Halifax Stanfield International Airport is a Canadian airport in Goffs, Nova Scotia, a rural community of the Halifax Regional Municipality. It serves the Halifax area, mainland Nova Scotia and adjacent areas in the neighboring Maritime provinces.
YHZ Airport offers several parking options for both short-term parking and long-term stays. Each parking structure is designed for one of the two options. Listed below are all parking facilities and their rates:
People coming to YHZ to pick up an arriving passenger will find this parking area very useful. Conveniently located on levels P1 and P2 of the Parkade, it is ideal for short stays. See the airport map above to easily access the Parkade, and then follow the “Hourly Parking” signs to enter.
It is a covered parking facility - so, your car will be protected from all weather conditions. Use Lower Level tunnel access or P1 Level Footbridge to access the airport terminal. The rates are as follows: $3 for every 30 minutes for the first hour and then $4 per hour. There is no daily maximum.
The Parkade has several levels and a designated long-term parking area, too. Look for the ‘’Daily Parking’’ signs and park on Level P1, P2, P3, or P4. Apart from the rooftop P4 level, other floors are covered and secure. YHZ vehicle parking is available on a first come, first served basis.
Passengers driving oversized vehicles should note that the maximum vehicle height is 86 inches (7’1’’). The short-term rates are the same: $3 for every 30 minutes for the first hour and then $4 per hour. The daily rate is $22. Note that it will be $23 after January 21, 2020.
If you need an airport parking lot cheaper than the Parkade, the surface Exterior Lot is the right choice. It is just a short walk away from the airport terminal building, and you can access it by following the “Exterior” airport parking signs. There is no free shuttle service to/from the lot.
Terminal Exterior Lot is one of the best on-site public parking areas for extended stays due to its prices. Even though the hourly rates are the same ($3/each 30 minutes for the 1st hour and then $4/hour), the daily and weekly rates are more affordable: $19 per day and $95 per week.
The Park ‘N’ Fly parking lot is definitely the best long-term option situated a few minutes from the terminal. To access this car park, turn right after Tim Hortons and follow the parking signs. We suggest that you use it for extended stays since it provides the cheapest rates so close to YHZ.
Don’t worry that it is farther than other parking structures - shuttle bus service runs to/from the airport 24/7. There is no hourly rate, and the daily flat rate is $16. If you want to park for a couple of weeks, there is a discounted rate of only $80 per week! This means that your daily rate will be less than $12 for longer stays.
Halifax Stanfield Airport provides wheelchair-accessibility to all areas of the airport terminal building, as well as other accessibility features, such as accessible airport shuttle transportation. Accessible parking spaces are available, too. All passengers have to own a disabled parking permit or license plate. Standard parking rates apply.
There is no free Cell Phone Lot, but you can pick up passengers on Arrivals Road, and drop them off on Departures Road. Take a look at the airport facility map for directions.
