White Sox at Guardians, AL Division Series: October 3 and 5

  • Dates and times: Game 1 is Saturday, October 3, at 1 p.m. Eastern. Game 2 is Monday, October 5, at 5 p.m. (MLB schedule). Game 5, if needed, is October 10 at 5 p.m., or 8 p.m. if it is the only AL Division Series Game 5 (Guardians).
  • Official parking prices: not published. The postseason page says ballpark policies stay the same. The garage rule lets pass holders in 3 hours before game time.
  • Team's ParkMobile site, October 2: 10 of 38 lots were still bookable for Game 1 at $18 to $48, and 8 for Game 2 at $18 to $46.
  • Gate times: not published.
  • RTA: no series notice yet. A day pass is $5, and RTA guarantees Rapid service home for 60 minutes after the game.

Short answer. The team's own garage, the Great Day Improvements Garage at 650 E Huron Rd, takes passes bought from the Guardians in advance. The team publishes no price: its parking page says prices vary by event. On the ParkMobile site the team links to, lots for Game 1 ran $18 to $48.

Independent garages cost less the farther you walk. For Game 1, SpotHero listed $3 to $75 before fees and ParkWhiz mostly $3 to $50. The $3 lots are about 20 minutes away on foot. The RTA Rapid is $5 for a day pass, with free parking at rail stations.

The team garage and its rules

The Great Day Improvements Garage sits between the ballpark and Rocket Arena. The ballpark guide lists entrances on Huron Road, Eagle Avenue off Ontario Street, and Bolivar Road off East 9th Street. From the team's parking page:

  • Passes are bought on cleguardians.com or by phone, are mobile only, and arrive in the MLB Ballpark app.
  • Entry starts 3 hours before game time, and earlier arrivals are turned away. You can stay until 7 hours after the start.
  • Metropolis now manages the garage. License plate readers log your entry and bill you on exit.
  • Prices are not published. They vary by event.
  • Premium passes enter on Bolivar Road, per the parking page, or Huron Road, per Know Before You Go. Check your pass.

The ballpark guide still names Standard Parking as the operator and lists the garage office at 216-781-1672. Tailgating and RV rules are not published.

Garages and lots on the apps

The team's ParkMobile site. For Game 1, 28 of its 38 lots showed as not available on October 2, including 9 of the 10 within a third of a mile. Bookable lots included MK Honor Lot, 0.27 miles, $37; Dorn, 0.34 miles, $48; Tower City Center, 0.46 miles, $25; and Riverview Lot, 0.5 miles, $18. The team garage is not listed.

SpotHero. The Residence Inn valet, a 5-minute walk, was $75. Garage 8990 at 645 Prospect Ave. E, 6 minutes, was $50. The Halle Garage at 1212 Huron Rd. E, 7 minutes, was $30. Three St. Clair Avenue lots were $3, a 19 to 21 minute walk.

ParkWhiz. The 1801 E. 12th St. Garage, 0.5 miles away, was $8 and the Lincoln Garage, 0.6 miles, $10. Eleven lots 0.7 to 0.8 miles out were $3. Two were far out of line: the North Point Garage at $200 and the Port of Cleveland Lot at $450.

Compare before you book. 515 Euclid was $31 on ParkMobile, $25 on SpotHero and $20 on ParkWhiz. 777 Rockwell was $15 on SpotHero and $45 on ParkWhiz. Both apps sold Game 1 for noon to 5 p.m. SpotHero says its event parking buyers don't need to leave early if the game runs late.

Rideshare and drop-off

  • The Guardians publish no rideshare zone.
  • The accessibility guide says guests may be dropped off and picked up along the curb lane off Ontario Street.
  • The ballpark guide calls the extended right lane on northbound Ontario Street, by the team offices, a drop-off and pick-up zone only.

Getting there on RTA

RTA's game-day page says to park free at a rail station and ride the Red, Blue or Green Line to Tower City. A 1,050-foot enclosed walkway runs from there to Rocket Arena, across the street from the ballpark. The Guardians call it a 5-minute walk, open only during events.

  • The walkway opens at least 3 hours before events other than Cavaliers games and stays open 90 minutes after. Rapid service home is guaranteed for 60 minutes after the game.
  • RTA counts more than 7,000 free spaces at rail stations. The Guardians' guide says more than 8,000.
  • A day pass is $5, good until 3 a.m. Cash is $2.50 a ride, exact change only.

RTA's game-day page dates from February 2025, and its news page had no series notice on October 2.

Accessible parking and drop-off

  • The team garage has accessible spaces for vehicles with a placard and a parking pass, bought in advance or on the day when available. The accessibility guide still calls it the Gateway East Garage.
  • Tell the attendant when you arrive. Spaces are first come, first served.
  • Drop-off and pick-up are along the curb lane off Ontario Street.

Construction and closures

The Guardians warn that state highway projects around the ballpark may affect travel. The ODOT page they link to returned a 404 error on October 2. The city has also warned of lane restrictions for the Memorial Bridges Loop path on Huron Road and Ontario Street. Allow extra time.

What this guide doesn't recommend

  • Arriving early at the team garage. Passes are turned away more than 3 hours before game time.
  • Counting on a close lot. On October 2, 28 of 38 lots on the team's ParkMobile site showed as not available for Game 1.
  • Paying valet prices. On SpotHero, hotel valets 5 to 6 minutes away were $60 to $75. Garages 7 to 10 minutes away were $20 to $40.
  • Booking an outlier. ParkWhiz listed spots at $200 and $450 about a mile out, while lots 0.7 to 0.8 miles out were $3.
