Petco Park Parking at 100 Park Blvd (2026)

Petco Park is an urban ballpark. Your choices are the Padres' lots next to the stadium, the garages at Harbor Drive, street meters or the Trolley. The Padres sell passes for their three Padres Preferred lots: Padres Parkade, Tailgate Park and the Lexus Premier Lot. They also sell Park 12 Valet, the Bayfront Hilton and Convention Center garages and, for the NLDS, an MTS Lot. Sales stop 4 hours before the game. Tailgate Park is open, and it's the only place the Padres allow tailgating. If a Padres lot is sold out, Vivid Seats resale is the backup.

Petco Park lots, official prices and entrances

Prices below come from the Padres' NLDS parking sales pages on mlb.tickets.com, checked October 4, 2026. They apply to Game 3 on October 6 and Game 4 on October 7, and each pass also carries a $3.50 fee. The Padres' parking page lists no regular-season prices right now. Entrances are from the Padres' Getting to Petco Park by Car page.

When the lots open, per the Padres:

• Padres Parkade, Tailgate Park and the Lexus Premier Lot: 4 hours before the game.
• Park 12 Valet: 2.5 hours before the game.
• All ACE Parking garages and lots: at least 2 hours before the game.
• All garages, lots and premium parking stay open until 2 a.m. after an evening event.

The Padres' postseason page says only passes for Padres-controlled lots (Padres Parkade, Tailgate Lot and Lexus Premier Lot) can be resold. If those are sold out at the Padres, Vivid Seats resale is the place to look, and sellers set the price.

Which Petco Park garage is actually closest?

The Padres call three lots Padres Preferred and say they sit directly adjacent to Petco Park: Padres Parkade, a garage at 10th Avenue and J Street, and two surface lots, Tailgate Park and the Lexus Premier Lot. The Bayfront Hilton and Convention Center garages are at Harbor Drive, and the Padres say the Harbor Drive footbridge makes it an easy walk to the ballpark. The Padres don't publish walk times for any lot. For the NLDS, all three Padres Preferred lots showed no passes left on October 4; check Vivid Seats resale for those.

Is Tailgate Park still open?

Yes. The Padres list Tailgate Park as one of their three Padres Preferred lots, and it opens 4 hours before the game. It's a surface lot with its entrance and exit on 13th Street at K Street, or on Imperial Avenue between 12th Avenue and 14th Street.

The Padres' tailgating rules:

• Tailgating is allowed at Tailgate Park on a limited basis, and not in any other garage or lot.
• Park where ACE Parking directs you. You can't reserve extra spaces, and you tailgate directly behind your car, not in the next stall.
• Gas grills only. No charcoal, kegs, glass bottles or amplified sound.
• Alcohol must stop 30 minutes after the scheduled start time, and you can't leave the lot with it.

For the NLDS, the Padres' sales pages list Tailgate Park, sold as Tailgate Lot, at $60 plus a $3.50 fee, and showed no passes left on October 4. Tailgate Park passes can be resold, so check Vivid Seats resale.

Should I take the Trolley or drive to Petco?

For most San Diego fans, the Trolley is the simpler trip. MTS lists three stations within walking distance of Petco Park:

• 12th & Imperial: one block away. UC San Diego Blue, Orange and Green lines.
• Gaslamp Quarter (Fifth Avenue and Harbor Drive): one block away. Green Line.
• Park & Market: 0.2 miles away. UC San Diego Blue and Orange lines.
• Fare: $3 one way for adults, with two hours of transfers on PRONTO, and PRONTO stops charging once you reach the $7 Day Pass price for the day. Reduced fare is $1.50, and riders 18 and under ride free with a Youth PRONTO account. Load at least $6 for an adult round trip.
• Paying: each rider pays their own fare, since one PRONTO card or app can't cover a group. Adults can also tap a contactless bank card or phone for a one-way fare.
• Frequency: every 15 minutes or better before games, with extra service after the game as needed.
• Park & Ride: MTS has free lots along the Trolley lines. The lot at UTC is paid, and Grantville has no parking during construction.

Coming from North County? The Padres point to the COASTER, with free parking at seven stations between Oceanside and Santa Fe Depot. From Santa Fe Depot it's a 25-minute walk to Petco Park, or about a 12-minute ride on a southbound Green Line Trolley to Gaslamp Quarter or 12th & Imperial. We read the Padres' official NLDS parking sales pages on mlb.tickets.com at about 5:35 a.m. PT on October 4, 2026, using the price and inventory feed that loads with each page. Three things stood out.

