Why Should You Visit Siesta Key?

Siesta Key, Florida, and its eight-mile-long shore offer everything you may need during a vacation: sandy beaches, dining options, shops, resorts, and vibrant nightlife along Ocean Blvd. The island comprises three beaches:

  • Siesta Beach, one of the best U.S. beaches in 2020, according to TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards;
  • Crescent Beach, with impressive sunset views and access to the Point of Rocks;
  • Turtle Beach, the best choice for camping and picnics.

Enjoy sun and fun at Siesta Key Beach, which features concession stands, restrooms, outdoor showers, beach umbrella rentals, tennis and volleyball courses, and a large covered pavilion. It also has ample parking, and we listed all the options and other helpful information below!

About the Siesta Key Beach Parking Lot

The main Siesta Key Beach public parking area is huge—it offers over 800 spots, including limited accessible parking. Due to its capacity, finding a convenient parking space is rarely an issue, and early arrival is recommended during high season only.

The beach is open from 6 AM to midnight, and here is the Siesta Key public beach parking address: 948 Beach Rd, Siesta Key, FL 34242. Just like admission, beach parking is free! The map below shows the entire visitor parking structure and the locations of lifeguard stations, pavilions, restrooms, etc.

Transportation to and Through Siesta Key

Instead of public beach parking, Siesta Key visitors may use transportation alternatives on peak days. If you’re flying into SRQ, we recommend renting a car through Easirent or booking a Sarasota Airport Shuttle. For other routes, use platforms like Busbud to find a suitable bus line.

Once you get to Siesta Key, hop on a free Siesta Breeze Trolley to Siesta Beach or Turtle Beach Park. Trolleys operate every 25 to 30 minutes from 8 AM to 10 PM or midnight. Alternatively, take advantage of other free transportation services, such as Jonny’s Original Free Ride, which runs on-demand between 10 AM and 2 AM.
