Staff was great Hotel nice and clean. Breakfast was lacking, no protein at all, just breads and cereal. Everything else was great!

We had a king room with a jacuzzi tub and it was everything we were looking for! The room was perfect and the woman at the front desk was the NICEST hotel employee I have ever been in contact with (and I've stayed in numerous hotels). This was perfect for a weekend getaway for a reasonable price and we will definitely be back!

One of the cleaner hotels I've been in recently but not the best...love the fact that they have hot tubs in the room and indoor pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast there could have better choices but fine otherwise

The room was pet friendly but, you would never know that it ever had a pet in it. My dog was not distracted by scents at all.The bed was super comfortable and relaxing. If you need a get away definetely stay here

Excellent place to stay, everything clean and spotless. My wife and I just did an overnight get-away from Peterborough, NH to Latham, NY. Would highly recommend staying here when needing a place to stay in the tri-city area! Nice pool with a hot tub to relax in.

The hotel is newly renovated. Nice and clean rooms with comfortable mattress and linens. The hotel has nice pool with jacuzzi and gym. The breakfast was included with the stay, however, they do not refill it. During our stay, breakfast time was 7-9 and we reached for breakfast at 8:20am, there was only muffins left and no one refilled it. People were going to Dunkin’ Donuts to get bagels.

Clean modern room big enough for my family and service dog. Staff was helpful when we ran into a problem with our car and needed to get to airport rental.

This hotel was beautiful and clean. Check in and out were easy and the beds were comfy. The shower was clean with plenty of hot water, too. The only trouble I had was the entrance was not very visible. I passed it once and had to double back, but otherwise the stay was great!

First off 5 stars for the front of house staff, the person checking folks in, managing the pool, and the phone. That may sound like a more than one person job, but no... only one person doing everything.

2 stars for room cleanliness though. We pulled out the sofa bed and a partial chicken nugget was on the bed. The mattress was severely stained as well, so we tucked it back in.

Scotch tape was still affixed to the walls from parties passed, and a dirty washcloth was found in the shower curtain.

I have been in worse rooms and the bed was clean from what I could tell, and we had functional AC, so I would not stay at this location again, but it was serviceable.

I was initially inclined to give it a “Solid 3” but decided that they’re worth a bump up to a 4 for a few reasons.

1.) There’s always naysayers who over exaggerate a “I wish 0 was an option” over a simple complaint. So, I’ll go 4 to counteract the crazies.

2.) For a “Solid 3”, this LaQuinta is fresh, modern, super clean, inside and out. Even the pet walk area was spotless. So, for a 3-star hotel, it’s fully earned it. A 4-star hotel is a full service hotel with restaurants, etc.

3.) From 1999-2005, I traveled 2 weeks away, 2 weeks home. LaQuinta was my go to brand. Solidly dependable in most locations, except when they purchased or franchises older properties. They lost their vibe in the 2010s. I am so glad to see them getting their mojo back.

4.) The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Their current pandemic practice is to limit the number of people in the pool / hot tub area by signing up for time slots. We made a reservation for 8:30-9:00 but arrived late at 8:45. She still let us in and didn’t chase us out when the pool closed at 9. We weren’t going to milk and left shortly thereafter.

5.) The breakfast was on par for pandemic conditions.

6.) The hotel has a very fair pet policy. No quantity or size limits and a modest add-on fee.

WARNING: The property can only be accessed from US-9 northbound. If approaching southbound, you have to exit right, go around a roundabout and re-enter the highway. GPS strongly recommended. If you miss the driveway, be prepared for a long detour to get back.

The one in Clifton park is better. This one you can only use the pool 4-9 in 30 min intervals. Rooms lack sheets for the bed and pillows. Very clean. The woman at the desk was amazing.

Unprofessional & unethical. Kept charging me twice & overdrafting my account , i would see the first charge right away then it’d clear and it would go through the new day again causing my overdraft. This happened twice for $727. Then after I booked another stay, I was told 20 minutes before check out that they don’t over extended stays even though I was a paying customer and said I had to leave the hotel. I asked for this policy on paper and they didn’t have it , she said her general manager said so. Kicking paying customers out when there’s rooms available??? Horrible service. And some of the cleaning ladies are rude. I was still charged for one night even though they said I couldn’t stay smh. Could have canceled as a courtesy being I was told 20 mins before checkout!

