Ok, the service and hospitality here is phenomenal! The staff are awesome on all levels. The housekeeping was amazing and kept us fully stocked on items. The front desk gave so many options of things to do. The breakfast was hot, fresh, and wonderful. They truly cared about the people passing by. Would definitely stay here again!

The decor for the room was very modern, almost felt like a Hilton. I liked the Dove branded products in the bathroom instead of tiny wasteful bottles. Plenty of parking, but it was slightly noisy at night given the close proximity to the highway. Breakfast selection was decent, but the overuse of plastic and styrofoam at breakfast so heartbreaking!

IHG took over this property from another hotel. They have completely renovated it. It is very modern, clean and I love it! The beds are so comfortable, new heating and air so they work great with no noise. I will definitely be back.

Room was great, we ended up changing as the ones on the outside edge (not facing the pool) have A LOT of traffic noise, the pool side rooms didn't hear any. Also our AC unit in the first room was REAL loud and squeaky. Breakfast was great and the pool was good as was the fitness center. Perfect for business, we were here for daughters freshman orientation at UofL and the campus is only about a ten min drive. They also have airport shuttle service if needed

Great convenient location. The rooms here are very clean, updated, and tidy. Any time I stay here, I'm very late. The staff is always very friendly even though it's the middle of the night. Many times they even check me in before I arrive so I don't get caught by the overnight computer audit. SO many IHG hotels DON'T do this and I'm stuck waiting 15 or 20 minutes when all I want to do is crash.

Breakfast was great, we enjoyed everything but the sausage. Wish breakfast was available earlier since its one of the closest hotels to the airport. Decent parking with good lighting. The rooms were clean and the shower was really nice. The only complaint is that our AC just wasn't keeping up. It was pretty warm at night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pricing was decent. I do recommend this hotel, but if you get placed on floor 4, your room will probably be warmer than you'd like.

Rooms were clean, good quality, and comfy. Staff was good. The building is just really old but they’ve done what they can to keep things nice and classy. Breakfast was awesome; those iconic cinnamon rolls 💯 . The location is a little rough but not the worse. I drove to a nicer thortons down the road for gas. There also was a loud party happening downstairs; it was a Friday night. There were lots of college students staying so hallways were a little noisy. Not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but wanted to note.

Rooms were ok. The breakfast was ok. No bacon. It was close to where we're going. The check-in time was 3 pm. We showed up at 5 pm. The lady in front was told we weren't cleaned yet. We were told we would have to wait to see what rooms are clean. Check out time 11 am. So I'm not quite sure what was going on. She seemed frustrated with the staff but handled well. The girl who checked us was good at her job. Never rude always helpful. With attached to expo center expected better from hotel.

Hotel was close to the highway exit. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Hot breakfast with a working pancake making machine! They even have turkey sausage! Beautiful dining area. Clean rooms and hotel facilities. I really like how the bathroom soap, lotion and shampoo dispensers are secured to the wall which replaced the sample size soaps and tiny lotion bottles! 👏🏾Nice working fitness center. Swimming pool is outside.The front desk attendant, Will, was super nice! Keep up the good work! 👏🏾🤗👍🏾🫶🏾

Check-in was quick and easy. The room itself was as expected, except the bed which was hands-down the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Seriously. One odd thing for the room was that the air conditioner blew directly across the desk chair, so anytime I wanted to drop the temperature in the room, I was met with the frigid air of the arctic.
Breakfast was fine, with hot dishes rotated over the course of the week. There was always plenty of food and coffee, the latter of which was still available at the end of the day.

Typical Holiday Inn with decent rooms and amenities. Shower curtain missing some grommets which hold it together and the bed was hard as a rock and actually hurt to lay in overnight. Beds should he the focal point of the hotel. After all, the main reason for staying in a hotel is for an overnight stay. Nothing special, really. TV had a good guide but not all channels were available. Would probably opt to stay at a different location next time I visit

2 night stay. The room was nice, the bed was good. I am a tall person so my legs hung off the end. It was a king bed so I had room to move around. There's lots of space to store clothes. The bathroom is spacious and has nice amenities. Breakfast was good, not amazing. Lots of choices in food items. They have a really small room for market items. I never used it but it didn't look very full.

Stayed here one night beds were comfortable and staff was kind upon check in. The breakfast was amazing! The lady working the breakfast area this morning 8/23 was so amazing. She was kind, giving tons of suggestions for my picky toddler while interacting with him, constantly cleaning and stocking. She was magnificent.
However, the elevator, hallway to our room and room floors were definitely neglected. There was trash left from previous guests, tub was peeling pretty bad, carpet was stained and had some splatter on the walls. Overall the cleanliness would be a reason we would not stay again as a first choice. This place definitely has lots of potential though!

Checked in October 16th for an event my daughter had at Sullivan University. Stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Luck be have it we were less than a mile away, practically across the busy street from the dorms she had to be at so we were very close! Not far from the university either so location was perfect for us! My mother is handicapped so we asked for an assessable room. She is paralyzed on her right side so we were thrilled when we got into our room and the assessable bathroom was built for a left handed person! It is so hard to find handicap public bathrooms with the safety bars on the left side and not only were they on the left for the toilet, they were in the shower as well! The shower was great for her with a sit down bench and a shower head on a handheld sprayer. Water temp and pressure was amazing and I loved just standing there when it was my turn. The room was big plenty of room for her wheelchair and our luggage without feeling claustrophobic. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Even had a chair she could comfortably sit in and get out of, which is also rare. The lobby was massive, it was clean, and very new looking. Breakfast was your standard Continental breakfast with cheesy omelet options, sausage patties, sausage, gravy, biscuit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, and a pancake maker. Also had fresh coffee and juice. If my daughter ends up going to school in Louisville, this is for sure the hotel we will be staying at when we visit!

The hotel was clean, that's always #1 and they totally delivered. #2 our beds were super comfortable, I didn't want to get out. #3 it was really quiet and I love that. Good water pressure in the shower. It was conveniently located near Kentucky Kingdom and the mall. There are places to eat within walking distance as well. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Louisville.

This was a solid Holiday Inn Express experience. Everyone was very nice, the location was convenient for us and a cinnamon bun for breakfast makes everything better. The only bad thing with the room was the bathroom door would not close properly...the latch and strike plate were about an inch off. If we join the Cardinal family, we'll be back.

Minus one star for breakfast. Needed at least one gluten Friendly item, maybe Cheerios and gf bread. Only one choice of fruit, no bananas. PLEASE have cream for coffee, not just chemical whiteners. It would also behoove the hotel to have more than one toaster. I would not use the breakfast option next time.
We also had an issue at check out. We were unable to use $500 in Visa gift cards as your system declined them all. This cost us an extra $222CDN as we'll now pay the exchange rate on our Canadian credit card. We had not intended to use credit. Subsequently, those same cards worked fine at other retailers.
