As the main airport of Guatemala, La Aurora International Airport serves its capital city, and it’s the fourth busiest airport in Central America. GUA is approximately a 20-minute drive away from the Guatemala City center.

The official Guatemala City Airport parking structure is located right across from the airport terminal building and offers easy access. It has three levels — two levels provide covered parking spaces, while the third one has outdoor spots. Whether searching for a long-term or short-term parking spot, the main lot is a perfect choice due to its safety and convenience.
For stays of up to 16 hours, GUA charges Q20, which is around 2.50 USD. After that, the maximum daily parking rate applies, and it’s Q100 per day (~12.80 USD).
Rates are in Guatemalan quetzales, and passengers can pay for GUA parking via cash or major credit cards. Several ATMs are available in the parking areas. Also, you cannot reserve a car parking space at La Aurora Airport in advance; it’s available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Accessible Parking Disabled parking at GUA is available for both short and extended stays. These spots are placed in front of the main terminal, as close to the entrance as possible. Passengers who use them must display a disabled parking permit or placard. Standard parking rates apply.

Budget travelers almost always decide on off-site parking rather than on-airport parking. Even though La Aurora Airport parking is convenient and reasonably-priced, it may be expensive for extended stays. There’s a great off-site parking lot within short walking distance from the terminals called Parqueo Juan Pablo II.
