Last verified: October 27, 2026, against Pittsburgh International's parking and accessibility pages. The oneBURGH reporting is dated October 26 and 27, 2026. Availability changes by the hour, so this page reports what the airport publishes and what a local news team found, not a standing condition.

A local news team, oneBURGH, reported this week that families struggled to find an open accessible space at Pittsburgh International. The airport says its lots meet or exceed the legal minimum. Both can be true on different days, so here is what PIT publishes, what the fallback costs, and how to avoid arriving to a full lot.
oneBURGH reported that it could not find an available accessible space in the Terminal Lot when it checked, and that at 2:30 p.m. on one visit the lot was sold out with the entrance blocked. PIT told oneBURGH its lots meet or exceed the legal minimum for accessible parking (oneBURGH on Facebook, October 26 to 27, 2026).
PIT places accessible spaces near the shuttle shelters in the Shuttle Lot, next to the walkways in the Terminal Lot and next to the elevators in the Terminal Garage, with van-accessible spaces among them (PIT parking page, October 27, 2026).
| Lot | Where the accessible spaces are | Getting to the terminal | Drive-up rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shuttle Lot | Near the shuttle shelters | Shuttle about every 10 minutes, under a 10-minute ride, 24/7/365, wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant | $12 a day |
| Terminal Lot | Next to the walkways | 3 to 5 minute walk | $28 a day |
| Terminal Garage | Next to the elevators | 3 to 5 minute walk | $38 a day |
PIT states that the posted parking rates apply to all patrons in all lots, including individuals with disabled placards and license plates. Some third-party guides say disabled drivers pay the lowest rate, $8 a day, in any lot; PIT's own page does not say that, so do not plan around it (PIT parking page, October 27, 2026).
If you believe a discount applies to you, ask PIT before you travel. The accessibility page lists 412-472-3525 and [email protected] (PIT accessibility).
If the Terminal Lot's accessible spaces are full and you move to the Terminal Garage, the drive-up price goes from $28 to $38 a day, about 1.4 times as much, and about 3.2 times the Shuttle Lot's $12. Over five days that is $190 in the Garage, $140 in the Terminal Lot and $60 in the Shuttle Lot before tax. These are ParkingAccess arithmetic from PIT's posted rates.
| Lot | Drive-up per day | With 11.5% tax | 5 days before tax | Advance rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shuttle Lot | $12 | $13.38 | $60 | from $8 |
| Terminal Lot | $28 | $31.22 | $140 | from $18 |
| Terminal Garage | $38 | $42.37 | $190 | from $28 |