• The Padres' own lots and both valets were gone. Padres Parkade, Tailgate Park, the Lexus Premier Lot, Lexus Valet and Park 12 Valet showed no passes left for Game 3 or Game 4. Passes were still listed at the Hilton Garage, Convention Center Garage and MTS Lot.
• The Padres Preferred lots cost the most. Padres Parkade and Tailgate Park were $60, Park 12 and the MTS Lot $55, and the two Harbor Drive garages $50, each plus a $3.50 fee.
• Resale is limited to three lots. The Padres say only Padres Parkade, Tailgate Lot and Lexus Premier Lot passes can be resold, so those are the lots to look for on Vivid Seats resale.

The cheapest official pass for either game was $53.50 with the fee, at the Hilton Garage or Convention Center Garage. Prices on Vivid Seats resale are set by sellers and can be higher or lower.

Where is rideshare pickup at Petco Park?

The Padres' designated rideshare loading zone for Uber, Lyft and taxis is across the street from the Bayfront Hilton Hotel, next to the Convention Center, on Harbor Drive and Park Boulevard. The Padres suggest getting dropped off and picked up there, then taking the pedestrian sky bridge toward the ballpark.

• Other drop-off and pick-up zones: 6th Avenue and K Street on the west side of the ballpark, and 10th Avenue and Park Boulevard on the east side.
• Wait times and surge pricing: not published by the Padres. Check your app before you leave.

Accessible parking at Petco Park

The Padres offer parking for guests with disabilities or special needs at the 6th and K Parkade, on the west side of the ballpark off 6th Avenue. They list the rate as $15, subject to change. Lots and garages in the Padres and ACE Parking plan also hold accessible spaces at the current parking rate. All of these spaces are first come, first served.

A free shuttle for guests with disabilities runs between Padres Parkade, Tailgate Park, the MTS Garage and the ballpark. It starts 2 hours before the game and runs until about 30 minutes after it ends. After the game, wait at Park Boulevard and Imperial Avenue, or text 619-279-5881. Drivers with a disabled person placard park free at city meters, including during special events.

Is there free or street parking near Petco?

Not near the ballpark during games. The City of San Diego charges a special event rate of $10 an hour at meters within about half a mile of Petco Park during Padres games and other events expected to draw more than 10,000 people. The rate starts about two hours before the game and lasts until it ends. Elsewhere, most city meters run Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and downtown Hospitality Zone meters run until 8 p.m., so check the posted signs. Card payments at meters carry a $0.35 fee. Drivers with a disabled person placard park free at meters, including during special events.

Game-day tips for Petco drivers

1. Use the Padres' routes to their Preferred lots. From the north, take I-5 South to the Imperial Avenue exit (west) or the 10th Avenue exit, or SR-163 South to 10th Avenue. From the east, take SR-94 West to F Street, turn left on 16th Street and right on Imperial Avenue. From the south, take I-5 North to the J Street exit (west).
2. Pick your lot by where you're headed after the game. The Padres' outbound routes: Imperial Avenue east, then left on 19th Street to I-5 North; 11th Avenue to I-5 North or SR-163 North; 13th Avenue north, then right on G Street to SR-94 East; J Street east, then right on 17th Street to I-5 South.
3. Buy ahead. The Padres say buying ahead guarantees a spot in a Padres-preferred lot at a discounted rate, and they stop selling 4 hours before the game. Missed it? Passes for the three Padres-controlled lots may turn up on Vivid Seats resale.
4. Plan for big crowds. On weekends, special events and other large-crowd games, the Padres say to plan on public transit or parking a short walk away, and for large games they point drivers to the Harbor Drive parking facilities. 5. Bring a card. Padres Parkade, the Lexus Premier Lot and Tailgate Lot are cashless, and so are the Hilton Bayfront and Convention Center garages.
6. Charging an EV? Padres Parkade has 20 Level 2 charging spaces on its 2nd and 3rd floors, at standard parking rates.

Not for you: when to skip driving

If any of these is true, the Trolley beats parking:

• You live near a Trolley station with a free MTS Park & Ride lot, such as Old Town on the Green and UC San Diego Blue lines or Euclid Avenue on the Orange Line.
• It's a weekend, a special event or a large-crowd game. That's when the Padres tell fans to plan on transit or parking a short walk away.
• You'd be parking at a meter near the ballpark, where the City charges $10 an hour during games.
• You missed the Padres' 4-hour cutoff and don't want to pay what sellers ask on Vivid Seats resale.

Drive when: you need accessible parking close to the ballpark, you're bringing a gas grill for a Tailgate Park tailgate, or the Trolley doesn't reach your area at game time.
