Officially known as Newport Centre, this premier waterfront mall in downtown Jersey City comprises three levels and plenty of stores. The most popular ones are Macy’s, JCPenney, Kohl’s, and Sears. Located by the Hudson River, the shopping complex is easily accessible and features a multi-story parking facility. Garage Parking at Newport Mall
The official Newport Mall parking garage operated by Denison Parking offers 3,650 parking spaces. All spots are obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are 39 accessible parking stalls for those with appropriate permits only.
Monthly parking is available for $360, and the standard short-term rates are in the following list.

On-Street Parking Availability
Street parking is convenient for short stays since surrounding streets require residential permits for over two hours of parking. Restrictions, street cleaning, and other limitations vary according to the location, so read the signs carefully.
Meters are in effect from 7 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday, which means that residential parking rules don’t apply on weekends. However, finding a nearby spot is usually hard on weekends, so be sure to arrive early. See the free parking zone map here.

Public Transportation to Newport Centre
The light rail station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail and Newport PATH station is within walking distance of the mall. The first connects Jersey City with Bayonne, Hoboken, Union City, and North Bergen. The latter is served by PATH’s Green and Orange Lines. The PATH single-ride ticket is $2.75 and is valid for two hours.
