This airport is really nice. This airport is smaller than Florida’s major airports but still is big on the inside. Within the terminal, there are mostly places to get snacks but there is a lack of restaurants. In addition, our gate agent was quick with scanning our boarding passes. The seating areas can get crowded sometimes but fortunately these areas are clean. The TSA team is very friendly as well.

It was a ghost town. All the shops were closed even the Starbucks. Never seen that empty. The bathrooms were very clean.
UPDATE: This morning it was quiet, but besides some internal construction, the airport is back up and running mask free. Store are stocked and the employees seem happy to be back to work.

The City of Palms is located in Southwestern Florida on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River. Most visitors go to Fort Myers for the deep-sea fishing, the golf courses and the famous white sand beaches and islands that line the Gulf Coast. A renovation of the city's downtown waterfront promises new restaurants, clubs, shops and galleries. Attractions include the winter estates of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, as well as nearby

I really like this airport, a very efficient design with rental cars right across the street. Navigating the airport was straight forward and there is plenty of room capable of accommodating the inrush of large groups as planes ✈️ come and go.

Only reason I ever fly out of Fort Lauderdale or Miami is because there are no flights to the Caribbean here. Excellent for other places

I fly in and out of here four or five times a year. Always very clean.Staff nice and very helpful. It's a small airport, but has a really nice layout. Easy to find your way around. You also have good options for food & shopping. Love that you can actually watch the plans land and go without having to purchase a ticket. Wonderful place to get the kids imagination going. Security is easy and pretty fast. You have all the major car rental companies and the city bus. I've used all the transportation options from the car rental to uber and always been smooth sailing which ever I choose. Been good mask compliance!

Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is a major county-owned airport in the South Fort Myers area. The airport serves the Southwest Florida region, including the Cape Coral Fort Myers, Naples-Marco Island and Punta Gorda metropolitan areas. It currently is the second-busiest single-runway airport in the United States. This airport can be classified as a mid size airport.....not to small and not too big either. It would be recommended to here at the TSA check-in atleast an hour before your flight and you should be fine even if they are super busy. All the terminals are within one huge contiguous building. So you can walk from one end to the other not worrying about getting on shuttles. The airport is maintained very well and clean. It has a 3 level parking deck for short term parking right across the airport as well.

We love this airport! It is very clean and we always get right through the check-in process and get to our gate with no issues. Everyone wears a mask and stays social distanced as much as possible. It is a beautiful airport. The drop-off area for departures is easy to use as well as the pick-up area for arrivals. I highly recommend RSW Airport!

Concourse B Review - For those newbies to this airport, Yes, Southwest Florida International Airport is the same as Fort Myers airport (can be a little confusing). In Concourse B There’s only one sit-down restaurant (Boardwalk Cafe) and the food was ok. The Boardwalk Cafe was very busy at lunchtime. Also there is a Burger King, Great American Bagel, and a Starbucks on this concourse.
There’s not enough seating at the gates, so you may need to sit elsewhere at another gate if you arrive late.
The airport is east to get through, security was rather quick. Not much walking required here. Car rental garage is also very close to the airport, no shuttles needed to get there.
Temperature inside the airport was comfortable, and the seats were also rather comfortable. The service from the employees was very good and they were very helpful and kind.
There are several little shops if you want to do some shopping on concourse B. I would recommend this airport to anyone interested in flying to Fort Myers. Hope this was helpful!

As far as airports go this is definitely one of the better ones. It’s generally well organized, kept very clean, and is easy to access.
I have almost never had an issue at this airport except in the most extreme situations. Even when long security lines form they tend to process them pretty quickly.
The area prior to going through security is extremely spacious which helps on busy days. There are also a few good food/drink options here such as Starbucks.
This airport mainly loses a star because it/the terminal is really small and the options for food/shops are not great. Honestly some of the worst I’ve seen at any airport.
Lots of seating though and charging areas which is always appreciated. Also lots of bathrooms which I think is essential in any airport.
This is an international airport but it doesn’t feel that way. It’s not as bustling as somewhere like JFK but it does its job just right 👌

My family actually loves this airport! We are from Naples so it’s convenient as it is Close to I75. The TSA process is usually fast and they are some of the nicest TSA employees I have ever interacted with which makes the process so much smoother. I admire them for the work that they do they do not have easy jobs. In the event that we have a super early flight at times, we may want to stay at the airport the previous evening, and if that is the case, there’s also lots of nearby hotels & restaurants. Restaurants vary in price so you can eat at you. One dollar restaurant all the way to a five dollar restaurant. Fort Myers is a nice area and the airport is not that far from the beach. It is a very clean Airport and we always get right through the check-in process and get to our gate with no issues. You no longer need to wear or stay socially distanced but at my most recent visit to the airport I did see several passengers wearing mask. The drop-off area for departures is easy to use as well as the pick-up area for arrivals. The cell phone lot is highly lighted before family members who are waiting for their loved ones to arrive from a flight. I highly recommend RSW Airport! Nice airport.

