Instead, take the SkyConnect train from Level 1 of the Economy Garage directly to the main terminal. It runs continuously and takes roughly 3 minutes. SunPass is accepted at all garage exits. This garage fills fast on Monday mornings and during peak periods, so book in advance if you're traveling January through March or on summer Fridays.
Long Term Garage ($20/day) Adjacent to the Main Terminal. Access via walkway on Level 4 or monorail on Level 7. First hour free. Good option when Economy Garage is full.
Short Term Garage ($24/day) Levels 4-9 above the Main Terminal. First 60 minutes free, making it best for pickups and drop-offs under an hour. From 61-80 minutes the cost is $4, and each additional 20 minutes is $2.
Valet ($32/day) Level 5 of the Short Term Garage, with 24/7 drop-off and pickup. Car detailing is available. It is the best fit if you want the airport's lowest-friction option on both ends of the trip.
Off-airport lots near TPA cluster in the Westshore corridor, 1-3 miles from the terminal. All run free shuttles. The price gap vs on-airport Economy is real but narrow, and it matters most on trips of 5+ days.

SkyConnect gotcha: The SkyConnect train departs from Level 1 of the Economy Garage. Signage inside the garage does not always make this obvious. When you leave your car, head down to Level 1 to reach the train platform.
