Avoid being late to the airport with an overnight stay at one of the listed Albany Airport Hotels.
Night staff is amazing. I flew in from Charleston for a funeral and they were very helpful when I called to get a shuttle. They said because it was chilly I could stay inside and they would call me when the cab was on its way. DOWNSIDE: The shuttle was just a cab on a voucher. Smelled like weed and smoke.
But the hotel itself is gorgeous. Very clean and has a nice smell to the halls. Room is very clean and bright.

The employees who check us in and out were extremely friendly and professional! I travel a ton and the employees at this hotel were definitely the kindest. Rooms were very comfortable and clean and parking felt nice and safe.

Nice hotel and the staff are very friendly. They have free breakfast in the morning and a nice pool and fitness area. Room was pretty clean and the area is quiet too. Wouldn't mind staying here again if I'm ever in the area.

This hotel was beautiful and clean. Check in and out were easy and the beds were comfy. The shower was clean with plenty of hot water, too. The only trouble I had was the entrance was not very visible. I passed it once and had to double back, but otherwise the stay was great!

I stayed here back in May 2017 and wrote a view of 4* due to the room being sparse while in renovations, but gotta give it 5* now. Room with king bed and big long sofa was very comfortable. Everything was clean and in good working order. WiFi was strong and TV worked well. Included both fridge and microwave. Front desk staff were very cordial, professional and efficient. Breakfast was good, with a variety of items in a clean, spacious, brightly-lit area. We brought our dog and that worked out well too. Many people were using the indoor pool and hot tub and definitely were enjoying themselves.

I have already stayed at this hotel twice, always booking through the Agoda app and I can truly say that the best thing about this hotel is the customer service, they always try hard to make us feel comfortable and the service is without a doubt the best . This last time I had an incident with the air conditioning and they immediately changed my room and put me in a better one than the one I had booked. I needed to renew for a few more days and they kept me in the better room. The cleaning girls are super kind and sweet, as are all the reception staff.
I recommend it with my eyes closed and I will definitely stay here again.

Gent at the front desk was polite and friendly. Room was clean and modern with all the amenities of a much higher priced hotel. Lobby was clean, with a sleek European look. This ace really surprised me! Would absolutely stay again and recommend.

I accepted a breakfast supervisor job here. Updated atmosphere. The location isn't the best of wanting to go south on 9 back to Albany. You have to go to Troy exit or all the way to the north way (l-87). A roundabout would work good here

Room wasn’t super clean but check in process was smooth. Pet friendly and good breakfast with lots of options

Everything was excellent. Room was clean and roomy. The only complaint is that the pool was closed for deep cleaning which I guess makes me happy they do such a thing. We asked for recommendations for dinner and were directed to a wonderful restaurant called "Dinner Time". The food and service was wonderful! Breakfast had many choices.

This is a nice Inn. It has a good size indoor pool and a nice gym. The continental breakfast was delicious and there was a better variety than most places. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can't beat that.

The hotel is newly renovated. Nice and clean rooms with comfortable mattress and linens. The hotel has nice pool with jacuzzi and gym. The breakfast was included with the stay, however, they do not refill it. During our stay, breakfast time was 7-9 and we reached for breakfast at 8:20am, there was only muffins left and no one refilled it. People were going to Dunkin’ Donuts to get bagels.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. It has a pool and fitness room. Unfortunately the pool was crowded all night and the treadmill was out of service. Nice breakfast area and the breakfast was pretty good. There are several restaurants nearby. It was about a 15 minute drive to downtown to Albany. Would reccomend a stay here.

Amazing Customer Service from all the staff members. Extremely friendly towards me and my dog. Will definitely stay here in the future. Rooms were exceptionally well-cleaned and maintained. Only downside was its kinda hard to find because its tucked behind an abandoned parking lot and burned down restaurant.

Having stayed there many times in the past, we stayed again in August (2023). Service was non-existent, rooms were not cleaned, had to request clean towels, soap, etc. We are definitely looking to make other arrangements for our annual trip to Saratoga.

we stayed here for 5 days and it was a great experience. The room was clean, the shower was hot, the bed was super comfy and soft. The breakfast sucked because it was just bagels and muffins due to covid19 and the pool and gym was closed due to covid19 as well but nothing any of us can do about that. It was quite for the most part. Its pet friendly so we heard some dogs barking at night and our whole floor smelled like weed which sucked but the hotel its self is great and I'd stay there over and over again. It was super close to food, restaurants, stores and shopping.

