Petco Park is in the East Village, a lively downtown area known for the San Diego Padres home field. Padres Preferred Parking

Accessible Parking
All Petco Park parking lots, as well as Ace Parking facilities in the area, offer ADA parking spots for visitors with disabilities. Any guest who uses such spots needs to own and display a disabled parking permit, placard, or license plate. Standard parking rates apply. Affordable Parking Near the Venue
Alternatives to official parking at Petco Park will save you money but require more time. The downtown parking lots are 5 to 15 minutes away from Petco Park, so have that in mind if you opt for a city parking service. We listed the most reliable downtown parking facilities and their lowest rates:

If you come across a suitable on-street parking space, check the parking sign or meter to make sure you can leave your vehicle there. Read the sign carefully to avoid getting a San Diego parking ticket! The general parking rate on San Diego streets is $0.25 per 15 minutes.
Tailgating at Petco Park
The Petco Park tailgate lot is the only event parking area that allows tailgating. Tailgate Park is operated by Ace Parking and placed a short walk away from the ballpark:
Follow the listed rules to have the best game-day experience:
- Alcohol consumption is permitted but must be discontinued 30 minutes after the beginning of the event.
- Saving or reserving additional spaces is prohibited.
- Kegs and glass containers aren’t allowed.
- Solicitation and selling of any goods are prohibited.
- Charcoal grills are prohibited.
- Visitors cannot disrupt the flow of traffic or block any pathways.
Transportation to the Park
In case you decide on using public transportation instead of driving, take the San Diego Trolley for only $2.50 one-way. If traveling on the Green Line, head to the Gaslamp Quarter Station or 12th & Imperial Transit Center. The 12th & Imperial Station is a 6-minute walk away, and it’s serviced by Blue and Orange Lines, too. The Gaslamp Quarter Station is only 2 minutes away.
