I stayed here for a week when my son was getting married. They were very accommodating even during all the Covid policies. Very friendly staff and valet parking guys.
I travel quite a lot for work and one thing you really don't want to have to worry about is whether you will have a comfortable and stress free hotel to return to at the end of a long day.
The Cambria in downtown White Plains had that covered.
I'll start with the parking situation because that is your first stop. For this hotel, parking is essentially the first impression for the place. I generally attempt to find some sort of parking option that is self parking with the hotels I visit for work because I am in and out of the hotel so frequently and multiple times a day and night. This hotel only has valet parking. There is no self-parking option associated with the hotel. There is a large parking structure around the corner attached to the shopping center but I am not totally sure on the hours and such. It is a pay by hour garage but again, not sure if it is open 24/7 or not. I never noticed.
Straight from the airport, I pulled into the entrance and was met by one of the awesome valets, Tyron. He greeted me right away, was very professional, and helpful. I asked him whether they ran the valet 24/7 or not. The valet is open from 6 am until 10 pm (double check if you are outside of those hours but I believe that's what they told me)
I knew that my schedule was going to involve being gone until after midnight most nights and Tyron reassured me by telling me he would pass the info on to the other valets so they would all be aware and that they would leave a space in the holding area there for me to put the car when I returned. He advised me to just park it there, give the keys to the front desk, and they would take care of it.
The entire valet team (and I'm sorry I didn't get all of their names throughout the week) were great.
The hotel is very clean inside and well kept. Everyone I engaged with at the front desk was kind and helpful.
Philip checked me in and got everything all set.
The rooms are clean and spacious. There's a nice area to sit and watch tv or work. There is a separate counter area with the coffee maker, fridge, and microwave which was nice. I try to go get some healthier grocery options and such to keep in the room so I'm not just constantly eating out while on the road (and especially for the extremely late nights when I get back and everything is closed).
There is a concierge line that you use for everything. I'm not sure exactly how quick it was but within a few minutes of getting up to my room and settled, I had a text from the front desk asking if everything was good with the room. You can text the number any time if you need anything for the room and you also use the number to text your ticket number whenever you need your car. The valet ticket says to allow 15 minutes but I never waited once. I always tried to give the 15 minutes but even if I didn't, the valets always beat me out there.
I don't want to miss any of the people I engaged with by leaving them out but I want the hotel to know that every single person I encountered was professional and kind.
I also had a quick interaction with a member of the housekeeping staff. I didn't want to just leave a big grocery bag of trash in my room so I asked her if there was somewhere I could take it. After we worked through the fact that there was a language barrier, I did my best to speak Spanish with her (thanks google) and she insisted I didn't need to worry about that.
Like I said, Great experience, check in to check out.
This is already a novel but I have to mention the area.
Perfect spot. You can walk quite literally right outside the door and have all kinds of food and shopping options. There are several restaurants right there underneath the hotel (on street level), if you walk about 30 seconds, you will see a mall that has a shop rite, target, movies, etc. Go about a block and a half down Main Street, make a left and that entire street is full of food options.
Very nice hotel! Extremely convenient to downtown White Plains. Comfortable room, clean, quiet. No food service or bar during Covid restrictions but many dining spots very close to hotel and easily walkable.
Great hotel. Parking was $30 extra. Breakfast isn't included in the price, $20 per person... very clean, friendly staff. Juan at the front desk was very nice. Thanks.
All my 16 nights at the hotel were so perfect. The staff were so nice to us! Having 5 teenagers was a lot of work for the staff but they did a great job in making us feel at home. The White Plains train station , shopping malls, cinemas, and restaurants are a walkable distance. The hotel was so clean! The rooms had great space. It was really a home a way from home!
Nice hotel... Very nice comfy rooms. Location is great too. 3 blocks away from good places to eat.
Rooms are kept clean at All Times. Clean. Staff is Nice. Local with everything in walking distances... Everything!
Wonderful service! The room was clean and very beautiful. Didn’t have any issues with checking in or out.
Service is incredible. They were doing testing of their fire alarms and the elevators were down. The hotel manager personally drove us to the train station immediately. Plus gave us free breakfast buffet as an apology. Unbelievable. Highly recommend it.
The rooms are big and comfortable. There's a sitting area with a desk to get work done too. It's good for a getaway or a business trip. There's also on site valet parking.
What a beautiful place 🥰 so clean and nice 👍
I absolutely loved this hotel. From the shuttle driver to the valet, and to the front desk staff...just an amazing stay. The rooms were spacious and very upscale. Well done.
The doors slam loudly if you're neighbors are considerable then it's overall a good stay and local eateries and not too far from the city.
Always clean! Gorgeous comfortable suites! Love this place!
