I really enjoy all the employees there all very nice. Beds are comfortable rooms clean I see they are in the middle of Maintenance and Repairs. So they are trying to keep up.

So this review is because of a mistake. One that could've been corrected. One that I was lied to about being corrected and was finally corrected a day after I left. I bought my room on Expedia. Often times when you do that you must give your debit/credit card for a deposit. $50 was the verbal agreed amount. However my card was charged for $217. The woman who did this was new. I tried to be polite and understanding even though the money was needed. Her manager supposedly fixed it and told me so himself. Even went so far as to say it was a reversal and would immediately be available. So after checking my account it wasn't. The next day when it still wasn't I contacted my bank and after my call was escalated to a supervisor and I was told that a reversal was not done or at the latest it would have been available that morning. I then convinced the supervisor to stay on the line with me while I called the hotel and after he lied and said he did a reversal the supervisor spoke and stated he did not because it wasn't available. He didn't have nothing to say except of I thought it was fraud to call the cops and then let them deal with it. The BOA supervisor had to hang up because of the legal implication of her being involved in a conversation about fraud without me filing. I didn't end up doing the fraud by deception which as I was explained is when an individual verbally states an amount they are putting on hold or charging your card for and then they take over that amount. The woman who was new made an honest mistake but the way it was handled and lied about was unacceptable. Never again. The room was nice and clean though.

Was nice hotel! Lost my way in the halls a couple of times. Room was clean. Noticed the pool had hairs floating in it once we got in. A night away from home without the kids to relax was looking forward to the pool and did not get to enjoy the pool.

Staff was very friendly and the rooms were really nice! We liked the pool but stairs were pretty slippery. We fell twice getting in and out, so my butt is a little sore lol

The shuttle service was timely, quick, convenient and handled with care. I was overall satisfied with service. The driver was able to pick me up within 15 mins as he promised on the phone. It was a pleasant experience talking with the driver on the way to the parking lot. Keep up the good work!

The pictures on this site are a farce!!! There is not a grand piano in the entryway nor fine decor in the lobby. This place is a dark, dank, dungeon. Dust and grime molded the edge of the long dark halls. The dingy windowless passage that poured down into room 171 was covered in 1980's theater stain-hiding carpet. The room's varnished concrete floor was rigged with chipped and scratched particle board furniture. A brief glance over the conditions of the room and a whiff of the effluvia coming from the bathroom invited me to turn around without touching anything and find the nearest exit.

Clearly this is a family owned business, as a few were hovered the entry in plain clothes. Given, they were polite & welcoming upon entry but this squad bay of a hotel is far from a family environment.

American Airlines dumped a couple hundred passengers off here all at once, I had 3 consecutive canceled flights I re-booked with United & stayed at a Hilton.

My back still hurts from the awful mattress provided in our hotel room here. We stayed in a 2 queen room. Both beds sunk to the middle. It was like sleeping in a taco shell. It was the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever tried to sleep on. Positives: it was very close and convenient to the airport. When we arrived to the hotel, our cable tv was not working. We received prompt service where they fixed the problem.

VERY friendly staff, the rooms are very beautiful and look modern and the atmosphere here is very welcoming, they also have a variety of breakfast options in the morning and a really nice swimming pool! Will definitely be staying here again ^^

The building itself is nice but that is not what made this place awesome in my opinion.

I can not say enough nice things about the staff of this hotel. We had a very large group staying there and they treated us so well. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a great experience. What wonderful people!!! If we are ever back in the area we will not stay anywhere else.

I was so impressed with the entire experience at the Ramada. When we checked in, we were asked if we needed airport shuttle and scheduled that right away. I asked if I could drop my car off at the airport tonight and be picked up to be brought back to the hotel, they enthusiastically said "of course!". We didn't wait long when we did call to be picked up; the driver, Don, was so friendly. I appreciated that he interacted with my kids - after a long day of traveling, and as a single mom, it was nice to have another person to help keep them engaged.

The beds were super comfy, we were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves, we got to watch boxers training for a convention. Everything was a great way to wrap up a long week. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying again!

The people were extremely helpful and excellent with their service. The Fitness facilities and pool were excellent for all my workouts and my families leisure time. The shuttle service was great willing to take us back and fourth no problem.

