YYC provides various parking options to meet the needs of all airport passengers. We listed all facilities, their locations, and rates:
If looking for the most convenient short-term parking, this is definitely the best option. Two short-term areas are on the ground level of the P1/P2 garage and offer the fastest way to pick up or drop off passengers. The height restriction for vehicles is 6’5’’.
You should use this car park for up to one hour since the rates are significantly more expensive here than in other lots. The fees are $5 per 30 minutes until you reach the daily maximum of $54.95.
Long-term structures at YYC are a middle ground between expensive short-term and cheap economy parking. They have great locations - P1 Long Term is steps away from the Departures level of the terminal building, while P2 Long Term is adjacent to the terminal.
See the driving directions to Parkade 1 and 2 here. Since short-term spots are on the ground level, all upper levels offer daily and weekly parking. The hourly cost is $10, while the daily rate is $27.95. If you plan to stay for a few weeks, use the special discount and pay $99.95 per week.
Since both the P1 and P2 parking facility has a maximum height restriction of 6.5 feet, YYC has a special lot for oversized vehicles. Therefore, if you’re driving an RV or similar large vehicle, you have ideal spaces waiting for you in this lot.
This self-parking lot is situated next to Parkade 1 (P1) and has the same hourly and daily rates as the long-term areas. The hourly cost is $10, while the daily fee is $27.95. If you need a spot for a few weeks, you will get the discount and pay $99.95/week.
The airport has a cheaper service for all budget travelers: Economy Lot, with the best value. The one downside to this option is that it is a 7-minute walk from the YYC terminal, and there is no free shuttle service. However, it is still quite close.
The economy lot is the best choice for extended stays and offers an incredibly discounted weekly rate. There are no hourly rates in this lot. The daily cost is $14.95, while the weekly price is $64.95, which is much cheaper than all the other options.
If you’re picking up passengers at YYC, we suggest you wait for them in this designated waiting area. It provides free spots for up to 1 hour. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. You can pick the passengers up at one of the marked pick-up zones as soon as they arrive. Note that vehicles cannot be left unattended in this parking structure.
Accessible parking is available in both P1 and P2 car parks, as well as in the overheight lot. In the garages, these designated stalls are located close to the elevators. To use them, a passenger must own a disabled parking permit or a license plate. Standard rates apply. Note that an ADA shuttle bus service is not offered to/from any YYC structure.
We compare on-site and off-site car parks with convenient spots for YYC passengers, saving you time and money and making your decision about where to park much easier.
After looking into off-site car parking a quick ride from YYC terminals, we found a few great parking lots with secure services and shuttle buses to the terminals. Listed below are the top 3 off-airport options:
Tip: Be sure to reserve a parking spot at Calgary Airport as early as possible to ensure availability and the best price.
Several great nearby hotels offer free spots and shuttle transportation to their guests who are flying out of YYC. Look into the following accommodation options to choose the one that meets your requirements: Ramada Plaza YYC Hotel and Conference Centre, Radisson Hotel YYC, Holiday Inn & Suites YYC North, Hilton YYC, etc.
In order to avoid paying a fortune, book online one of the off-site alternatives with reasonable rates and shuttles to the terminal. You will save quite a lot by using the off-site options listed above - they are more affordable than the cheapest on-site option. Another possibility is hotel parking - check out which accommodation options offer long-term or short-term parking and find the one that meets your requirements.