Had gone to obtain a room which my wife thought was a double bedroom for $130 when I was actually buying her the $229 to Koozie sweet for the night only to end up with a room that had smells coming from the heater and an employee that asked me if I actually thought I could afford it when I had a $2,000 water money on the counter because I had mud on my clothes as a company owner who just poured a brand new foundation in that day

Man this was not the move. They are still remodeling and our room looked like it was the next project to be started. The room mainly the covers were trash, the front desk staff person I did not like. After having to reclean the room we decided to only spend one night here. The next morning before we checked out jumped in the shower only to be disgusted, the tube filled up with water as we showed. This is ah no for me find something else around town. We did

The hotel was still undergoing renovations but from what I did see it is starting to look gorgeous. I love the new carpeting and the lobby was modern with lots of color. The rooms were fairly clean and updated. Only reason for the four stars is that there was some stains on the sides of the beds (bed skirts), our room didn’t have a shower curtain, and when we first walked into the hotel there was dog poop on the wall. But as soon as the staff was aware of these things they fixed it ASAP. Be aware for dog owners that the walls are a little thin, we were able to hear everything the guests above us were saying. I had to keep the fan on all night to keep my dog from barking at them. Staff was very friendly and the location is good. Overall it’s a nice pet friendly hotel that I would probably go to again.

The bathroom could definitely use new paint, or at least clean the walls. Guest right across the hall were in and out at least 4x every hour all night. Pool is only open for 4hrs a day with only a 30min block. I have found other hotels offer much better quality and amenities my money.

My roommate and I came up to this location on a whim. We were driving around looking for the Nintendo switch with Animal Crossing details on it and there was only one Walmart in the area that had this. The Walmart in Latham so we drove from Harlem to Latham to get this Animal Crossing Nintendo switch. A long drive but of course we needed. We were of course exhausted afterwards so we checked into this location and thankfully they had some place for us to stay. We did all of the ordering and what not online and checked in sometime after midnight. It was a very quick in and out kind of process. Though the beds were sort of hard we did get a good night sleep

Complications complications complications!!!

Expect em because they are everywhere when it comes to this place my reservation was all screwed up...they processed my card for a standard room before I told them what I wanted!!!

It was a genuine MESS!!

also no pool, spa, or gymis available right now... understood, as this is due to covid 19.

But they want you also to quarantine there if you have been traveling

They want you to stay in your room for 5 days or until your covid test comes back...and then before you leave you have to take a second one to go bout your buisness and continue your life...

I came here for some peace and quiet...I'll just never forget the hassle this place gave me...

Their muffins are nice

The suite was nice

It was clean and pretty

The staff was so incredibly kind

So that's why I gave it 3 stars instead of -3 stars!

I have stayed at La Quintas all across the country and boy do they very. This one is by far the worst in service and in pretty much every other capacity. We travel with two small dogs so thats why we stay at La Quintas and we do not mind paying pet fees if they are upfront about it. This was not. I was sprung with multiple forms and told I would have to pay 60$ upfront for pet fees that where never stated in this booking. When I refused they tried to charge my card anyway but couldn't because we did not book directly through them I should have seen that as a red flag and left. Then the power went out for two days in which they put these poor young people in charge with no idea what to do. We where locked out of our rooms and had some young person running up and down the stairs trying desperately to get us and other guests access to their rooms. It was horrible I felt so terrible for her. The manager never showed up through this entire time. I disputed the charge with my cards, the booking service and with this hotel directly. It was awful I will never stay here again. Give me my money back and I will take down this review. DO THE RIGHT THING YOU DID NOT PROVIDE ANY SERVICES

Pool and hot tub were closed. Manager on duty said it was due to state wide sanctions for covid, but this is not true, as I have stayed in several hotels nearby, the day before and two days after, one right down the road, and the pool and hot tub were open. Normally I wouldn't care and would have brushed it off, but I do not like being lied too.

The staff were friendly but did not seem engaged. The room wasn't ready when I got there so the night desk guy made it up himself. Not a bad place really but I had a different experience at previous Extended Stays. I did not have a bad experience but I will not stay there again if I'm in the area.

Great hotel for pets and offers comfortable rooms for a decent price due to COVID-19. Somewhat secured and not too far away from a major highway.

