SFO Parking Long Term

Parking is expensive at pretty well every major airport but some are worse than others, especially San Francisco Airport (SFO). SFO has some of the most expensive airport parking in the US.

SFO Parking

There are some ways to reduce your costs though. Let's look at some tips for saving money on SFO parking.

SFO Parking Options

You have several options for parking on-site at San Francisco Airport:

  • Hourly lots for the domestic and international terminals
  • Long-term lots
  • ParkFast
  • ParkValet
  • Cellphone waiting lot

Hourly Lots

Both the domestic and international terminals have hourly lots located nearby. These lots cost $2 per 15 minutes up to a maximum charge of $36 per day.

If you're picking someone up or dropping them off, these can be the most convenient and cheapest lots since you only pay for the time you're there. If you're parking for any length of time while traveling, they'll be one of the most expensive options.

Long-Term Lots

The long-term parking is a bit less convenient. It's located farther from the domestic terminal with a shuttle that will take you back and forth. It's about an 8-minute ride and the shuttles run every 5 to 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Expect to need 20-30 minutes to get to the terminal.

Long-term parking is a little cheaper. You'll pay $2 per 15 minutes up to $18 maximum per day for both the surface lot and the garage. If you're parking while traveling, this is the best option at the airport.

ParkFast and ParkValet

ParkFast is a dedicated covered parking section on level 4 intended for quick access. This lot also costs $2 per 15 minutes but the maximum cost per day is a little higher. You'll pay $40 if you're a member of ParkFast or $42 if not.

ParkValet is valet parking, also located on level 4 of the domestic garage. This option costs $45 for the first day and $2 per 15 minutes each following day, up to the same maximum of $45.

It's not intended to be used for parking while you pick someone up, let alone overnight.

Off-Site Airport Parking

You can save quite a bit of money by parking off-site. Park 'N Fly SFO is only $17.90 per day. They offer a free shuttle to your terminal that runs every 15 minutes.

You'll get valet parking, assistance with your luggage, and you can book your reservation online. They'll even wash your car for you while you're away!
