The room was okay, clean and adequate, but this is a very large motel and the rooms towards the back will enjoy the sounds of the Amtrak trains running all night. And the walls are not particularly well soundproofed. The grab-and-go breakfast was fine.
I've always had Superior service at this Hotel, Everyone is very attentive and the rooms are warm and comfortable, They use good soaps and shampoo and have a breakfast station room where you are served a bag with a fresh egg puff from a bakery delivered fresh every morning a fresh piece of fruit a bottle of water and juice and a fresh cup of coffee a danish as well as a bowl of oatmeal if you request it all included as part of the room booking at no extra cost. As someone who was raised in the hospitality industry to a family who owned restaurants I give this place 5 Stars , I am specifically pleased with Vicky the hotels director of sales who made a point to made sure everything was perfectly accommodating. She is in my opinion the biggest asset to this historical Spanish style resort.
Wasn't here but 1 night, but when I come back to this area, I plan to stay here again.
Very accommodating to needs. With a smile and the only person working the desk, some in line were getting impatient, but that is their problem. The line moved quickly.
Disappointed the shuttle and restaurant were closed, but that is due to the mandate by the governor, not them.
Room was clean. Bed comfy. All amenities otherwise in room were in working condition.
We stayed in a family suite that was much bigger than expected. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the kitchen was remarkably helpful. Staff was very sweet and it was a great place to come back to after a long day. Definitely would stay here again. :)

It is old, but pretty clean. Definitely a budget hotel. The beds are very soft and the pillows are too worn. We only paid about $100 for the night so it was ok for such a low price. No microwave.
I stayed here after having no choice after my Airbnb cancelled last minute and I have mixed feelings about this place. First off the rooms smell bad. I stayed here two nights and both nights I woke up with bad bites. I lifted up the bed mattress but couldn’t tell if it was bed bugs or not. The fridge comes in handy and also the essentials they provide for you. Also the parking seemed to be safe no window break ins while I was there. Also don’t stay here with children you can hear people clearly on the other rooms and it’s uncomfortable.
All of the staff was very accommodating, easy to contact, and friendly. We really appreciated their care and concern in making sure that we had a comfortable room for our family. Anna was amazing, and we felt welcomed from the moment we checked in. Parking was free and convenient to the rooms, and any extra towels or requests from the front desk were always taken care of promptly.
Very clean rooms. Some new carpet and a microwave in the rooms and I'll give it 5 Stars. Near the railroad crossing so you will hear the whistle when CalTrans passes by.
This hotel does not reflect the Best Western Signature Collection. It just looks good on all the pictires on the website. Front desk may need re-trainings for customer service. Management should rethink its services how to go up and beyond, specially for traveling guests who may need some extra services like, asking to use a microwave.

This part of the hotel is aces there is a kitchen-ette-ish has a microwave, sink, and mini-fridge with a table and chairs for a sit down type of situation. There's a huge living room space with a pullout sofa and sofa-chair with a bedroom with two queen sized beds a family of 6 can enjoy comfort and functionality! No problems!
Simple room but very clean. Equipped w coffee maker w coffee packs, ref and flat screen tv. as well as 2 double beds.
Very friendly team at the check-in.
I like this hotel I just checked in but it has everything I like!!! Free parking and if A family member visits they don't have to pay for parking! I like outside rooms so u can go right out to your vehicle and not travel thru the whole hotel and lobby it's right outside! Nice friendly staff and places close by to visit. This is the best hotel I found in California so far and definitely will be back!!! It's not a high end hotel u can tell by the price but definitely not dangerous or full or druggies

I liked the cozyness of the place but what made me not like the stay was that they didn't have a microwave and the shower didn't drain well. For the same price I could've gone somewhere else. Will not be coming back to this place.

