Searching for more affordable car parking for Moda Center events? The Parking Access team did extensive research and discovered several great options—check them out to find the one that suits your needs and your budget:

  1. Portland Convention Center Lot at 298 NE Lloyd Blvd. is a top choice among Portland Trail Blazers supporters. The standard event parking cost is only $5, and it’s located within a 10-minute walk of the former Rose Garden.
  2. Lloyd Center is another cost-effective option that offers cheap spots or free parking after 7 PM. Make sure you park the vehicle properly and be careful since there are several towing signs. The walk to the venue takes about 15 minutes, but you can also catch a MAX Red Line train.
  3. Street parking is always available in the vicinity. For instance, you can find a spot in the neighborhood north of the venue or park on the west side of the steel bridge. The walk distance is pretty much the same as for most off-site lots. Downtown parking is also free after 7 PM. Be sure to read the signs carefully to avoid getting a Portland parking ticket!
  4. Park & Ride lots provided by TriMet offer free parking for up to 24 hours and allow easy access to the arena! Go through the Park & Ride Locations to find the closest one, and discover more about bus and rail services below.

The Rose Quarter Transit Center is right across the street from the arena, and it’s served by MAX Blue, Green, and Red Lines. Yellow Line stops at the Interstate/Rose Quarter station, which is only a two-minute walk from Moda Center. The TriMet day pass is $5. TriMet also provides extra MAX service on Blazers game days, as well as bus routes 4, 8, 35, 44, 77, and 85. Whether you plan to use public transit all the way or wish to park downtown and then hop on a train, TriMet will provide you with a safe ride. Tailgating Information + Nearby Bars

The arena’s official website has no information on tailgating, but you may try to find a third-party parking lot in the area that allows it. Alternatively, we suggest visiting one of the nearby bars before a Trail Blazers game. Spirit of 77 and Upright Brewing are within walking distance of Moda Center and offer a great selection of beers. If you go across the Willamette River, you’ll find an array of cool bars and restaurants on the west bank.