Even though we did an early check in we expected a clean room. We did not get one. Around the bathroom stool was disgusting including the pubic hairs left by someone else. There was trash under the bed and a chip bag stuck between bed and wall. Behind dresser there was trash. I took pictures to send to corporate but there is no way to do that. The lobby and breakfast area was very nice so we really expected at least a clean room. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The lobby area was nice.

Room had trash behind dresser in room. Toilet lid was loose in the bathroom. Other people left trash In pool area and was not picked up.

The restaurant/bar is closed. Room service is Dominoes. The breakfast area closed too early.

We were first given a key that was to someone else hotel room than when we got a new key made there was hair everywhere an wasn't clean. I knew I should of just left when I was given someones else room. An for all the parent that go here. If you take your kids to the pool please mindful of there saftey since that rooms with window that look staright at the the pool......

We paid 170 dollars for one night and I just expected better. The water pressure was none existent and we were not able to shower with no pressure and luke warm water at 6am. They charge a cleaning fee if you bring free breakfast back to your room. They offer cold food that should be warm. The room itself was okay. The paints chipping on every corner and it just looks run down. We stayed on the first floor and our window opened up to the area where people are sitting at tables to eat like 4 ft from our window. Talk about awkward to open the shades and see people looking at you, looking at them.It wouldn't be as bad if the price wasn't sky high for a mediocre experience. Definitely look somewhere else. We will not be staying at Ramada again.

Pros: Staff were nice, very friendly. Pool was open.

Cons: Room was dirty in spots, under a chair seemed like it had not been vacuumed for months and was filthy. The tub in our room was in disrepair. There was construction equipment or something of the sort laying out by the pool. They also seemed very understaffed.

The first thing you'll notice is that the halls have a musty smoke smell from old cigarettes. The air in the room was stale and stagnant. We arrived in the early hours after a long day of driving. When I climbed into bed I found a used bandaid. We stayed in a different bed. I checked it for stains or crumbs and didn't see anything. However, after a short night sleep I noticed a large stain at the end of the bed near our feet. When I went to take a shower there was a clump of hair on the shower wall. Nothing about the hotel is being kept up. There was crumbs on the floor and chairs and a large Kool aid stain when you walk in the room. We even noticed sugar ants crawling around the walk way when we were packing up. No amount of personal hygiene is going to make me feel better about having slept at this hotel.

Absolutely terrible. Person at the front desk was rude and had no hospitality skills. There were needles next to a pile of vomit in the parking lot. My bathroom door was locked inside of my hotel room. The hallways smelled like marijuana.Stains everywhere. Many family members were staying in the hotel at the same time and multiple rooms were disgusting. I highly do not recommend staying here.

We had a very great experience here while we came for a wrestling tournament. We had no transportation to get to the store for supplies for our teams and the hotel manager (Dipak) very graciously drove us in his personal vehicle. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of even though we had a rowdy bunch. Very friendly staff. We will be coming back here next time we are in Des Moines.

No breakfast!

Come on, it's been over a year and a half - that Covid excuse is old. Everybody else is offering something out a caterer breakfast

Just you don't!

Sheets were wrinkly, rooms are tiny. Not even coffee in the lobby

This hotel is a MUST-skip! They were polite at the front desk and the rooms were clean. But everything was poorly lit and very dated, the pool was closed and the halls were loud all night - doors slamming, music thumping, people talking loudly and a dog barking at 11pm, 2am, 3am and 4am! Very odd experience.

The place looks very nice, staff is pretty friendly. No food in the hotel after the restaurant shut down. The pool is stilled closed, and a faded flag torn in half is rudely flown out front.

I drove from IL to celebrate a small Turkey day with my family. My room was allll the way in the back of the hotel and it was definitely not clean like it was in the past. Room was full of cobwebs and nasty toenails in between bed and back of dresser. Mattress was also covered in stains. I informed front desk and he immediately gave me a key to room next door which also was cobwebby if there is such a word. My advice to you is check your room out before you allow them to swipe your card. Also Ramada its a pandemic. Clean your rooms properly..Buy new towels and mattresses!!

The ceiling needs to be scraped it was peeling. BEDS WERE VERY COMFY. Price decent for a night stay. Staff were somewhat friendly. It was ok for a spur of the moment stay or short stay for a flight.

