Boston Children’s Museum Parking

Last Updated on October 24, 2023 by Usama

Boston Children’s Museum is one of the oldest museums in the United States dedicated to the education of children. It’s situated at 308 Congress Street along Fort Point Channel. As one of the best places for families in the city, Boston Children’s Museum offers an array of exhibits, events, and programs. Our guide will take you through the admission process and help you find the most convenient Boston Children’s Museum parking spot. Use the money-saving tips to lower the costs and also save plenty of time!

Boston Children’s Museum Tickets

The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday and has two-time slots: from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Online reservations are required—purchase your ticket through the official website for $18 per person. Free admission is available for members and infants, but you need to reserve a ticket for them, too. Some special exhibits are available at an additional cost, so be sure to purchase those tickets as well if you wish to check them out. Discounts are available for educators, military members, veterans, etc.

Boston Children’s Museum Parking Validation

According to the museum’s official website, parking in the neighborhood ranges from $25 to $45, depending on the facility and time of the day. To get a discounted parking service, head to the Boston Children’s Museum Information Desk after you park the car and have your ticket validated. Note that the Desk is in the first-floor lobby, and they validate printed tickets only—if you book a spot through an app, you cannot validate it. Here are the garages that offer validation discounts:

  • Stillings Street Garage at 11 Stillings Street
  • Farnsworth Street Garage at 17-19 Farnsworth Street
  • Atlantic Wharf Parking Garage at 280 Congress Street

If you’re coming on Saturday or Sunday, the Atlantic Wharf Garage is the best choice—the daily cost is only $9 on weekends! Without validation, Stillings and Farnsworth Street garages have a short-term parking rate of $18 to $21. The three parking garages are marked in yellow on the Boston Children’s Museum parking map below:

Note that street parking on Sleeper St. behind the museum is for residents only! If you don’t have the permit, your vehicle will be subject to towing. Be careful when leaving your car and read the signs to avoid Boston parking tickets!

Accessible Parking

Handicapped parking spaces are obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis in all city parking areas. Limited ADA spots are also available on the streets around the museum. Wherever you park, make sure you display a disabled parking permit or placard. Standard parking rates apply.
