To avoid charges, take advantage of Free Thursday, and visit the museum’s permanent exhibits on a Thursday between 2 PM and 5 PM. The natural history museum, comprising the Burke Baker Planetarium, Cockrell Butterfly Center, and Wortham Giant Screen Theatre, is open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Every floor of the Houston Museum of Natural Science parking garage offers ADA stalls near the elevators. Since these are available on a first-come, first-served basis, we suggest early arrival.
