The Alamodome is a multi-purpose stadium located within downtown San Antonio, at 100 Montana St, San Antonio, TX 78203. It’s the home venue of the UTSA Roadrunners, as well as the San Antonio Commanders and the Talons football team. If you plan to watch a game at Alamodome or attend one of the upcoming events, our guide will help you find a convenient parking spot! Discover all event parking options in the vicinity and where to purchase low-cost Alamodome parking tickets, as well as information on tailgating and public transit.

Alamodome Parking Options

For most events, the Alamodome opens four car parking areas placed around the venue: Lots A, B, C, and D. The Alamodome Parking Lot C or B is the best choice if you need a convenient public parking space. Lot A is the most suitable for guests with disabilities, Lot B has spots for oversized vehicles, while Lot D offers a rideshare pick-up area. All the lots are easy to access, and you may use the Alamodome parking lot map below to plan your trip. Note that northbound Cherry Street closes during peak hours, so you should travel south on Cherry Street to access Lots C and B.

The Alamodome parking rates are regulated on an event-by-event basis, and the lots accept all major credit cards. The parking fee for concerts and most other events is usually $20. When it comes to Roadrunners games, we discovered the season passes prices and listed them below.

Roadrunners supporters can secure parking for the entire season! Any season ticket holder may purchase a $120 season parking pass and get a spot in lots A, B, or C, based upon availability. The season pass for RV parking in Lot B costs $240. Only donors to the Roadrunner Athletic Fund are allowed to request a spot in Lot A, and you can find out more by calling the RAF at 210-458-4483. Another way to purchase the Alamodome parking tickets is through Vivid Seats, which usually offers a wide selection of short-term parking services:

Accessible Parking + Free Parking

The Alamodome Parking Lot A offers nearly 130 ADA parking spots available on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as the accessible ramp. Aside from the Alamodome parking pass, you need a disabled parking permit or license plate to occupy an ADA space. Handicapped parking is subject to event rates for all physically impaired guests except disabled veterans—they are entitled to free parking. This also applies to visitors with the following identification: Congressional Medal of Honor, Former POW, Purple Heart, Pearl Harbor Survivor, Legion of Merit, and Air Force/Navy Cross.

Public Transportation in San Antonio

If you live outside the city, the railroad services will help you avoid traffic jams and get to the venue hassle-free. The Amtrak San Antonio station is within a 4-minute walk of the stadium, and it’s served by Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle trains. If you need a ride across the city, public bus services are the best choice. Head to the VIA Metropolitan Transit bus stop next to Lot A and hop on bus #26; a regular bus fare is only $1.30. If you wish to park near a transit station and then ride to the Alamodome, learn more about Park & Ride.

The stadium is located 8.5 miles from SAT. If you need a ride between the two facilities, we suggest that you pre-book a San Antonio Airport Shuttle or get an Uber at San Antonio Airport. TNC drivers pick up and drop off visitors in Lot D. It’s within easy walking distance of the Alamodome, and a pedestrian walkway connects it with the North Plaza.

Tailgating Before Roadrunners Games

All season parking pass holders are allowed to tailgate in Lots A, B, and C, while guests without a valid pass may use a third-party lot in the area. To have the best game-day experience, be sure to follow the guidelines posted by the Alamodome, such as:

  • One Roadrunners parking pass is valid for one space only
  • Blocking driveways, walkways, or other vehicles is prohibited
  • Alcoholic beverages are allowed, but glass containers are forbidden
  • Electric, charcoal, and wood grills are also approved

Before you head to the game, be sure to dispose of all the trash and keep the environment clean. You cannot bring any food or drink into the Alamodome.
