Stayed here for the Kentucky Derby. The location was perfect as parking was only minutes away which provided a quick exit after the races. We were in our room resting within 20 minutes. Rooms were very nice too.

It is what it should be rooms are very clean everything works but they should rethink where they putthe TV in the living room. Front desk was wonderful and very helpful. And the night front guy was wonderful and very down to earth kinda guy. I would say his name but I didn't ask if it was OK. But he knows who he is and you will to if you stay here.

It was wonderful. There was some neighbors that were making a lot of noise in the other room. But I think that they quieted down after midnight so that was good

Manager Mark Kuiper deserves recognition as does the staff. We ran into a few problems during our stay. A resolution was made and Mark made sure that we were comfortable. How encouraging to see a manager pitch in with the staff to make positive change. Very pleased with our stay.

This hotel is located in a great spot and is conveniently located to downtown Louisville and other local venues. There is a free shuttle that will take you within 3 mi of the hotel as well as to and from the airport should you need it.

There is a full breakfast every single morning and Mindy, the weekday girl is fantastic. She is super friendly and definitely goes the extra mile to make sure that you have a good meal to start your day. There is laundry on site as well as a very large lounge area at the main entrance of the hotel. There's a fireplace and a big screen TV and plenty of areas to sit and relax or work if that's what you have to do. The gym is well appointed and very clean. There is also an outside grilling area with a built-in grill and adequate seating.

The room that I stayed in was quite spacious and while the bed was a little bit small for my tastes, it was incredibly comfortable. The extra bonus that I really enjoyed for this room was that it has a full stove / oven versus just a cooktop like many other Residence Inns have. As with all the properties, each kitchenette area is fully appointed with silverware, pots pans and cooking utensils as well as a full size dishwasher and garbage disposal.

These are all must haves if you are staying long-term .

From what I understand there are only a few rooms at this property that have full oven/stoves, so if this is something you need, trying to arrange it well ahead of your stay

The bathroom is a bit small, but that's really not a big deal. The closet space is adequate and there are plenty of dressers and areas to store your personal belongings. I especially like how the TV swivels 180 degrees so you can face it towards the bed or turn it towards the desk or sofa.

While there are many positives there were a few negative takeaways.

Parking can be great or it can be horrible depending on what is going on in a local area. The Kentucky exposition center is just down the street, along with Univ. of Louisville. Events and sports season means packed hotels, which means limited parking.

Dust- I don't think that there's anything that the hotel can do specifically other than preventative maintenance. I noticed that dust would build up incredibly fast to the point where I was wiping down all of my surfaces every single day. When I first arrived and noticed this, I mentioned it to the front desk and asked that they check my filters on the AC unit. There was a heavy accumulation of dust on the door jamb to the in room AC unit, which is locked.

I assumed that somebody from maintenance addressed this issue because the next day it appeared that the door jamb had been wiped down and was clean. Regardless, I don't know if it's the area but if you stay long term you will see dust build up.

Wi-Fi/Internet- The property claims that they have hi-speed Wi-Fi and I even saw something about gigabit, but this is simply not the case. On a good day, I was seeing 7-8 Mbps at best. Some days, it seemed as if it couldn't get over 2-3Mbps. To top it off, there is no hard wired internet; or ethernet ports in the room that work.

Laundry- I stayed in the main building and there is only one laundry room with four washers and four dryers. These units are commercial grade but they are very small. Also welcome back to the '80s because they are coin operated. Each load costs $1.50, same for the dryer. While the washers do a good enough job there is only one dryer, the one on the left, that will completely dry your clothes in one cycle. So if that dryer is not available, plan on spending at least $3 to dry one load.

Something for management to push up to Marriott, I think that laundry should either be free or less expensive than it is. At that, I feel that once you are platinum or higher, laundry should definitely be a perk, especially for a longer than a few weeks.

One last thing... Room 301 vibrates regularly. Weird.

I spend over 3/4's of the year in hotels and I pick Marriot when at all possible. This location will definitely be a top pick next time I'm in the area.

We came to town for one night for our son's wrestling tourney. We booked a one bedroom suite. Our bed was super comfy, the pull out couch wasn't amazing, but it's exactly what you'd expect from a pull out couch. Our son, 15, slept out there and hubby and I took the bedroom. The only thing I'd say to be aware of is that to get to the bathroom you must walk through the bedroom. Not an issue, but something to be mindful of. The shower was soooo good! As hot as you can stand it and amazing water pressure. Our experience was great. I did know the airport was close so I brought my box fan that I sleep with and turned it on medium to help drown the noise, but the hotel has earplugs right beside the bed if the noise is an issue.

The ladies that checked us in, about 930pm, were super sweet and friendly. We asked for extra blankets and the ladies quickly provided them with a smile.

Breakfast was great! Very surprised by everything offered, besides the normal juice, coffee, cereal, bagels, waffles that you typically see they also had sausage biscuit sandwiches, eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, oatmeal, fresh fruit and more! Lots to choose from!

Security was on site and we saw them several times. We didn't try the pool, but it seemed like a nice area with a gas grill. The gym looked clean and spacious with quite a bit of equipment. They have an outdoor basketball court and the lobby has balls available.

I'm sure I'm missing stuff, but like I said we arrived late and were gone by 8am. We felt safe and would absolutely book this place again!

I stayed here during covid in 2020, the staff was incredibly friendly and always accommodating. That said, due to the fact I stayed in 2020, I had ordered multiple packages from Amazon and had them accidentally shipped to this address without even realizing it.

I spoke to a manager by the name of Mark and he went ABOVE and BEYOND to ensure that I got my packages. They were important presents and I was leaving out the country in a few days. He kept in contact with me throughout the weekend and even gave me updates. He was incredibly helpful and I'm very grateful to all his help. To any management (or anyone else reading this), employess like Mark are few and unfortunately, becoming more of a rarity.

Thank you Mark for your outstanding customer service and thank you Marriott for hiring such a remarkable employee.

Thia is a short and extended stay hotel. We stayed 2 night here and the room was really nice. The bed is really comfortable. The studio room we stayed in was really well laid out and comfortable. John Goodman the manager was really great and made sure our stay was a great experience. Will definitely go back when I'm staying in Louisville.

The rooms are very nice and well equiped. We made several dinners while there and it was nice to have a kitchen. The free breakfast was outstanding and they even had a free reception food and drinks on Wednesday which was a nice surprise. But the best feature of this hotel is the staff! Quite possibly the nicest most friendly staff I have encountered at any hotel ever!

The room was nice, and the staff professional and friendly. Nice looking exterior with lots of trees and grass, almost looks more like a row of townhouses or apartments than a hotel.

Nice place, we had a great experience.

Phenomenal service during a HUGE Girls Basketball Tournament. Hundreds of guests and front desk staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The Residence Inn shuttle to the Kentucky Exposition Center was CLUTCH. We saved a ton of money on PARKING! That means alot to US AAU families who spend upwards of $700.00 a weekend, while traveling EVERY WEEKEND for three months straight in one year! The morning kitchen staff magically kept the breakfast bar fully stocked as well as kept the dining area immaculate. The outdoor seating area with a fire pit came in handy because the night temperatures called for it. And the added BONUS was the Basketball hoop outside where my daughter and her teammates were able to get in their 200 shots for the day.
