Short answer. The race (Thursday, November 19 to Saturday, November 21, 2026) does not sell parking. The organizer's guide says "Parking is not available directly through the Event" and that parking around and inside the circuit will be limited (Las Vegas Grand Prix A-Z guide).
If you drive, you park in a resort garage and walk. Get there before 1 p.m. The track roads (Las Vegas Boulevard, Harmon Avenue, Koval Lane and Sands Avenue) start closing at 1 p.m. on all three days and don't reopen until after midnight. Once they're closed, you can only reach some garages, and only by detour. The Venetian says its garage stays reachable over a temporary bridge at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. The Palazzo garage is closed for entry and exit during closures.
Without a car, your options are walking, the Monorail (nonstop from November 17 to 23) or one of four rideshare zones.
Resort garages: which ones you can reach during closures
Only The Venetian has published how drivers reach its garage while the track is closed. For the other resorts we list what they have published and mark the rest as not published. If your hotel isn't covered below, ask it directly how its garage works between 1 p.m. and the overnight reopening.
| Garage | How you reach it during closures | Posted price | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Venetian (self-park and valet) | Cross the temporary bridge at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, keep west on Flamingo, turn right on LINQ Lane (it becomes Kreuger Drive), then make a left U-turn into the garage. The Venetian still advises against driving during closures. | Self-park $20 a day for hotel guests, $20 to $25 a day for other guests. Valet $40 a day. | The Venetian race guide |
| The Palazzo (self-park and valet) | Closed for entry and exit during road closures. Palazzo guests can check in and leave bags at The Venetian front desk. | Not published separately from The Venetian | The Venetian race guide |
| MGM Resorts garages: Bellagio, ARIA, Vdara, The Cosmopolitan, Park MGM | Not published. MGM's parking page has no race-week access notes. Park MGM is also one of the organizer's four rideshare zones. | Self-park $20 per 24 hours Monday to Thursday, $25 Friday to Sunday. Registered hotel guests pay $20. The free 3 hours for Nevada residents doesn't apply during special events. Valet rates: not published on that page. | MGM Resorts parking |
| Caesars Entertainment resorts, including Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood | Not published. Caesars says all eight of its Las Vegas resorts sit inside the track footprint, which makes the access question more pressing for its guests. | Not published in the race-week sources we could read | Caesars race-week release |
| Other properties along the circuit (Treasure Island, Fashion Show, Forum Shops, Virgin Hotels, Tuscany and others) | The organizer's transportation site posts a vehicle access sheet for each property. On November 5 those sheets still showed 2024 race dates, and no 2026 versions had been posted. | Not published | LVGP transportation site |
The organizer bans camping, overnight parking and tailgating. There are no lockers at the event either, and prohibited items found at screening have to go back to your car or hotel or be thrown out (A-Z guide). A car parked a long walk from your gate makes that a long round trip.
Road closure schedule
These are the track roads. The organizer and The Venetian list the same closing times. On race days, The Venetian says closures begin at 1 p.m. and the roads are fully closed by 3 p.m.
| Day | Roads close | Roads reopen |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday, November 18 (overnight) | 12:01 a.m. | 6 a.m. Wednesday |
| Wednesday, November 18 (night) | 8 p.m. | 3 a.m. Thursday, November 19 |
| Thursday, November 19 | 1 p.m. | 12:30 a.m. Friday, November 20 |
| Friday, November 20 | 1 p.m. | Midnight (12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 21, in the organizer's guide) |
| Saturday, November 21 (race) | 1 p.m. | 2 a.m. Sunday, November 22 |
Sources: organizer's A-Z guide and The Venetian's race guide. Two reopening dates in the organizer's guide are a day off. It says Thursday's roads reopen on "Friday 11/21" and Friday's on "Saturday, 11/22". Neither date fits the calendar, so the table uses The Venetian's dates: November 20 and November 21.
- Gates: open at 2:30 p.m. each day. They close at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, 9:30 p.m. Friday and 11 p.m. Saturday, so the roads stay closed for two to three hours after you leave (A-Z guide).
- Closure map: the organizer's hot track road closures map (PDF) shows the closed streets, the lanes cut back on nearby roads, some ramp closures and the Flamingo vehicle bridge.