Stayed in the hotel during Covid-19. Of course, everyone is telling you about how their cleaning frequently-touched surfaces, etc. This hotel was dirty, ESPECIALLY all of the frequently touched surfaces--door to the room, bathroom faucet, etc. A routine clean at a mediocre hotel should take care of these issues, not to mention a hotel that should be going through more rigorous deep cleaning. If I hadn't checked in so late and had issues finding a hotel to stay at with my dog, I would have walked right back out the front door!! If cleanliness and safety are important to you, I would NOT recommend this hotel.

we stayed here for 5 days and it was a great experience. The room was clean, the shower was hot, the bed was super comfy and soft. The breakfast sucked because it was just bagels and muffins due to covid19 and the pool and gym was closed due to covid19 as well but nothing any of us can do about that. It was quite for the most part. Its pet friendly so we heard some dogs barking at night and our whole floor smelled like weed which sucked but the hotel its self is great and I'd stay there over and over again. It was super close to food, restaurants, stores and shopping.

First time passing through here didn’t find anything spectacular about the stay. Every time after was well taken care of. Front staff is very courteous. They do need to replace that kid that works at night. Rude and seems to hate working there.

Everything was excellent. Room was clean and roomy. The only complaint is that the pool was closed for deep cleaning which I guess makes me happy they do such a thing. We asked for recommendations for dinner and were directed to a wonderful restaurant called "Dinner Time". The food and service was wonderful! Breakfast had many choices.

Although there were some issues when I stayed here overall this is a nice hotel. Friendly staff - Military Discount - complimentary breakfast - comfortable/spacious room - decent price- nice decor. The pool is a little small and there isn't much privacy since the whole wall is windows and it's placed in a heavy trafficked area. I stayed in the jacuzzi suite which was very spacious. The jacuzzi in my suite was actually bigger than the one by the pool for all guests. There was also a cute wetbar in the room with a minifridge/freezer. However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep of the room especially since it was a suite. There were stains on the carpet in my living room and bedroom area, a living area light that didn't work, some sort of vent cap from the bathroom ceiling was broken and laying on the counter so there was a big eerie hole in the bathroom ceiling, the wash cloths looked like they had hard water stains on them (any stains on hotel linens is super questionable), and there was some left over liquid/dirt in the jacuzzi (I usually wipe the tubs out anyway but that was pretty gross). I honestly think I just had an unfortunate experience here. Most likely a housekeeper rushing and not being thorough. Unfortunate because it seems like such a nice hotel.

I stayed here back in May 2017 and wrote a view of 4* due to the room being sparse while in renovations, but gotta give it 5* now. Room with king bed and big long sofa was very comfortable. Everything was clean and in good working order. WiFi was strong and TV worked well. Included both fridge and microwave. Front desk staff were very cordial, professional and efficient. Breakfast was good, with a variety of items in a clean, spacious, brightly-lit area. We brought our dog and that worked out well too. Many people were using the indoor pool and hot tub and definitely were enjoying themselves.

This experience was not good. First of all I do want yo give kudos to all hotel's that allow pets that is the only reason I gave two stars. The maid did not have our room ready, she was busy on her phone to do her job. There were coffee stains on the bottom of the furniture and the room was congested with a smell that when I slept I felt like I couldn't breath right. I know plenty of ppl who have dogs and you walk into their apartment and it doesn't smell like dogs run the place. Thank the Lord is was one night. I couldn't do two even if I tried.

Thanks to the manager we were able to have accomodations on a very busy weekend. Having to come to NY on short notice, due to a death in the family, it was good to feel there was someone being helpful in this way. Also the manager and staff took consideration of my wife's physical needs and responded positively to our several requests. Thanks again.

Rooms were much better than expected. Paid a low price but actually rooms very spacious. Recently renovated inside the hotel hotel feels clean and modern.

Only down side is no shower gels available in the bathroom just soap and shampoo which is fine but the soap really dried out the skin.

Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Down falls were bed sheets had a real light stain on them towards the bottom of the bed and bathroom light starts to flicker after it was on for a while. I probably won’t ever stay at any of these hotels again.

Average low budget hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable beds but could be cleaner. We found an old sock on the floor by the bed that was not ours. TV did not work. Pool was nice but the walls had lots of peeling paint that look like it has been that way for a while. The parking lot had large holes so be careful. You have to park in the rear and walk around front in the driveway, carefully or might get run over. Also as mentioned in another post the sign is not seen on the road until you pass it. Breakfast is free was very basic, had waffles and frozen muffins, fruit was not good.

Overall decent for the price.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. It has a pool and fitness room. Unfortunately the pool was crowded all night and the treadmill was out of service. Nice breakfast area and the breakfast was pretty good. There are several restaurants nearby. It was about a 15 minute drive to downtown to Albany. Would reccomend a stay here.
