Cincinnati Zoo Parking Lots

The Cincinnati Zoo is surrounded by four self-parking lots open to the general public:

  • Vine Lot on Vine St.
  • South Lot on Vine St. and Louis Ave.
  • Corner/North Lot on Vine St. and Erkenbrecher Ave.
  • Dury Lot on Dury Ave. and Rockdale Ave.

The main Cincinnati Zoo parking lot is Lot A, which offers plenty of spots shaded by solar panels. The panels power the zoo and keep the cars cool and weather-protected in what would otherwise be a scorching lot on summer days.

Parking tends to be hectic on weekends and during holiday breaks, but the staff tries to keep traffic flowing smoothly. To avoid the hassle and traffic jams, arrive before 11 AM or after 3 PM. Parking in all lots is obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis.

How Much Is Parking at the Cincinnati Zoo?

The official Cincinnati Zoo parking cost is $10. You can pay for your spot at a zoo ticketing window or within the parking lot when you head home. All zoo-affiliated parking structures accept both cash and credit cards.

You may get discounted admission and rides if you’re planning a group tour or school trip. To discover the cost for your group, check out the Group Discount page.

Accessible Parking

The best parking option for guests with disabilities is the main lot on Vine Street, which offers nearly 30 covered ADA parking spaces. Any visitor with a disabled parking placard will be able to park in Vine Lot even when it’s full. Show your permit to the attendant, and they will direct you to the nearest spot.

The best alternative is Lot B, marked as South Lot, while Dury Lot and Corner Lot don’t offer handicapped spots. The zoo also provides wheelchair rentals, and you can get one by reaching out to any parking attendant.

Street Parking Near the Cincinnati Zoo

On-street parking spots are available within short walking distance of the zoo, but it’s usually hard to find a street stall in the vicinity. We suggest that you get there early—preferably as soon as the zoo opens—and circle the area to find the closest street spot. Finding an off-street private parking service cheaper than $10 will require a rather long walk; so, if you arrive after 11 AM, your best bet would be to use one of the official nearby locations.

Taking Public Transportation to the Zoo

Thanks to Metro bus services, traveling across Cincinnati and Hamilton County is painless. Several bus stops are located on the streets surrounding the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden; they are served by one or more bus routes, including 24, 38, 46, and 78. A local bus fare is $2.

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is placed 18 miles from the zoo. Learn more about Cincinnati Airport Shuttle providers if you want to arrange a ride to or from CVG.
