Kyle Field Parking Guide

Kyle Field holds over 102,000 people on a campus where most of the parking is spoken for by permit holders and the 12th Man Foundation before a single visitor arrives. What is left for the public splits into two prices and a free shuttle that removes the parking problem entirely if you are willing to start your day in Downtown Bryan. Here is what is actually buyable, what the accessible options cost, and the one lot that still demands cash.

How much does it cost to park at Kyle Field?

Lots are scheduled to open at 7:30 a.m. Gameday shuttles start three hours before kickoff and run until one hour after the game, and they are free.

Original research: the free shuttle against a season of paid campus parking

Method: we priced Texas A&M's two published pay-upon-arrival tiers across a seven-game home slate and set them against the free Downtown Bryan park-and-ride. No competing page we found runs this comparison.

Texas A&M runs a free gameday shuttle between the Roy Kelly Parking Garage in Downtown Bryan and the Memorial Student Center on campus. Free parking is available in surrounding city and county lots, or you can pay a garage rate at Roy Kelly. Service runs three hours pre-game to one hour post-game and continues throughout the game.

Across a seven-game home slate that is a $175 to $280 swing against zero. The catch is honest: no open containers are allowed on the bus, and you are committing to a fixed shuttle window rather than leaving when you like. For a family making the trip from out of town, the Downtown Bryan option also solves lunch, which the campus lots do not.

Prepay only works through ParkMobile

This is the detail that costs people money. Prepaid gameday parking is only valid if purchased from ParkMobile. A pass bought through any other channel is not a valid pass at Kyle Field. Visitor parking runs on limited quantities of individual game permits released for pre-purchase in August.

One firm exclusion: there is no pay-upon-arrival parking in the West Campus Garage on gamedays, and no football season parking passes are sold there at all. If your plan was to drive to WCG and pay at the gate, that plan does not exist.

If you hold an annual A&M permit, check which list your lot is on

Customers with annual Texas A&M parking permits park free on football gamedays in lots and garages listed as Any Valid Permit. That is a long list, including lots 13, 24, 25, 26, 32, 34, 36, 43, 45, 47, 50, 51, 54, 55, 63, 71, 75, 76, 78, 79, 80, 87, 88, 101, 106, 109, 110, 111, 113, 118 and Fan Field.

Three other categories behave differently:

• 12th Man Athletic Association lots are reserved for 12th Man permit holders — 2,675 spaces including lots 18, 30e, 48, 59–62, 69, 72–74, 97, 98, 100, 102, 104, 114, SBG, WCG and UCG.
• Pay or specific permit lots require payment or the exact permit for that location, including Central Campus, Northside and Southside Garages.
• Specific permit only lots accept nothing else, including lots 4–12, 14, 15, 19–23, 27, 30a–d, 31, 38, 40, 42, 64, 66, 68, 70, 86, 96, 117 and 122.

Note a 2026 change: from August 24, 2026, lots around Reed Arena require a Lot 100 permit during weekday business hours.

Accessible parking and the Stotzer shuttle

Designated accessible spaces are in the University Center Garage at $40 and Lot Y / 114 at $25, payable cash or credit. Vehicles must display a county-issued ISA disabled hangtag or ISA disabled plates.

Accessible shuttle service runs from Lot Y / 114, next to the White Creek Apartments and the School of Public Health, on the Stotzer route. Shuttles run to the Kyle Field Zone entrance from three hours before kickoff until one hour after the game. A separate A&M page lists accessible parking in Lot 50 with a shuttle to the Zone area running from three hours pre-kick to 1.5 hours post-game, so confirm your lot on the transport site before travelling.

Bus parking still takes cash only

Bus parking sits next to Reed Arena, entered from the loading dock access road off Penberthy Boulevard. It costs $40, cash only. On a campus that has otherwise moved to card and app payment, this is the one place a card will not help you.

Kyle Field: built with $650 of one professor's own money

In 1904 Edwin Jackson Kyle, a horticulture professor and Texas A&M graduate, was named president of the General Athletics Association. The university would not fund an athletic field, so Kyle fenced off a corner of campus assigned to him for agricultural use, spent $650 of his own money on a covered grandstand from the Bryan fairgrounds, and built bleachers for 500 people. Students named the field after him.

The permanent concrete stadium followed in 1927. Today Kyle Field seats 102,733, the largest in the SEC and the largest in Texas, after a $485 million redevelopment completed for the 2015 season. It has also hosted the largest concert crowd in its history, 110,905 for George Strait in June 2024.

The relevance to parking is the campus, not the stadium. Kyle Field sits inside a working university campus with more than a hundred numbered lots, nearly all of them allocated to permit classes before a visitor arrives. That is why the public options are two prices and a shuttle rather than a lot map.

Not driving: transit, rideshare and the alternatives

Texas A&M runs the Aggie Spirit bus system across campus, and the free Downtown Bryan Gameday Shuttle covered above is effectively a park-and-ride that costs nothing. Between them, driving onto campus is genuinely optional at Kyle Field in a way it is not at most stadiums this size.

Uber and Lyft operate in the Bryan–College Station area, but the driver pool is small relative to a 102,000-seat crowd and post-game waits are long. Against $25 pay-upon-arrival parking, rideshare rarely wins on price.

The comparison that actually matters here is not rideshare against parking. It is free Downtown Bryan parking plus a free shuttle against $25 to $40 on campus. Nothing else at this stadium beats zero.