The room was pet friendly but, you would never know that it ever had a pet in it. My dog was not distracted by scents at all.The bed was super comfortable and relaxing. If you need a get away definetely stay here

One of the cleaner hotels I've been in recently but not the best...love the fact that they have hot tubs in the room and indoor pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast there could have better choices but fine otherwise

The lady at the front desk on the weekends, Nicky, is the nicest and most efficient hotel worker you are going to meet. I swear she cloned herself because she was everywhere getting everything done. We had Lisa as a room steward and she was fire! The room was spotless and she made sure to know if you wanted daily service or to be left alone. She was also super nice to our dog, as was Nicky. I did not get the name of the guy at the desk at night but again he too was incredibly friendly and helpful.
The free hot breakfast never ran out of anything and was yummy. The hotel is super clean. Everyone is very nice. I highly recommend this hotel if you have a need in this area. We were going to the race track about 30 mins away and it was perfect. It is also very close to Albany. There is a bunch of food and shopping nearby on the main road and there was a cute ice cream, mini golf and go cart place by the airport 5 mins down the road.

Our room was attractive and clean, and the hotel was quiet. We didn't have the hotel breakfast as we had other plans, but it looked good (waffles, boiled eggs, etc.)
We stayed here when we were going to an event in Saratoga at SPAC (the Saratoga Performing Arts Center). Saratoga was only a half-hour drive. Staying at La Quinta cost about one-quarter of what a similar hotel in Saratoga cost during racing season.

My roommate and I came up to this location on a whim. We were driving around looking for the Nintendo switch with Animal Crossing details on it and there was only one Walmart in the area that had this. The Walmart in Latham so we drove from Harlem to Latham to get this Animal Crossing Nintendo switch. A long drive but of course we needed. We were of course exhausted afterwards so we checked into this location and thankfully they had some place for us to stay. We did all of the ordering and what not online and checked in sometime after midnight. It was a very quick in and out kind of process. Though the beds were sort of hard we did get a good night sleep

So, this is one of the better location I have stayed at. Staff are great! Pool and lobby areas are very clean. You will find wear and tear but it looks like the cleaning and maintained staff are doing their best to keep up. The rooms were clean, lacking USB charging ports and the TV are smaller and older with an decent channel selection! Beds were ok and they did have enough heavy blankets on the beds. The pillows are small, as in really small, but at least I could steal some from the other bed in my room.

Great place to stay if your having a night away from home or traveling. The facility is within reach of many local or around the area entertainment for adult & family. And, if you have fury friends. My family has 3 in which one is not a service animal the hotel facility has no issues with pets. For a fee of $25 per how every many nights you need with your fury animals they are very pet friendly 😀! Although I didn't bring a cat, they do accept, which most facilities will not. All the best to any and all who might stay at this hotel!
Best Wishes!

After reading the reviews I was skeptical but ended up pleasantly surprised. If I had to think of a complaint it would be that the TV is small. However, the amount of channels available is great. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Very comfortable bed and even better pillows. I was here last Friday night and was surprised how quiet it was.
Full disclosure, I travel a lot for work, stay in a hotel 4 or 5 nights a week so have a a different perspective/level of of tolerance than some of these people that might stay in a hotel a few nights a year. I'll be back.

Great hotel for pets and offers comfortable rooms for a decent price due to COVID-19. Somewhat secured and not too far away from a major highway.

I enjoyed my stay, especially whenever comparing the rate to other nearby hotels. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The only thing I’ll warn people about is the fact that you are directly underneath the flight path for the airport, and you will hear planes, and they will be quite loud sometimes. Never affected my sleep.

Rooms were much better than expected. Paid a low price but actually rooms very spacious. Recently renovated inside the hotel hotel feels clean and modern.
Only down side is no shower gels available in the bathroom just soap and shampoo which is fine but the soap really dried out the skin.

I was initially inclined to give it a “Solid 3” but decided that they’re worth a bump up to a 4 for a few reasons.
1.) There’s always naysayers who over exaggerate a “I wish 0 was an option” over a simple complaint. So, I’ll go 4 to counteract the crazies.
2.) For a “Solid 3”, this LaQuinta is fresh, modern, super clean, inside and out. Even the pet walk area was spotless. So, for a 3-star hotel, it’s fully earned it. A 4-star hotel is a full service hotel with restaurants, etc.
3.) From 1999-2005, I traveled 2 weeks away, 2 weeks home. LaQuinta was my go to brand. Solidly dependable in most locations, except when they purchased or franchises older properties. They lost their vibe in the 2010s. I am so glad to see them getting their mojo back.
4.) The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Their current pandemic practice is to limit the number of people in the pool / hot tub area by signing up for time slots. We made a reservation for 8:30-9:00 but arrived late at 8:45. She still let us in and didn’t chase us out when the pool closed at 9. We weren’t going to milk and left shortly thereafter.
5.) The breakfast was on par for pandemic conditions.
6.) The hotel has a very fair pet policy. No quantity or size limits and a modest add-on fee.
WARNING: The property can only be accessed from US-9 northbound. If approaching southbound, you have to exit right, go around a roundabout and re-enter the highway. GPS strongly recommended. If you miss the driveway, be prepared for a long detour to get back.

Thanks to the manager we were able to have accomodations on a very busy weekend. Having to come to NY on short notice, due to a death in the family, it was good to feel there was someone being helpful in this way. Also the manager and staff took consideration of my wife's physical needs and responded positively to our several requests. Thanks again.

