceable hotel for an overnight near the airport. I known planes were coming and going and I couldn't hear them which is a huge boon.
Aloft Buffalo Airport is a decent hotel, which is pet friendly. The outside of the hotel and lobby are modern and have a fun vibe. The rooms are nice with the basic amenities such as free wifi, coffee maker, desk and fairly comfortable bed. There is a kitchen in the lobby where you can order different meals and snacks for a price. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.
Great hotel, the best is that pet's and especially dog's are welcome. You normally even get a pet treat bag on arrival.
This visit though there were none available and no newspapers in the morning. Staff reaction and follow up on these issues was less than expected...Also rubber/plastic mattress covers made for a less than comfortable and less than perfect night's sleep.
For the price you are paying and the Aloft brand you should be getting exceptional service and a non rubber sheet covered mattress.
That being said I would still recommend this hotel. Very convenient and right opposite Buffalo International Airport.