Dirty bathroom, dirty microwave, hair in bathtub, weird white stuff all over tray with coffee and cups, they have a BBQ restaurant attached so there is a strong smoky smell starting early in the morning, pool time is supposed to start at 11am but I was awoken before 8 as my window faced the pool and people were hollering, on top of that... I couldn’t get booking.com to load and had to check out at front desk and they charged me triple the price online

The bathroom was disgusting dust bunny’s in the vent, dirty floor and countertops. The room seemed fine but there’s a camera or something on the tv stains on the bed and peeling paint. We were going to swim in the pool but it was freezing I don’t feel comfortable here and don’t want to come here again

The place was very clean and staff very helpful. The only bad side was the AC being shut off and the room hot when we arrived, 90+° day out. Got in the pool for an hour and the room was then bearable. Great continental breakfast in the morning.

I paid for my room in advance through snaptravel. I filtered for pet friendly. When I arrived they told me there was a $25 fee for my cat who was in a kennel. It was not disclosed in the booking. The fee was almost half of what the room charge was. The attendant at the desk charged my bank card $65 . I went and inquired about the additional $45. He didn't seem to know why he had charged that amount. He said it would act as a deposit and be credited in the morning when I check out. At this point I've paid the equivalent of more than 2 rooms. We will see if it gets credited back.

I will be writing another review tomorrow after I check out.

On a positive note, the room was clean.

Would like to say that the ceiling was leaking in the living room area of the room

But other then that I really enjoyed my stay

The hotel is convenient to the airport. I overpaid, but that’s my fault. I should have called the hotel directly. The place could use some updating. I parked my car there and took the shuttle. When my flight returned, the shuttle arrived in a timely fashion. I am not a very spry person though and the person who opened the van door evidently didn’t know how to lower the step. It was a huge step up for me. Two people helped me get in. Fortunately, when we got to the hotel, a 2nd person knew how to operate the step. This was embarrassing and shouldn’t have happened. Everyone was kind about it.

If you like mildew gym towel smelling shower curtains, tub drains that dont drain, and heating systems that do what they want. Windows that dont fully close. Cable channels that go in and out. Doors that are almost falling off. Free chewed gum left on the floor. A revolving front door that has NEVER worked. This is the place for you!!

Hotel was fine just make sure they do not charge you again for a prepaid room, when you give them a card for incidentals.

So the hotel looked nice, breakfast was acceptable and free. Rooms were okay. There is a bar and restaurant there.

During our stay they had roofers using power tools at 6am we were not warned about. Walking up many customers. No one was happy.

Also under the beds there was trash left, lazy house keeping or lack of looking. Either way it was not fun for our toddler to find it under the bed. See images.

Very close to the hotel, with shuttle bus available, but on the day of our arrival, the call to the reception was not answered, for several times, so we ended up taking a taxi to get there. Later the reception told us the phone didn't ring! What a surprise!

The room is ok, while the shower of hot water is a bit not big enough, but stable, though. Swimming pool looks great, but didn't get a chance to use it.

Having a good restaurant attached to the hotel was nice, but since we were bringing our 3 tiny dogs with (at $24/each PER NIGHT), they changed us to a lower-tier room on the day of our travel when I booked the room months in advance. When we got to the room, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, there were cobwebs in every corner of the ceiling and we felt like we had to wear our shoes everywhere in the room. Not the typical aesthetic we look for. For the price, I wish we’d just gone to a La Quinta. They actually welcome guests with dogs instead of throwing them in a back room that hasn’t been cleaned, all at a premium price. Won’t be returning.

Some pros and cons. Really close to the airport obviously. Dated older hotel...my room had decent updated decor though. There restaurant food was mediocre at best. Check out the huge clumps of dust & lint inside the vent (in plain sight) in my bathroom. Maybe...clean it? Just a suggestion.

The doors are not very sound proof. I was able to hear casual talking outside of my room. Not a big deal for me, but others may find it distracting. My room also faced the gathering area outside of the main event room, so the rowdy crowd could be heard from there as well. The rooms were clean, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

It was freshly remodeled. It had really good service. They have a really good pool. The restaurant with some are really kind and let us look at their smokers. They have good airport service when they drive you there and back. even if you come and on your way back
