The New 2,000-Space Garage
Jacksonville Aviation Authority is building a new terminal parking garage of almost 2,000 spaces on six levels, south of the existing daily garage, and says it will open in November, before Thanksgiving. It will be the airport's third parking structure. No opening date has been announced, and the airport has not said whether rates will change.
The Jacksonville Aviation Authority's Greg Willis told the Daily Record he knows the garage "will be open prior to the busy Thanksgiving holiday for travelers" and told Jacksonville Today it will open "sometime in November." A Times-Union report had pointed to October, so treat any single date as unconfirmed.
JAX Parking Is Not the Right Choice For You If
- You only have cash. The Economy lots are credit card only, and the airport's rate page lists no cash lot.
- You are staying one night and someone can drive you. A drop-off costs nothing, against $10 in the Economy lot or $22 in the Daily Garage.
- You are counting on the Hourly Garage for a long wait. It lost 349 spaces to a 2025 fire, and repairs are not expected until summer 2027.