- Before race week: the organizer's build-schedule page lists two southbound Las Vegas Boulevard lanes and the sidewalk closed around the clock from Flamingo Road to Bellagio Drive from September 14 to November 9, for Bellagio Fountain Club construction (LVGP pre-race schedule, week 9).
- Pedestrians: The Venetian says pedestrian paths and footbridges stay open 24/7 during closures.
Shuttles, Monorail and buses
- Event shuttles are for hospitality tickets only. The organizer runs shuttles for Paddock Club, Wynn Grid Club and Garage guests from 2:15 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Thursday, 2:15 p.m. to midnight Friday and 2:15 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday. The last shuttle to the track leaves at 8 p.m. each night. Boarding points are the ARIA Tour Bus Lobby, Fontainebleau North Rideshare, Caesars Palace Augustus Tower and Topgolf (south side of the MGM Conference Center doors). No shuttle is listed for general ticket holders (A-Z guide).
- Monorail: runs nonstop from 7 a.m. Tuesday, November 17 to 3 a.m. Monday, November 23. Discounted advance tickets are sold at tix.lvmonorail.com/F12026LVGP. Locals with Nevada ID can buy $1 single rides at station customer service booths (not Boingo Station) from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., November 19 to 21. The organizer suggests parking outside the circuit and riding the Monorail in (A-Z guide, Las Vegas Monorail).
- RTC buses: from Tuesday, November 17 to Wednesday, November 25, the Deuce and Routes 119, 202 and 203 run on major detours, and many stops along the Strip will close. The RTC says it will post full detour lists before race week (RTC alerts and detours).
Rideshare and taxis
The organizer lists four rideshare pick-up and drop-off zones: Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Howard Hughes Center, Tuscany and Park MGM. Use the one closest to your ticketed zone (A-Z guide). The organizer's site also posts a map for each zone, for example the Virgin Hotel rideshare map (PDF).
Taxis add a $15 fee to every trip that starts or ends in the Strip Corridor Zones, from 1 a.m. November 19 to noon November 23 (Nevada Taxicab Authority).
Flying in: parking at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)
If you're leaving a car at the airport for race week, these are the airport's posted daily maximums (Harry Reid parking, checked November 5, 2026):
- Terminal 3 Long Term, reserved: $16 a day Saturday to Wednesday, $20 Thursday and Friday. Reservations required, limited availability. Drive-ups pay posted rates.
- Long Term (Terminals 1 and 3): $20 daily maximum
- Economy and Remote Lot: $14 daily maximum. The Remote Lot has free shuttles to the terminals.
- Short Term: $38 daily maximum. Valet: $34 a day.
For off-airport lots near LAS, see Las Vegas airport parking on ParkingAccess, or browse all airport parking.
When driving to the race is the wrong call
- Your hotel is The Palazzo and you need the car after 1 p.m. That garage is closed for entry and exit until the roads reopen after midnight.
- You land on Thursday, Friday or Saturday afternoon. By then the track roads are closing. Check in before 1 p.m. or plan your route around the closures.
- You want to leave right after the session. Gates close two to three hours before the roads reopen, so cars inside the loop wait.
- You're relying on a Nevada-resident parking deal. MGM's free 3 hours doesn't apply during special events.
Frequently asked questions
Does the Grand Prix sell parking passes?
No. The organizer says parking is not available through the event and points you to walking or rideshare. Any parking you buy is from a resort garage or a private lot, not the race.
What time do the Strip roads close on race days?
At 1 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with full closure by 3 p.m. per The Venetian. They reopen at 12:30 a.m. Friday, at midnight Friday night and at 2 a.m. Sunday.
Can I get into The Venetian garage while the roads are closed?
Yes, per The Venetian. Take the temporary bridge at Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, go west on Flamingo, then follow LINQ Lane and Kreuger Drive to the garage. The Palazzo garage is closed during closures.
How much is parking at Bellagio or ARIA that weekend?
MGM posts $20 per 24 hours Monday to Thursday and $25 Friday to Sunday, or $20 for registered hotel guests. MGM hasn't published how its garages work during the closures.
Where do Uber and Lyft drop off for the race?
At Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Howard Hughes Center, Tuscany or Park MGM. Pick the zone closest to your ticketed area.
What does it cost to park at the airport that week?
The posted daily maximum is $14 in Economy, $20 in Long Term, and $16 to $20 for reserved Terminal 3 Long Term, depending on the day. The airport's parking page has the current rates.