Very good value. Good location. Super close to food and close to hospital. There are some bars around if you are into covid parties. :) Special shout out to Danielle. She was working the front desk and is the consummate pro. I don't think I have seen anyone visibly smile from underneath a mask but I could tell she was. I am certain due to covid and a slimmed down staff she was wearing multiple hats and having tasks she didn't sign up for and she did so with grace. She genuinely enjoys helping people. Also Rovi, I think is his name, was super friendly. Sean Meade the GM was very good too. Oh and also the engineer who was doubling as a valet was fantastic! The room it self was very good. I was here for 5 nights dealing with a hospital visit. I'm glad I picked this place.
My stay was amazing! Juan, the front desk was very helpful with recommendations for activities on a Saturday night!
I love our overnights at the Cambria! The rooms are wonderful and the service is just amazing. There's always so much going on at the hotel, especially the modeling events. Another thing I love about this hotel is the fact that it's very close to the Strip where there is so much shopping and restaurant choices.
Was in town for the night. Very convenient location. Room very clean and staff very friendly and helpful.
Great accommodations. Felt like a star while there. Staff was super friendly. Definitely going back for a longer stay.
Great rooms and event center! The toilets make a lot of noise, im not sure if this is air pressure or the building is set up on a septic tank system of some sort (its an older renovated bldg) so I wouldn't be surprised.
The front desk people are super nice and caring! I love the fact that during covid they only 2 people on the elevator at a time and they have hand sanitizer to use all over the place.
It's great place and it's VERY clean!! I will definitely come back here again!
First and foremost, I want to commend the honesty and integrity of the staff at this location. Only after flying home did I realize I'd left my expensive earbuds in our room--a pretty easy thing to just "not find," which has been my experience at some other hotels. I called, and was told that they had already been found and logged. I emailed a shipping label, and had the earbuds back within a week. That was a great cap on a pleasant stay.
The hotel itself is very nice. Beautiful lobby. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, comfortable, and perhaps most importantly: the water pressure is great.
The location is also great. Steps from coffee, shops, and restaurants. And a short walk to the train that you can take into the city if you so desire. I would absolutely stay here again.
Room was well appointed. Beds were comfortable. Restaurant was closed but there were several great options within a 5 min or less walk.
room 818 not a real 2 bed room suite... one bath... one bedroom.. open divider for other bed area... stains on couch... no robes...shower did not have glass doors... paid $412 with parking... but lobby was bright modern fresh design and the staff super! we would stay again
I had complications because I did not book my room directly through the hotel. Nevertheless, Shantel (the representative at the front desk) resolved the situation quickly and professionally! She's a problem solver with award-winning customer service! After working 16 hours, I just wanted to rest and she understood that. When in NY, I wouldn't stay anywhere else...this hotel is reasonably priced, super clean, located at the center of everything, modern, smells great, and has very large rooms. I highly recommend this place. No need to look or stay elsewhere !
Nice Newer hotel good location walking distance to Mamaroneck where the restaurants are. Nice decor throughout. Would give it a 5 but I don't get that welcome feeling. Most hotels I stay at that are are this level the valet or door man or even the front desk attendant at least says hi and looks like they are in a good mood. I know it's tough out there but that smile might change someone's day month year even life.
I went here for a conference my company partook in and its a very clean beautiful hotel. Service and staff were great! Knocked off a star because the wifi situation was pretty bad and impacted parts of our show
Checked into the hotel 20 minutes ago, so far so good. Will update again.
11/25 checking out today, this is a great hotel, well located, super friendly staff with excellent service, definitely stay here ag!
Good hotel, but seems light on staff at night, had to wait 10-15 minutes for a bartender
An amazing hotel. Have stayed here many a times- of course the last time was pre-Covid. Travel for work, from Dubai. The location is perfect. The staff are perfect. The breakfast is amazing. It is within walking distance to almost everything- Target, restaurants, you name it. Will always stay here when in White Plains.
Beautiful CLEAN rooms. Excellent valet and reception service. Friendly staff. AC that works. What more can you ask for. Sean and his team really know what they're doing.
Nice rooms with modern and comfortable furnishings, functional spaces and lots of space. Can't wait to stay here again ♡
Stayed there on 6/17/2023, and arrived at midnight. The front desk clerk was extremely nice and helpful. I wish I would have got his name.
The service was excellent. Ravi, the front desk attendant, was so helpful and made our stay feel like we were at home! He’s a great guy and deserves a promotion! I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it is reasonably priced and immaculate!
Love this hotel! Friendly service comfortable room
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and very spacious. I had plenty of room to work when I needed as well as to watch TV and relax. Staff was friendly too.