Southwest Florida International Airport is convenient and clean. Before moving to Southwest Florida, this was my airport of choice even if it meant driving further. The jetBlue terminal has at least two restaurants that serve a wide variety of food and there is also a convenience mart. Upon my last visit, the security personnel were all very friendly. If you're visiting Southwest Florida for vacation or returning as a "snowbird", I highly recommend using this airport for both your departures and arrivals, which will surely say, "Welcome home".

Though I don't fly that often, RSW is a great airport to be in when it comes to air travel. The terminal is very clean and well kept, especially for an airport. The gates and boarding process are simple for their respected airlines; and the staff and security agents are courteous as well.

My favorite airport. So clean and inviting. I know paradise is close when we land here. Love it. The best place to visit hands down. Great little shops at airport while you wait near your gate. Good times. Easy to navigate. I pushed my grandma easily through the whole airport in a wheel chair. All the way from enterprise car rental drop off, to baggage drop, through security and to our gate after hitting the shops of course. Very well laid out and easy to use. Floors are smooth and easy to push the wheel chair. Very pleased with the experience!! Made it easy to travel with my 82 year old grandma from Columbus OH to fort Myers!!!

Such a great airport, especially because of its size ( not large like Tampa). Easy in and out & convenient access to rental cars & drop off. They kept announcing that masks are required under Federal Law, however there is no federal law enacted regarding masks, a mandate is Not a Law, so that really needs to be corrected to avoid potential lawsuits.
Otherwise, it's one of the best airports with the most courteous employees!

Nice airport a bit better than Tampa. This airport is a decent size and it’s run very well. It has plenty of seating, clean gates and walkways, and has some nice little shops with great signage. The staff from every gate is nice and friendly and TSA is great and runs great. Each airline owns a few gates which is easy to locate your gate for your flight. Will definitely keep flying here whenever I visit Florida!

Love Watching the Airplanes Come & Go... Great parking spot near the runway! KEEP IN MIND: Lots of Security/Safe Place/No Funny Business in that parking lot! 👍Note: Be aware of the Birds around and their droppings.

Southwest Florida International Airport is a relatively easy airport to navigate. It is not too large. The airport is clean and well staffed. The airport offers many shopping and dining options before one goes through security as well as some dining and shopping options beyond security. I have encountered limited parking at the airport as departing passenger. I have also encountered limited short term parking when picking up out of town guests. Overall, RSW is an airport that I would recommend for travel to and from SWFL.

Very nice airport. Love how it's very easy to maneuver. Only downside is there aren't many food or beverage places in the terminal prior to flight (so wait times are longer).

This airport is extremely easy to use. There is plenty of parking, and the gates are just a short walk from the main entrance and ticketing area.
Security was a pleasure. The lines were not too long. The TSA agents were friendly and helpful.
There are plenty of places to eat or get last minute souvenirs.

Really clean and nice Airport. Friendly staff. The airport is only about 15 minutes from Bonita Springs! Shorelines at security and check in. Convenient taxi stand located right outside the airport with clean, luxurious cars with professional drivers. We need more airports like these in america!

The South West Regional Airport (RSW) near Fort Myers is one of the more pleasant airports we've had the opportunity to use.
It is an international airport, although more than 90% of the traffic is probably local. There are international connections only to/from Canada and one to Germany.
We'll fly from here with the major U.S. airlines, led by American Airlines, United and Delta, and Alaska Airlines, but also low-cost airlines like Southwest and Spirit. The route network is also impressive and covers almost the entire United States.
The airport is very compact, and the staff is pleasant and friendly.

One of the cleanest, nicest, and well-run airports I've been to, and I've been to a lot.
The second floor is for departures and arrivals on the first below. Most of the big-name car rental companies are a short walk across the way. Never crazy busy despite being an International Airport. They are planning an expansion soon. Definitely will fly out of again.

It’s a really small airport and we got here about 90 minutes before our JetBlue flight.
The check in agents were really helpful and kind.
There are only a few options for dining but they have alcohol at most times of the day and the Starbucks line stayed short all the way up to our plane departure.

Great airport... baggage claim was quick when landing. The baggage check and security check was also quick when arriving. If you heading to Naples, Marco Island, or Ft. Myers it's a good place to fly into.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). The airport is clean, well-organized, and efficiently managed, making travel a breeze. The staff is friendly and always ready to help, from check-in to security to baggage claim.
The layout is intuitive, with clear signage that makes navigating through the terminals straightforward. The security process was smooth and quick, with TSA agents who were professional and courteous. There are plenty of comfortable seating areas, charging stations, and free Wi-Fi, which is great for staying connected and productive while waiting for a flight.
The variety of dining and shopping options is impressive for an airport of this size. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a sit-down meal, there are numerous choices that cater to different tastes and preferences. The local souvenir shops also offer a nice selection of unique items.
Overall, RSW provides a pleasant and stress-free travel experience. I highly recommend it for anyone traveling to or from the Southwest Florida area. I look forward to my next visit!

As of 3Aug2022, the airport is back to full throttle. Every staff member we came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and seemed to enjoy being back in the grind. The ticket agents moved the lines quickly with smiles. The TSA agents were moving things through quickly and were helpful and friendly. The gate desk agents were precise and helpful. The store clerks were busily moving about keeping customers happy. The flight crew seemed excited to have us on board. All in all the trip was wonderful.