I was trying to book a reservation online. I contacted the hotel to inquire about using my debit card attached to my apple wallet. The lady who answered the front desk ph did not even know what apple wallet was and rushed me off the phone. She assumed she knew that I wanted to book a room with either cash or without a credit card. Online debit cards are acceptable. I would have been infuriated if I paid for 14 nights with my debit card online only to be denied the room at check in. The king room is about $1000 for 14 nights. I’m so glad I called ahead and had this rude brush off experience before we paid them. I think the room is refundable, but it would have been highly inconvenient and disruptive to our plans. Thanks for nothing.
I was impressed with the staff here! They were so accommodating and friendly. The room was clean (minus a couple stains on the carpet) the location is ideal, they're right by the 101, a ton of places to eat as well as a cute little town that you can walk around and feel comfortable. I'm from the east coast and have been to Cali a handful of times and I can say that without a doubt this was my favorite trip thus far. Great hotel, great people. I would return in a heartbeat
Tried to stay here 4 nights. Checked out after 1 night.
The hotel lets people live here and they are comfortable. Smoking outside their rooms in chairs. Letting kids skateboard up and down the halls. Arguments with guests since they live here. They treat it like an apartment. And there were people partying in the back all night. Not a family friendly hotel. Im surprised it had 3+ stars. Very deceitful
El Rancho Inn is a great place to start your vacation. It's minutes away from the San Francisco Airport. You can park your car there and have a good night's rest in a clean and comfortable room. Highly recommended!
Hotel is typical of the hotels on El Camino Real. Room was clean but there were some minor maintenance issues that needed attending in the bathroom. Very convenient to SFO which is why I stayed here. There was a small fridge in the room and a Safeway a few blocks away so I was able to easily procure and keep provisions.
Good hotel. It is more or less an upgraded motel at a very convinient location. There is no microwave in the room. The hotel is very close to the airport.
From our first contact with the doorman through the checkout everyone we came in contact with was five star or better. Found beds to be very comfortable. Very clean and well maintained rooms!!
love this hotel! I am kinda stingy when it comes to paying for hotels but I don’t like staying at dumps. This place is GORGEOUS! It’s incredibly beautiful and they have low end (1 queen) & higher end (suites). They have a lot of amenities and the best part? The manger/owner is INCREDIBLY AMAZING! His name is Roy and he is so sweet and so kind and accommodating. STAY HERE!!!!! I love it!!
Had a great time. Grounds were nicely kept and the staff was friendly . Rooms were clean. Kids enjoyed the pools. Would come back for sure!
Great place quiet the staff is super nice not knocking your door down 15 min till checkout would be better if they accepted cash
I've been staying here for decades and had both good and bad experiences. With covid-19 no shuttles or room service. Room was decent & $15 a day for car park and fly
Rooms are big and clean.
Nice and close to the airport only a 8 minute drive ,clean rooms lovely air-conditioning and very tidy bath soaps and free coffee in the rooms even gave me bed and breakfast early due to covid

