On-Site Parking

Pittsburgh PIT Map

PIT offers several regularly patrolled and secure parking areas for both short and extended stays. Check out all the structures and choose the one that suits your financial and other needs:

PIT Lots & Rates

  • Gold Key Lot
  • VIP/Valet Service
  • Short Term Parking
  • Long Term Parking
  • Extended Economy
  • Cell Phone Lot
  • Coupon Parking

Gold Key Lot

The most convenient facility is also the most expensive, providing an ideal option for frequent travelers. So, if you often travel on business and search for a short-term garage, this might be the best option. It offers hourly, daily, and monthly fees with a short walk to the landside terminal.

Follow the “Arrivals” signs, make first right before Baggage Claim, and then another right to reach the entrance. Daily parking at the Gold Key lot is available through online reservations. The maximum daily rate is $30, while the monthly lease rate is $300, all taxes included.

VIP/Valet

Just a little more affordable than the Gold Key structure, the PIT Valet Service is perfect for passengers in a hurry. It will provide a fast service that will save you from circling the airport in search of a convenient space. No reservations or appointments are necessary.

To reach the Valet kiosk, enter the rental car garage and follow the Valet sign on the 1st level, which is next to Hertz. All you need to do is leave your car with an attendant, and you will be free to go. Car detailing and other services are available, too. The daily rate is $29 plus tax.

Short-Term Parking

The best area for short stays is the PIT garage located immediately across from the terminal building. We suggest you use it only if you need a spot for up to several hours. It offers many covered spaces that will keep all the vehicles safe and weather-protected.

It is very convenient for picking passengers up or seeing them off, thanks to its direct access to Transit Level. The hourly rate is $2 for the first 60 minutes, and each additional hour costs $4. The short-term garage price is $26 per day.

Long-Term Parking

This large parking location behind the short-term garage is designed for travelers with carry-on luggage going away on short trips. It is not the most inexpensive long-term option, but it is cheaper than the garage and conveniently connected to Transit Level via a moving walkway.

Thanks to this walkway, there is quick access to the terminal area, which means that this is also a great choice for shorter stays. Hourly and daily prices are available, and the following rates include all taxes and fees. To use the long-term lot, you have to pay $3 per hour or a maximum of $16 per day.

Extended Economy Parking

Passengers traveling on a low budget will definitely be glad that PIT offers this option. The extended economy lot is the cheapest of all on-site facilities. So, if you are going away for several days or weeks, use it. It is farther from the terminal, but a free shuttle service runs to/from the lot.

This area includes the Cell Phone Lot, and that’s why the first hour is free of charge. After that, you pay $2 for the second hour, after which the daily rate of only $8 applies. All taxes are included, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All major credit cards are accepted.

Accessible Parking

Handicapped parking spaces are available in all garages and lots for anyone with a disabled permit or ADA license plate. Passengers with disabilities are entitled to the lowest rate regardless of which lot they park in. To receive the designated discount, exit through a lane marked either “Open” or “Cash Only.”

Oversized Vehicles

All travelers driving oversized vehicles do not pay standard rates. Vehicles over 20’ to 40’ in length must pay twice the daily rate, while those over 40’ must pay three times the daily rate for the surface lot they park in.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

PIT does not provide stations for electric vehicles, but luckily, you can find several nearby. So, if you plan on charging your vehicle, check out EV charging stations near PIT and choose the one that fits your route. The closest ones are about ten minutes away from the airport terminal.

Off-Site Parking

We compare off-site and on-site lots to save you time and money and make your decision on where to park your vehicle easier.

After a thorough search for the best off-airport services, we have come to a great conclusion — there are several off-site lots even cheaper than the PIT Economy Lot. Below are the best options just a few miles from the airport. You can see the starting daily rates, as well. Check them all out before making a final decision, and note that all of them offer shuttle buses available with online booking.

Off-Site PIT Parking Deals

  • Quality Inn PIT Airport — starting at $4.35 per day;
  • Sheraton Pittsburgh Airport Hotel — as low as $4.75/day;
  • Globe Airport Parking — daily rates start at $6.75;
  • AirMarino Airport Parking — starting at $6.95/day;
  • Charlie Brown's Park & Shuttle — the price is $7 per day;
  • Pit Stop Airport Parking — rates starting at $9.99/day.

Is Off-Site Almost Always the Best Value?

When it comes to major airports, off-site areas usually offer much cheaper rates. Even though PIT has quite affordable economy rates, you can find a more cost-effective choice in the area. If the price is the most important, and you wish to cut your costs as much as possible, look at the off-site lots to find the most suitable valet or self-parking area.