I have beenany times. All rooms are nice suites, in good condition. Personal in very attentive and friendly. They have a small gym and a pool but if you want, they also have an arrangement with a bigger gym nearby. I have not tried breakfast but looks good. Around the hotel there are many places to eat. All this with a very reasonable price, so what else can you expect!
Very nice room, quiet. My only disappointment was that it took almost 10 minutes for the water in my shower to get warm. Plenty of places to grab a bite within walking distance and of course there's Doordash etc but don't expect the hotel to tell you about any of this. Parking is $25 for your entire stay, good if you're staying for an extended time or have activities planned during your stay.
This place was CLEAN, cozy & the bathroom was SO beautiful.
Everything stays quiet, so there's no disruptive atmosphere. I couldn't hear my neighbors, so that means the walls aren't cheaply thin.
You get a desk, a fridge, a couch & chair (in a double). Good lighting, full length mirror. Just a nice place with friendly staff.
It's a couple of blocks from the mall, has a MYRIAD of restaurants all around it- and a shopping complex connected that has Target, Nordstrom's, a grocery store & a few others I can't quite remember.
My husband and I went for a Valentine getaway and this was just what we needed. The room was cozy and clean. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There are plenty of places in walking distance to grab a bite to eat and Target is right around the corner if you need little things. The parking is $25 for your entire stay which isn't bad at all. My only issues were that the water took a some time to warm up in the shower, the refrigerator wasn't really that cold but did keep my things cool and I had to look for the restaurants etc on my phone as the hotel did not provide any of that information. I will surely revisit this establishment.
Nice hotel in downtown White Plains clean and well maintained. Just staff needs to acknowledge guests better.
My second time staying here and they lived up to my expectations once again. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The text system they use to greet you and assist with any issues is awesome. Had an issue with my TV's and within minutes, someone was there to fix it and it was fixed! Can't wait to go back
I enjoyed my stay at Cambria. They have taken all of the necessary Covid 19 precautions to ensure that the guests are safe. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Amenities were limited, but that was understandable. Location is excellent, near many restaurants and places for takeout. The room was comfortable,, and laid out well. Parking was a bit of a hassle.
Had a great stay at the Cambria! Rooms were tidy, clean and I appreciated the simple complimentary breakfast and coffee bar in the mornings. Location was great! Close access to downtown White Plains and I could easily go to the Target next door or to the ShopRite if I needed to.
Beautiful property with clean, comfortable, spacious & quiet suites. They also have convenient & organized valet parking. The staff are very friendly & helpful. The location is conveniently located next to shops and local eateries.
I’m going to be honest when I say I never write reviews but I HAD to share this experience. My mother and I drove up from Virginia and came to stay here at the Cambria. Noor at the front desk was extremely sweet, friendly and professional. She booked a handicap room for my mother which was perfect. Unfortunately, after moving into the room the smoke alarm started to beep due to low battery. Once again, Noor and her manager (i can’t remember the name i’m so sorry - perhaps it was June?) were quick to get us switched into a different room. Both rooms were very clean and spacious. Their kindness was a great break from the stressful drive from Virginia to New York. Would highly recommend this hotel!!!
I have been staying here since the hotel first opened. It is very convenient to places to eat as well as to shop. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave as well as a coffeemaker. Parking does cost extra. I can't say enough about the rooms-they are a very nice size, including desk for your laptop; couch to watch TV and then a room for your bed. The staff has always been top notch. Thank you for making my stay a bit more pleasant despite the cold weather.
Nice hotel. Parking very expensive and valet only. In downtown white plains really don't need a car.
Great hotel at a great location. Exceeded my expectations, WOW! Rooms are extremely spacious and very beautiful. It’s an overall beautifulll hotel
If I could give this place 100 stars, I would. The Cambria is a gem , and a home away from home. I have stayed here 3 times , about 2 two weeks ago.The room was clean, and cozy. The bed is the best, and its reliable and convenient. Lastly the staff is very attentive, professional and down to earth. During such a hard time due to co vid the GM Sean, and front desk went above and beyond to get us what we needed . I will return, and encourage everyone comming here to enjoy a fantastic night at this hotel
Joy (i think that was her name) at the front desk was amazing helping my 85 year old father check in. It was a last minute booking due to a dental procedure that went later than expected. She went above and beyond to make sure he was able to check in and called me back to let me know he was all set.
I don't usually stay at such nice places, so I was easily impressed.
What an amazing hotel!!! We left something very important in the safe in our room. The manager sean called us the same day and couldn't have been any more accomodating! We are very grateful!! Great stay as well. Very clean.
Excellent location. Close to restaurants, desserts, and a pharmacy. The room was amazing. You have to pay for parking if you drive. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful time.
