Sanford Stadium Parking Guide

Official and donor passes, and who can buy them

UGA Transportation and Parking Services sells a limited run of season passes on ParkMobile. The ParkMobile packages page still listed six 2026 packages on September 25: Carlton St. Deck, East Campus Deck, Health/Visitors Deck, the E23 RV lot, River Road E06, and a W17 lot marked access code restricted. It did not show whether any were left. UGA also warns that ParkMobile never texts payment links.

The donor route runs through The Georgia Bulldog Club. A Hartman Fund gift of $1,500 or more, with season tickets on the same account, makes you eligible to pick a parking pass. Gifts of $10,000 or more qualify for two. The 2025 holders had first right to renew.

Parking on game day without a pass

Every UGA lot and deck opens at 7:00 a.m., and UGA Athletics says "Cash will not be accepted at parking lots." Cars on grass or sidewalks get towed.

The simplest fallback is East Campus Deck, with the Intramural Fields opening as overflow when UGA decides it is needed. An older UGA FAQ calls some of these spaces free. UGA now sells East Campus Deck season passes, so do not count on it.

On weekdays the campus visitor decks cap at $15.00 a day, or $10.00 at East Deck. UGA does not say whether those rates apply on football Saturdays.

Downtown, the College Avenue and West Washington Street decks sell game-day spaces first come, first served. Visit Athens gives no price. The Classic Center deck is less than a mile away, a short walk down Thomas Street. It opens at 8:00 am for games before 1:00 pm, 10:00 am for 1:00 to 4:00 pm kickoffs, and noon after that.

2026 home games still to play

From the official 2026 schedule. The October 31 Florida game is in Atlanta. ParkMobile shows every game as "Event begins 12:00 pm", which conflicts with the 3:30 p.m. Oklahoma kickoff. Trust the schedule.

Tailgating rules

No setups before 7:00 a.m. Saturday. UGA's tailgating page allows charcoal grills but bans open wood fires, household furniture and plugging into UGA power. No grills in or on parking decks, and no corporate tailgates.

North Campus is stricter: setup starts 5 hours before kickoff, and kegs, generators, TVs, amplified music and grills are banned. Open containers are illegal on county streets.

One conflict to know about. The tailgating page says there is no tailgating in the Intramural Field area. The older FAQ encourages it. Follow the attendants.

Rideshare and drop-off

UGA and Athens-Clarke County publish no rideshare pickup zone for football. The accessibility page says road closures leave no drop-off point near the stadium. After the game, police send cars to the Georgia 10 Loop.

Shuttles and buses

The S Stadium Loop runs from East Campus Deck to Gate 6. TPS says it starts 3.5 hours before kickoff and runs at least an hour after the game. The Athletics transit page adds that pickups stop 15 minutes after kickoff, and that Intramural Fields return buses run for 2 hours and leave you a half-mile walk. Cars left on the fields after 3 hours are towed. The older FAQ says shuttles start 5.5 hours out, not 3.5.

Regular UGA campus routes are suspended during home games. ACC Transit is fare-free but detours on game weekends. Sanford Drive closes at 5:00 pm Friday, per the county detour sheet.

RV parking

UGA's RV lot is E23 Park & Ride, at $150 per game or $1,050 for the season. ParkMobile lists RV-only sales for Vanderbilt, Auburn, Missouri and Georgia Tech. UGA does not publish an RV arrival time or overnight rules. The Classic Center has limited RV spaces by email to [email protected].

Accessible parking

Single-game accessible parking is at the East Deck on River Road. Shuttles with ramps or lifts run to Gate 6 from 3.5 hours before kickoff until 15 minutes after. When the deck fills, they run from the Intramural Fields, though UGA discourages disability parking there because the ground is uneven. Hartman Fund donors can join an accessible parking waiting list through the Ticket Office at 877-542-1231. No price is published. Accessible gates are 2, 4, 6 and 8.

What this guide doesn't recommend

• Bringing cash. UGA lots do not take it. The 2023 downtown decks were cash only, so check before you pay.
• Meters for a daytime game. Downtown meters stop at two hours before 6:00 PM.
• Waiting on the apps. SpotHero and ParkWhiz had nothing for Oklahoma. SpotHero's $5.99 to $21.20 lots are hourly listings, not game-day sales.

What we found comparing prices across the remaining games

First, the season pass is priced for seven games. At $280, UGA calls it $40 a game. Two home games are already played, so a pass bought now covers five, or $56 a game. The donor pass is cheaper at $100, but only after a gift of at least $1,500, so the entry cost is $1,600.

Second, every figure below the season pass is missing. No 2026 game-day price was published for the downtown decks, The Classic Center, campus visitor decks or accessible parking. The newest downtown figure we found was $40 in 2023. The only priced single-game option is the E23 RV lot at $150.

Third, the apps are empty for Athens. SpotHero lists all five games but returned no parking for Oklahoma, and ParkWhiz showed nothing. Without a pass, the real choices are the shuttle from East Campus Deck, a downtown deck, or resale.