It was beautiful, very clean, spacious, and the staff were both helpful and personable. They made me feel comfortable and welcome after a very long drive to be on the area for my neurology appointment which greatly decreased my stress. Thank you.
Only paid $75 so it met my expectations. It is a signature Best Western so maybe I was expecting more. Building is old and dated looking. Nothing exceptional or fancy. During covid expect pools/fitness/breakfast to be closed, but that's everywhere. They did give us a breakfast bag to go. Bad is no microwave in room.
I would give it five stars but none of the rooms have a microwave and the refrigerator does not get cold
Nice room. Wooden window slats nice touch. Mini fridge. Quiet. Will be coming back soon.
This is our second time staying here and I must say that it's a nice cozy spot. The breakfast selection is wonderful plus it's close to the airport and quiet. For the price it's clean and accommodating.
Nice place and big rooms with bargain price in the area. Also lots of space for parking. However, depending on who works at the lobby, you might experience not-so-great staff attitude
Very clean, good service. Breakfast was really good but they didn't have much to choose from. The TV didn't really have a lot of channels and wasn't super high quality. The train was pretty loud next to it too
My boyfriends surprise V day evening for me was a nice time. I didn't want the stay to end. The restaurant was pricey but the food was good and the free breakfast in the AM made up for the dinners price.
Check in was super fast and staff was very friendly. Josette in particular was wonderful. We were leaving early around 4:30am to go to the airport. She asked if we needed shuttle service but we had our own rental car to return. We asked if they had breakfast to go and she presented a brown paper bag with 2 apples, 2 waters, and 2 granola bars. The hotel is very large and has a spanish Acapulco feel to it. It's a very good hotel for the price, quiet location even though it is located on El Camino Real. Full sized closet, comfy bed. Mini fridge, tiled bathrooms. I asked for an extra blanket and maintenance zoomed across the parking lot at 9pm in his golf cart and placed it in the room before we even got there! He was kind and friendly and courteous.
The service here is impeccable (coming from a person who has also worked for years in upscale hotels in the bay area, take it from me).
We didn't try the pool since it was February and we had to be up early.
I didn't take any pics of the bed since there are many pics already online.
Room clean and bed very comfortable. Shuttle service is great. Only problem was my shower had low low water pressure-not sure if just my building or all we were in building 100.
Wherever I travel I always try to stay at a BW hotel as they are always of great quality and good value
I am very pleased with this particular hotel. I still do not 100% understand what makes a BW hotel Plus/Premier/Signature etc as sometimes there is hardly any difference
The El Rancho is a Signature collection
Check in is quick, easy, very friendly staff
Parking is free. The rooms are great, usual amenities. I had a very good sleep, the bed was awesome
Breakfast is great as usual, but no waffles!?
SFO is around the corner and the hotel offers a 24/7 shuttle which is great
I will stay again
Not a bad place but sort of don't understand all of the rave reviews. Rooms seem clean but definitely very dated and I would describe as "musty." Was able to park right outside my room which is a plus. Can't comment on breakfast since we departed for the airport too early. A little further from airport than I anticipated, 10+ minute drive to rental car return.
Free and easy parking. Clean and comfortable rooms with high quality beds, sheets and pillows. Very nice free breakfast.
Easy way to make sure you have long term parking and get to the airport on time. Was gone for two weeks. When we returned vehicle was covered with sticky brown substance (soda?) but was intact. Breakfast was fair. Upon return to the airport the hotel phone was down so couldn't call for pickup, had to wait until shuttle arrived- not something you're happy about after traveling 30 hours.
Very helpful staff. Reasonably comfortable bed and some nice amenities for the price - breakfast buffet in addition to in room coffee/tea, soaps, mini-fridge to store any leftovers or drinks you want to keep in the room (although they have what looks like a good bar on site too), and decent towels. Nice hot water with good pressure.
Amazing 24/7 airport shuttle and excellent breakfast to really get you going. Hotel was clean and prepared to go upon our arrival and checkout was a breeze. Excellent service thank you!
Please...nothing but bogus reviews here. Tiny, extremely dated rooms. Maybe the loudest hotel I've ever been in (even though I requested the quietest room they have available). Only moderately clean. I had my son and 5 year old grandson come down from the city and we couldn't eat at the hotel restaurant because they didn't have a kids menu. AND, I was gouged for almost $350 for a night!!
I will say that the breakfast was fine, and I was picked up by the shuttle from the airport (even though it was 30 minutes later in arriving than I was told over the phone).
Nice hotel with shuttle service to San Francisco airport. You can hear the planes but is not annoying. Rooms are clean and big enough.
Breakfast is good and sufficient but plates and cutlery are plastic disposals, but many people just leave the mess on the table. Pity for that part. More personnel during breakfast hours would make it a 5 star
Great option near SFO. Shuttle from/to airport works 24 hours. Rates are honest and, after all, this is a Best Western, so you know what to expect. It's easy to eat nearby and you can also reach several stores in a walking distance. Anyway, for this kind of hotel all you need is a clean room and a shuttle to/from the airport. And that you will find here.
This place was not at all what I expected. It was pretty charming. It's also far bigger than I expected. All the rooms open to the outside, motel-style. Mine was in a far corner facing away from the parking lot. Picturesque with a flowering bush right outside my door. Only challenge was that, as a single woman traveling alone on business, I was a little nervous walking by the men smoking weed in the parking lot to get to my rather remote part of the complex. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, and it was large enough for one person. Might have been tight with a family. The restaurant/bar was in the center of the complex a few minutes' walk from my room. The bar food was sub-par but the bartender was friendly. Overall, it was a nice place and I would stay again. However next time I will request a room a little closer to the center.
Very nice hotel, the cleaning staff respected my privacy the entire stay, and the room was wonderful!
Want to sleep on a cloud? That is what the beds here are like, the pillows.. Oh the pillows..
Showers have good pressure and not once did I run out of hot water.
Everything was clean and well kept, the A/C was easily sufficient for the room size.
The only issue was a side window in the bathroom sun room was stuck open meaning th bathroom vented the cool inside air and the noise of outside bled through a lot more.
Overall a very nice stay!
El Rancho Best Western provides an outstanding service to travelers who need a place to say before flying out and a safe place to leave their vehicle. The staff is very professional, quite friendly, and on the several times we have used the sleep/park & fly service we have never had a single glitch arise. It has an excellent restaurant, clean rooms, and it's right across the street from SFO.
Shuttle was really quick. Came in less than 10 minutes from me calling from the airport. Had a decent breakfast. My only disappointment was not being able to do a lunch there. I wanted to do a quick lunch before my flight but the restaurant does not open for lunch.
Very cozy place! Enjoyed our stay there. Very clean rooms, good services, breakfast included and wonderful! Really recommend this place to stay. We’ve spent 4 nights and whole our group enjoyed it
We chose this hotel for the park and fly option. The hotel and rooms are old but clean and well kept. Service was good. Breakfast buffet was real busy. There's a lot of rooms here so the breakfast room can get crowded. Quite area with tons of good restaurants and shopping. One thing I have figured out is you get to test drive your trip supplies and suitcase packing while still in America. So you quickly figure out what you forgot or need. This morning were heading to Walgreens to pick up a few items we forgot. This I believe is a huge plus to this park and fly.
We recommend this Best Western El Rancho Hotel.
