About the Venue
Fenway Park is Boston’s large baseball park located a short drive away from the city center. It’s the oldest active MLB ballpark that’s been home to the Boston Red Sox since 1912. The venue has hosted countless events and games, including baseball, football, boxing, and hockey, for over 37,000 guests. Its address is 4 Jersey Street, only minutes away from the downtown area and quickly accessible by car.
What Are the COVID Restrictions for Fenway Park?
Since state officials dropped most COVID-related restrictions, the venue has been operating at full capacity without any constraints. As of March 2022, Fenway Park doesn’t require face masks or vaccination certificates upon entry.

Cost-conscious guests should look for alternative parking, and you can lower your expenses by making a reservation in advance. Sometimes, you may find personal spots on Gainsborough Street available at a lower price. See the list below for the top structures in the area, but note that the prices may vary according to the event.

One more thing; finding a cheap or even free spot on the street is not out of the question, but you have to arrive early enough.
Free parking is available along Bay State Road after 5 PM on weekdays and Saturdays and all day on Sundays. Alternatively, metered parking on Beacon Street is a suitable option but for a cost of up to $22. Don’t forget to look at the street signage and make sure you don’t get a ticket.
Tailgating is prohibited in the main parking facilities, and we suggest visiting a sports bar or tavern in the area before the game. It’s a great substitute for tailgating, and many places in the area offer excellent craft beers and tasty food. Here are the top 5 bars in the area:
Transportation to the Park
Public transit is certainly the cheapest option, and the MBTA offers both public buses and trains that can take you to the park.
The Kenmore station is a 5-minute walk from the ballpark, while the Fenway station is a couple of minutes farther. Both are served by the Green Line. If coming from Worcester, hop on MBTA’s commuter rail train and get off at the Lansdowne station, which is 3 minutes from the park.
