Soft bed, clean, friendly staff, better than most econolodge breakfast.
They need more upkeep as most of this chain does. Cracked toilet lid, obvious issues hanging pictures and toilet paper holder, some patches in wall and door, TV remote held together by tape.
I would still stay there again.
I give it one star for the availability. I had to wait 30 minutes to get into a room because the key wouldnt work. Then the room has stains all over the wall, dirty toilet seat, and someone's hair left on the stand.
Decent place to stay for $50 a night but don't expect much
My flight cancelled Friday night at about 1130pm. AA put up about 35 people in the Econolodge. When we got to the hotel there was only 1 person behind the desk. Her name was Maria. She was so pleasant and efficient as she checked in a lot of upset people while also answering questions and taking phone calls. It had to be very stressful yet she showed only friendliness and professionalism to all. When we checked out the next morning she was still there. She was again cheerful and friendly. What a great employee. She made a bad experience (cancelled flight) better.
Affordable price but the room is clean, amenity goods are enough. The staffs are friendly. Free airport shuttle is available.
But laundry facility(laundry machine) is not equipped , so you need to wash clothes at bathroom.
Only good aspect was the cheap price of my one night stay.
After being assigned a room, the door to the room had a “do not disturb sign” on it and I heard people talking inside (clearly was not housekeeping because it stayed this way for my entire stay). I went to the staff with this issue and they said that no one should be in that room. They were able to assign me to the next room over. The new room had a broken tv remote and was held together with tape. Also the room had water issues. The water that came out of the shower was only steaming hot. No cooler or just warm option, even when moving it all the way to the cold side. The sink water was only hot too. My key also didn’t work for the fitness center.
The one thing that I can recommend this place for is the fact that it has a free shuttle van from the airport in Charlotte. The room was not overly clean and the only toiletries in the room was 3/4 of a bottle of mouthwash and 2/3 of a bottle of lotion. No shampoo or conditioner. The coffee pot in the room was stained Brown. The air conditioning heating unit was Rusty. Outlet covers cracked. There is a busy highway right beyond the Edge of the property so always Highway noise.
We stayed at Charlotte Airport for the Costa Rica to see my daughter. My daughter will be going to Costa Rica after New Year's. They have great customer service and a outdoor pool that is for summer only. It takes a 5-7 minute ride from Charlotte Airport to Econo Lodge Inn & Suites. The next trip from Charlotte to Costa Rica is now.
