How much does it cost to park at Pittsburgh Airport?

The Allegheny County Airport Authority publishes two prices for each lot: a drive-up rate and an "as low as" rate that applies when you reserve on its PARKatPIT site at least seven days before you park. The gap is not small. Reserving a week out takes a third off the Shuttle Lot and $10 a day off the two terminal products.

All rates exclude the 11.5% tax, and the posted rates apply to everyone, including drivers with disabled placards or plates. Payment at the gates and the walkway pay stations is digital only; cash is accepted at the cashier lanes in the exit plazas, and the airport's PIT Express Pass lets an E-ZPass transponder pay for parking the way it pays a Turnpike toll.
What changed on November 18, 2025: three old lots became one, and the Short Term Garage closed
When the new terminal opened, PIT combined the former Long Term Lot with the surviving parts of the Economy and Extended lots into a single Shuttle Lot, closed the entire old Short Term Garage, and opened the Terminal Lot and Terminal Garage beside the new building. Anyone navigating from a pre-2025 guide is looking for lots that no longer exist under those names.
The Shuttle Lot is the budget product and the only one that requires a bus: there is no sidewalk from it to the terminal. The authority bought eight new 35-passenger shuttles for the opening, tripling the previous capacity, with kneeling floors for wheelchairs, strollers and heavy bags, and it quotes a ride of under 10 minutes to the departures level. Free Level 1 EV charging is available at 10 spaces in the Shuttle Lot and 33 in the garage, first come, first served, with your own cable.
Two smaller changes matter for pickups. The Free Wait Lot replaces circling the curb and is free for the first hour but has no terminal access, and the Hyatt Regency on Airport Boulevard runs its own shuttle to the new terminal with a small short-stay lot for guests checking in or out. Oversized vehicles and trailers are prohibited in every on-site lot.
Off-airport lots near PIT: from $4.99 a day, all within five miles
Four off-airport lots near Pittsburgh International take advance bookings from $4.99 per day at the Airport Lodging lot on Market Place Boulevard to $9.95 at Charlie Brown's Airport Parking in Coraopolis, with Globe Airport Parking at $8.95 the most-booked of the group on ParkingAccess over the last 90 days. Charlie Brown's, 1.6 miles out, and Globe, 1.9 miles out, both sit within two miles of the terminal.
Reservations carry a $5 booking fee and can be cancelled free up to one hour before drop-off. The Microtel Inn & Suites lot on Chauvet Drive is also bookable at $9 per day with a shuttle every 30 minutes, but it carries the lowest rating of the four, 3.3 stars.

Charlie Brown's earns the higher rating and sits closest, at 1.6 miles, for a dollar more. Airport Lodging is the price leader at $4.99 but is a hotel lot 4.6 miles out with a 3.5-star history, which is the trade you make for the cheapest number on the page.
Original research: seven days at PIT with the 11.5% tax applied to every airport lot
With tax included, a seven-day drive-up stay costs $296.59 in the Terminal Garage, $218.54 in the Terminal Lot and $93.66 in the Shuttle Lot, while the same week prebooked seven days ahead costs $218.54, $140.49 and $62.44. Globe Airport Parking at $8.95 comes to $62.65 for the week before its $5 booking fee, within 21 cents of the airport's cheapest prebooked price, and without the seven-day notice requirement.
Method: we multiplied each published PIT rate by seven days and by 1.115 to add the tax the airport excludes from its posted figures, then did the same for the four off-airport lots, which quote pre-tax "from" rates. The comparison is like for like: no booking fees on either side.

Two conclusions. First, the tax is the number most travelers miss: it turns the $38 garage into $42.37 a day and adds $30.59 to a week there. Second, the airport's prebooked Shuttle Lot and the two best off-airport lots land within about $7 of each other for a week, so the choice among them is about the shuttle you trust and how far ahead you know your dates, not price. The Terminal Lot at $18 prebooked is the sleeper for anyone who wants to walk: $78 more than the Shuttle Lot for the week and no bus.
The seven-day rule: why PIT's cheapest prices need a week's notice
The "as low as" rates of $8, $18 and $28 apply only to reservations made on PARKatPIT.com at least seven days before the parking start, and the authority's Terminal Lot summary adds that its $19 pre-tax rate also requires a stay of seven days or more. Book six days out and you pay the drive-up price.
That rule is what separates the airport's lots from the off-airport ones in practice. A traveler who decides on Tuesday to fly Friday cannot get the $8 Shuttle Lot rate at all; the choice is $12 plus tax on airport property or $8.95 at Globe with a $5 fee. The airport does allow cancellation of a reservation any time before it starts, so a speculative early booking costs nothing to undo.
Availability is the other reason to reserve. The airport's own pages carry live open-or-closed status for each lot, and the Shuttle Lot, as the cheapest product at an airport whose Terminal Lot and garage together hold more than 6,000 cars, is the one most likely to show as closed on a holiday weekend.
Pittsburgh International Airport: one terminal, three lots, and the 10-minute bus
Pittsburgh International sits at 1000 Airport Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15231, with a single landside terminal that opened November 18, 2025 and is served by the Terminal Lot and Terminal Garage on foot and by the Shuttle Lot by bus.