Those people who left a negative review have obviously never stayed at some of the other hotels in the area. I've been traveling back and forth to Albany for a while now and all I can say is do not go for the cheaper hotels. Last time,, let's just say I have never been so disgusted by a hotel room in my life..so, when I got to my room at LA Quinta I was so happy. The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. My son had a good time in the pool and the breakfast was nice too. I can't stress this enough - it is not worth it to go for the cheaper places. Spend the extra $50 and stay here, and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

First time passing through here didn’t find anything spectacular about the stay. Every time after was well taken care of. Front staff is very courteous. They do need to replace that kid that works at night. Rude and seems to hate working there.

We had a king room with a jacuzzi tub and it was everything we were looking for! The room was perfect and the woman at the front desk was the NICEST hotel employee I have ever been in contact with (and I've stayed in numerous hotels). This was perfect for a weekend getaway for a reasonable price and we will definitely be back!

I stayed for a week for business. Overall, really good value, with just a few things holding it back from being exceptional.
THE GOOD: Staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring guests had a good experience.
Room was modern, nicely decorated, clean, good size mini fridge that could fit a gallon of milk easily, microwave. Walls semed to be reasonably sound resistant too. There was a baby crying in the room next door one night, but could just barely hear him/her, and wasnt loud enough to be annoying.
Overall, was one of the quiter and more peaceful hotels I've stayed in in Albany. That prob depends on who happens to be staying there, but for my entire week stay I never encountered any guests acting obnoxious.
Nice extras like free cookies, conference room, indoor pool and hot tub, and the ice machines worked great.
Location is perfect. 2 minutes to a fantastic grocery store. Lots of places to eat and shop nearby. Easy access to the highway and Route 9, Albany, Saratoga, etc.
THE NOT SO GOOD: Their parking lot is like a minefield. There were at least two massive potholes on the side of the building big enough to do tire damage or take off your fender if the car is low enough. Was there for a week and never saw any effort to repair them.
The wifi is horrible. Like 1 MB/Second horrible. It seems to get worse the higher the floor. I was on the 2nd floor and it was basically unusable.
Don't count on sleeping in past 8 AM. For whatever reason it became very loud in the hallways around then. There is also a fire station or something nearby that blasted some kind of incredibly loud alarm or horn every morning around that time.
Soda in the vending machines was crazy expensive. $2.75 for a 20 ounce bottle of soda or water is too much.
Nevertheless, the good far outweighed the bad, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel was still undergoing renovations but from what I did see it is starting to look gorgeous. I love the new carpeting and the lobby was modern with lots of color. The rooms were fairly clean and updated. Only reason for the four stars is that there was some stains on the sides of the beds (bed skirts), our room didn’t have a shower curtain, and when we first walked into the hotel there was dog poop on the wall. But as soon as the staff was aware of these things they fixed it ASAP. Be aware for dog owners that the walls are a little thin, we were able to hear everything the guests above us were saying. I had to keep the fan on all night to keep my dog from barking at them. Staff was very friendly and the location is good. Overall it’s a nice pet friendly hotel that I would probably go to again.

We started I ur journey at the Worst Western, it came with green or brown water in the $300 jacuzzi room. We left, and when we got here we wished we could add a day to our journey. It is incredible in everyday, clean, cute, it stands out from the crowd. Great news, jacuzzi in the room is not disappinting. GORGEOUS! Issues- when I found 3ish used q tips under my couch, they did not clean it for me. Made me clean it. Why do the front desk clerks act awful and give not nearly enough when a guest in the most expensive master suit asked for more body wash, shampoo, conditioner, make up remover. What is really the issue? You'd be asking to if you were rhe guest, is what I want to say.
Will be back, please fox that last issue.

It was hard not to enjoy a huge jacuzzi suite at a great price. The bed was super comfortable. The decor was nice, amenities were very good. I had a few small gripes: bedroom was on the second floor in the front of the building right above the lobby/breakfast area, which was very noisy early in the morning; there were red stains all over the bedroom carpeting and some old water stains on the ceiling; jacuzzi's jets were somewhat weak. A pity because otherwise it was a great experience.

This was a completely unplanned hotel stay that my kids and I will remember forever. Our entire county lost power in residential areas and I wasn’t able to find a hotel closer to home. Chose this hotel specifically because it has the indoor pool and hot tub, but also a great price for an immaculate hotel. Everything was so clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was probably the most beautiful set up I have seen with a great selection. They have a clean, spacious dining area that had more of a cafe feel to it. The pool and the hot tub were exactly what we had hoped for, not too crowded either. The hot tub and pool were both handicap accessible- this is something I love seeing, even if we don’t use it.
All around, a great stay for an awesome price.

The hotel is in very nice shape. Our room was spacious and attractive, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was better than any we have had in hotels for a while. We definitely felt we got our money's worth and would stay there again.
